One of the first senior officials that President-elect Donald Trump has tapped to help guide his administration as it takes power is a retired military officer and highly regarded scholar who actively assisted Pentagon efforts to nation-build in Iraq and Afghanistan '-- something Trump has repeatedly criticized.

Retired Army Brig. Gen. Michael J. Meese was a senior adviser to Gen. David H. Petraeus in both countries, and spent nine years teaching at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. He deployed from there to serve as Petraeus's assistant chief of staff in Afghanistan for a year beginning in July 2010, and to Iraq in both 2007 and 2009 to guide the surge and eventual withdrawal of U.S. troops there that Petraeus led. He also earned a doctorate from Princeton University while serving.

Retired Army Col. Peter R. Mansoor, Petraeus's former No. 2 officer, said that Meese is known as bright, talented and conscientious among his peers. In Afghanistan, he was in charge of alliance relations in the headquarters of the International Security Assistance Force in Kabul, a complicated job at an especially bloody time in the war after the Obama administration surged tens of thousands of troops to battle the Taliban.

''Anyone who can keep that group heading in the same direction should be well suited to assisting the Trump team with government transition in the weeks ahead,'' Mansoor said.

Meese, a 32-year Army veteran, declined to comment for this story. Originally a field artillery officer, he retired in 2013 and has served most recently as the chief operating officer of the American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association, a nonprofit that helps military families with insurance, financial planning and survivor assistance. He's seen as someone capable of assisting the Trump transition with both veterans and defense issues.

Former colleagues describe him as affable, pragmatic and private with his political views. His father, Edwin, also is involved in the Trump transition, and is a longtime member of the Republican Party who served in several roles in the Reagan administration, including as attorney general.

''I suppose it makes sense that Mike would have inherited the same contacts and be recognized by the new administration for his gravitas,'' said Bruce Hoffman, the director of the Center for Security Studies at Georgetown University. He recruited Meese to teach there part-time after he retired from the Army because he found his work as a founding member of the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy impressive.

''I think he's an enormously accomplished scholar and leader, and I've always found to have both an intellectual and practical approach,'' Hoffman said.

In 2014, Meese argued in a piece written for the National Defense University that polarization in politics has limited the ability to enhance national security. He cited the federally mandated budget cuts known as sequestration, and argued that if defense spending must be cut, it should be used to bring down the federal deficit, and not spent on social programs.

''While some might argue the military should not comment on domestic programs or entitlement spending, it is not only appropriate, but it is essential that leaders provide their best judgment about the impact of those programs on economic security and national defense,'' he wrote.

Retired Brig. Gen. Timothy Trainor, who retired as the U.S. Military Academy's academic dean in the spring, said that Meese was regarded as a team builder at the academy. He did not know Meese was considering a position with the Trump administration, but said him being involved could help reach across the aisle politically.

''The people who know Mike know that he can really help bridge divides and bring people together,'' said Trainor, now the president of Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland. ''People who know Mike know that, and know that he will be very helpful to the transition team there.''

Donald Trump has named his campaign manager Steve Bannon who has it has been stated in court does not like Jews as his senior White House adviser.

In a press release, the presidential transition team announced that Trump had named Reince Priebus his chief of staff, and Steve Bannon his senior advisor:President-elect Donald J. Trump today announced that Trump for President CEO Stephen K. Bannon will serve as Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor to the President, and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will serve as White House Chief of Staff.

Bannon and Priebus will continue the effective leadership team they formed during the campaign, working as equal partners to transform the federal government, making it much more efficient, effective and productive. Bannon and Priebus will also work together with Vice President-elect Mike Pence to help lead the transition process in the run-up to Inauguration Day.

As CNN's Jake Tapper pointed out on Twitter, court documents suggest that Trump's new White House senior adviser doesn't like Jewish people:

So it begins. Anyone who thought that Trump would moderate or not bring the ugly beliefs of those who are the backbone of his support to the White House have now gotten a massive wake-up call. In 2017, an anti-Semite is going have the ear of the President Of The United States, and occupy an office that is steps away from the Oval Office.

This should be the biggest story in the country right now, but instead, it will be treated by many with a collective shrug as Trump has marked a significant milestone in rolling back the social and culture progress of the last eighty years.

Trump isn't planning on making America great. One look at who he is hiring for key positions suggests that he wants to send the US back to the Stone Age.

Seriously? This is a thing now? Wear a safety pin to show ''you're an ally?'' So immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ people, and others who were targeted and persecuted and (further) marginalized by the Trump Campaign will know they're ''safe'' with you?

No. Just no. Please, take it off.

Let me explain something, white people: We just fucked up. Bad. We elected a racist demagogue who has promised to do serious harm to almost every person who isn't a straight white male, and whose rhetoric has already stirred up hate crimes nationwide. White people were 70% of the voters in the 2016 election, and we're the only demographic Trump won. It doesn't matter why. What matters is there's a white nationalist moving into the Oval Office, and white people'Š'--'Šonly white people'Š'--'Šput him there.

We don't get to make ourselves feel better by putting on safety pins and self-designating ourselves as allies.

Marginalized people know full well the long history of white people calling themselves allies while doing nothing to help.

And make no mistake, that's what the safety pins are for. Making White people feel better. They'll do little or nothing to reassure the marginalized populations they are allegedly there to reassure; marginalized people know full well the long history of white people calling themselves allies while doing nothing to help, or even inflicting harm on, non-white Americans.

Remember the white guys in the 1770s who wrote all about freedom and equality and inalienable rights? Remember how they owned and sold slaves? Yeah, if that's the spirit you want to evoke, go ahead and wear your safety pin. I'm sure lots of white people will smile when they see it. They might even congratulate you. But immigrants and people of color will recognize it as a symbol of your privilege.

Also, you know who is going to be out wearing safety pins like crazy? Trump voters.

If you really want to be an ally, and make a difference for the people harmed by Trump, there are plenty of ways to do that. In fact, here's a link to a whole list of ways you can be a better ally to marginalized communities. Unfortunately, few of them will provide the kind of visibility or reassurance that you think your safety pin will.

I know, I know, you're uncomfortable. You feel guilty. You think people are going to suspect you of being a racist, and you want some way to assuage that guilt and reassure your neighbors that you're one of the good ones. But you know what? You don't get to do that. You need to sit in your guilt right now. You need to feel bad. So do I, so do all of us. We fucked up. We didn't do enough to change the minds of our fellow White people. We unfriended them instead of confronting them. We looked the other way or laughed uncomfortably when our aunts and cousins made racist comments. We were content then to be one of the good ones and now we want congratulations'Š'--'Šbut we fucked up, and now other people are going to pay the price.

Because guess what: Even if you aren't a racist, you still benefit from racism. I'm a white guy with money. This isn't going to hurt me much. Yes, I'm bisexual, and therefore subject to some of the threats against marginalized groups. But it's highly unlikely I'm going to be told I'm not American, or picked up by ICE and held in detention until I'm deported, or beaten or executed by police who decide my mere existence presents a threat to their safety, or denied the right to make my own decisions about my own medical care. For the most part, I'll go about my daily life the way I always have'Š'--'Šand if I want to, I can put a safety pin on my shirt and congratulate myself for being so woke, for being one of the good ones. Meanwhile I'll be benefitting, every minute of every day, from a system that is designed to favor me over people whose skin looks darker than mine.

Don't do it.

If you really need some way to show your support, if you just can't bear to sit in your discomfort for even a little bit longer, here's my suggestion: Instead of doing the thing white people invented to make ourselves feel better, follow the example of the people from the marginalized communities you want to support.

I recommend carrying a big sign. You can make your own, it's easy. On the sign you should write, in big bold letters, ''BLACK LIVES MATTER.''

And hey, if you want you can use your safety pin to fix it to your shirt.

Donald Trump may not live in the White House full-time after assuming the US Presidency in January and is discussing with his advisers about splitting his time between Washington and his penthouse apartment in Manhattan, a media report said.

Mr Trump advisers say the President-elect was "shocked" when he won the election, according to a report in the New York Times and is now contemplating how many days a week he will have to stay in the White House since he is extremely fond of his sprawling and luxurious penthouse apartment, decorated in 24-karat gold and expensive marble, in Trump Tower on the posh Fifth Avenue in New York.

"Trump, a homebody who often flew several hours late at night during the campaign so he could wake up in his own bed in Trump Tower, is talking with his advisers about how many nights a week he will spend in the White House. He has told them he would like to do what he is used to, which is spending time in New York when he can," a report in the New York Times said.

While the future first lady Melania Trump is expected to move to Washington, the couple's 10-year-old son Barron is midway through a school year in New York and it is unclear when the move would happen.The New York Times report said questions about how Mr Trump would divide his time between New York and Washington reflect Mr Trump coming to grips with the fact that his life is about to change radically.

Mr Trump's advisers say he might spend most of the week in Washington, much like members of Congress, and return to Trump Tower or his golf course in New Jersey or his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach on weekends.

The report added that returning home to Trump Tower from the White House may not be Mr Trump's only embrace of the familiar. His aides have said he has also expressed interest in continuing to hold the large rallies that were a staple of his candidacy.

"He likes the instant gratification and adulation that the cheering crowds provide, and his aides are discussing how they might accommodate his demand," it said.

The report added that Mr Trump's advisers hold out the possibility that the president-elect may spend more time in the White House as he grows less overwhelmed and more comfortable in the job.

The real estate billionaire has spent most of the last three decades "cosseted" within Trump Tower, an empowering high-rise where his apartment is on the 58th floor, and a designated elevator takes him from there to his office on the 26th floor.

The report added that Mr Trump wakes at 5 most mornings, reads The New York Post, The New York Times and a handful of other newspapers, and tunes into the morning television news shows.

Mr Trump's affection for his penthouse apartment runs deep as his biographer, Michael D'Antonio, learned when he invited him inside the three-story unit in 2014 for an extended interview.

Mr Trump has described the apartment less as a home than a tribute to his own self-image.

"I really wanted to see if it could be done," Trump has said as he showed D'Antonio around the apartment. "This is a very complex unit. Building this unit, if you look at the columns and the carvings, this building, this unit was harder than building the building itself."

Media outlets across the nation are suggesting that President-elect Donald Trump is planning to take away all access to birth control, despite the fact that he has never claimed the task was on his agenda.

A CNN article published Friday morning titled, ''What happens to birth control under President Trump'' purports that Trump is going to take away access to women's birth control, and the article cites women on social media who are spreading the unfounded worries and fears over the internet and urging women to ''go get IUDs.'' One woman who was cited even suggested that women ''stock up on Plan B'' because it has a long shelf life.

Although the CNN article does not correct the misrepresentation, the truth is that Plan B, the emergency oral contraceptive also known as the ''morning-after pill'' is currently covered by some insurance plans only with a prescription. But it is available to purchase as an over-the-counter drug with unrestricted access. Therefore access to Plan B would not disappear under Trump.

Another article published by Cosmopolitan goes a step further, not only claiming Trump could take away women's access to birth control, but insinuating Trump would actually outlaw birth control methods.

The article titled, ''Women Are Urging Each Other to Get IUDs Now '-- Before It's Too Late'' opens with a paragraph that reads:

The day after the election, women across the country are urging one another to get IUDs over the next 71 days until the president-elect takes office, pointing to the likelihood that Donald Trump will dramatically roll back access to birth control. (One of the first texts I received from a friend as his victory became apparent: ''I'm gonna have to get an IUD asap before they are outlawed.'')

The claim that Trump has shown any interest in outlawing contraceptives is, of course, completely erroneous.

Make no mistake, Trump campaigned on the platform of repealing the Affordable Care Act, which currently provides planholders with birth control and women's preventive visits at no cost other than the cost to taxpayers and other planholders in the form of higher premiums.

Although Trump made headlines on Friday when he announced he would consider keeping key provisions of the Affordable Care Act instead of a full repeal, he gave no indication of future plans around the current coverage for oral contraceptives.

But purporting the idea that Trump plans to go on a rampage to take away women's access to birth control and using social media opinion void of facts as a source is misleading at best, absolutely irresponsible at worst.

If the President-elect was successful in repealing or modifying Obamacare, as it stands now, access to birth control would not change. It simply might not be free.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe aims to underscore the importance of the Japan-U.S. alliance when he meets President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday, Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said.

''This is going to be an important meeting to build trust,'' Kishida told NHK on Sunday. ''We also would like to use this opportunity to input the importance of the Japan-U.S. alliance, as well.''

With Abe set to meet Trump in New York on his way to an Asia-Pacific summit in Peru, the government has been seeking clarity on what direction the Republican political novice wants for bilateral relations after he made comments on the campaign trail at odds with established policies.

Kishida reiterated Japan's long-standing position that it has no plans to develop nuclear weapons. During the campaign, Trump left open the possibility that Japan '-- the only country to have suffered an atomic bombing '-- may have to acquire its own nuclear weapons.

''I don't believe Japan will possess nuclear arms. This principle won't change,'' Kishida said.

Trump's campaign comments on Japan's nuclear armament and his demand that the country pay more for the upkeep of U.S. forces on its soil have worried Tokyo about a possible rift in a security alliance with Washington that has been the bedrock of its defense since World War II.

Defense Minister Tomomi Inada told the same TV program that Japan is already shouldering enough financial burden to support U.S. troops deployed in Japan.

''Japan is making sufficient contribution,'' she said. ''I would like to continue underscoring that Japan is going to strengthen its own defense posture both in quality and quantity, strengthen the Japan-U.S. alliance and strengthen ties with other relevant countries.''

A leaked email from the personal account of Capricia Penavic Marshall, who worked under Hillary Clinton at the State Department, shows that the Clinton Foundation was in contact with comedian John Oliver as far back as February 2015.

The hacked email, which was unearthed by the DC Leaks outfit, suggests some level of collusion between the Clintons, HBO and the British television host.

As presenter of the popular HBO show Last Week Tonight, Oliver has made a name for himself with a series of anti-Donald Trump monologues, including one that made global headlines when he revealed that the Trump family name was once changed from the ancestral name ''Drumpf''.

The email was sent on February 19, 2015 by Greg Propper, an advisor to The Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. Its recipients included Sarah Henning, Director of Programs at the Clinton Foundation, and Capricia Marshal, who served as served as chief of protocol from 2009 to 2013 under Secretary Clinton at the State Department.

The email, which was sent to Henning's 'clintonfoundation.org' address, is entitled, ''We've made contact with John Olivier'' and the body of the email reads, ''And his team is working on it. Hope to have an answer tomorrow.''

The name ''Oliver'' is misspelled in the title of the email, although the context makes it clear that the email is in reference to the comedian. There is no 'John Olivier'' on record that the Clinton Foundation would likely have contacted.

Oliver's show premiered in April 2014. A search of the Last Week Tonight YouTube channel reveals that Oliver first began attacking Trump in February 2016 after the Republican candidate won three primary states.

Many conservatives have questioned why Oliver has failed to deliver even a single monologue attacking Hillary Clinton, who would be easy fodder given the number of scandals that have swirled around her candidacy. Even Oliver's mentor, John Stewart, would occasionally go after Democrats.

Is the answer to that question because Oliver has been friendly with the Clintons since almost a year before the election campaign even began?

Oliver's allies claim the email was an invitation from the Clintons to an event in March 2015 hosted by Chelsea Clinton and that Oliver declined to attend.

While this may be true, the email confirms that the Clintons sought to curry favor with the comedian before he went on to become a fierce anti-Trump polemicist.

Viewing capitalism as a breeding ground for ''unrestrained greed,'' IPS seeks to provide a corrective to ''unrestrained markets and individualism.'' Professing an unquestioning faith in the righteousness of the United Nations, it aims to bring American foreign policy under UN control.Institute for Public Accuracy: This anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-Israel organization sponsored actor Sean Penn's celebrated visit to Baghdad in 2002. It also sponsored visits to Iraq by Democratic Congressmen Nick Rahall and former Democrat Senator James AbourezkInstitute for Women's Policy Research: This group views the U.S. as a nation rife with discrimination against women, and publishes research to draw attention to this alleged state of affairs. It also advocates unrestricted access to taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand, stating that ''access to abortion is essential to the economic well-being of women and girls.''International Crisis Group: One of this organization's leading figures is its Mideast Director, Robert Malley, who was President Bill Clinton's Special Assistant for Arab-Israeli Affairs. His analysis of the Mideast conflict is markedly pro-Palestinian.J Street: This anti-Israel group warns that Israel's choice to take military action to stop Hamas' terrorist attacks ''will prove counter-productive and only deepen the cycle of violence in the region''Jewish Funds for Justice: This organization views government intervention and taxpayer funding as crucial components of enlightened social policy. It seeks to redistribute wealth from Jewish donors to low-income communities ''to combat the root causes of domestic economic and social injustice.'' Center for Progressive Leadership: Funded by the Soros-bankrolled Democracy Alliance, this anti-capitalist organization is dedicated to training future leftist political leaders.John Adams Project:This project of the American Civil Liberties Union was accused of: (a) having hired investigators to photograph CIA officers thought to have been involved in enhanced interrogations of terror suspects detained in Guantanamo, and then (b) showing the photos to the attorneys of those suspects, some of whom were senior al-Qaeda operatives.Moving Ideas Network (MIN): This coalition of more than 250 left-wing activist groups is a partner organization of the Soros-backed Center for American Progress. MIN was originally a project of the Soros-backed American Prospect and, as such, received indirect funding from the Open Society Institute. North American Free Trade Agreement

Chapter Twenty-Two: Final Provisions

Article 2201: Annexes

The Annexes to this Agreement constitute an integral part of this Agreement.

Article 2202: Amendments

1. The Parties may agree on any modification of or addition to this Agreement.

2. When so agreed, and approved in accordance with the applicable legal procedures of each Party, a modification or addition shall constitute an integral part of this Agreement.

Article 2203: Entry into Force

This Agreement shall enter into force on January 1, 1994, on an exchange of written notifications certifying the completion of necessary legal procedures.

Article 2204: Accession

1. Any country or group of countries may accede to this Agreement subject to such terms and conditions as may be agreed between such country or countries and the Commission and following approval in accordance with the applicable legal procedures of each country.

2. This Agreement shall not apply as between any Party and any acceding country or group of countries if, at the time of accession, either does not consent to such application.

Article 2205: Withdrawal

A Party may withdraw from this Agreement six months after it provides written notice of withdrawal to the other Parties. If a Party withdraws, the Agreement shall remain in force for the remaining Parties.

Article 2206: Authentic Texts

The English, French and Spanish texts of this Agreement are equally authentic.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized by their respective Governments, have signed this Agreement.

After all three broadcast networks on Monday promoted the liberal excuse that Hillary Clinton lost the presidential race because of ''fake news'' shared on Facebook, on Wednesday, NBC's Today continued to push the narrative by highlighting a ''feud'' within the social media company and parroting Clinton Campaign talking points blaming the social network for Donald Trump's victory.

At the top of the 7:30 ET half hour, co-host Matt Lauer declared: ''...growing controversy over whether or not to police fake news stories on social media platforms like Facebook. In the aftermath of the election, employees there are now reportedly taking on CEO Mark Zuckerberg over this very issue.''

The liberal media was up in arms Wednesday over President-Elect Donald Trump having the nerve to want a relatively quiet dinner with his family away from the press. Bloomberg's John Heilemann decried the president-elect on With All Due Respect, calling the dinner, ''a major brake in protocol and one the White House Correspondents Association called, quote, 'unacceptable.''' When discussing why the press needed to know the whereabouts of the president Heilemann and his co-host Mark Haplerin were fixated on presidential assassinations.

''We need to be with the president-elect and the president of the United States,'' explained Halperin, ''Not because we're trying to bother him, but because it is our job to cover him, and in the world in which we live-- Kennedy assassination, 9/11.'' Heilemann chimed in noting, ''Reagan assassination attempt, you know.''

''And if something happens to him, the public deserves to know the moment'--as quickly as possible that thing has happened in case he's incapacitated, as you said, and the power has to be transferred to another officer in the government'--the vice president or someone else,'' Heilemann continued to ramble.

Halperin hopped that Trump would soon accept that the press will be with him at all times, so they can move on to scrutinizing his administration. ''And what I don't want is for this fight to become such a lightning rod (as important as it is) that we don't think about all of the areas in which we need to fight so there is the kind of coverage the American public, not just wants, but needs and deserves of this administration,'' he argued.

Their talk about assassinations was sparked by Heilemann wondering when Trump would be ''bridled'' and ''inevitably be brought to heel by the press like every other past president.'' Surly this kind of terminology wouldn't dare be used against President Barack Obama, especially since he gave the press the slip in Hawaii back in 2008. Something both Bloomberg reporters completely failed to mention.

Closing out the segment, Heilemann tried to smear Trump by mischaracterizing Trump's press-less excursion, claiming, ''The president cannot be out in the middle of the night nightclubbing, in Manhattan, without anybody knowing where he is, it's not cool.'' But as amusing as the thought of Trump cutting a rug is, the overblown hysteria from the liberal media is a deception to the public since he was only few blocks from Trump Tower.

Sparks were flying Wednesday on CNN Tonight, as The Hollywood Reporter's Michael Wolff shot down the liberal media's obsession with President-Elect Donald Trump's press-less dinner at the 21 Club. ''All the press has talked about this for the last 24 hours,'' he exclaimed to a fuming Brian Stelter, ''We have to stop talking about ourselves. It's not about us.''

Wolff went on to warn Stelter and the rest of the CNN panel that that mentality is how the election result snuck up on them. ''And unless we learn that, we're going to continue to go down the road-- find ourselves in the position that we found ourselves last Tuesday,'' he argued.

Proving themselves to be completely oblivious to figures of speech, both Stelter and host Don Lemon both defending themselves by claiming that they have talked about other news items in the last 24 hours. ''But nevertheless, they have talked about enormous amount about something that only effects them,'' Wolff shot back.

The host of ''Reliable Sources'' took umbrage with Wolff's position that the press was in the wrong, and argued that Trump was really to blame. ''He made a mistake last night. His administration made a mistake. They should have brought the press with them. It was a mistake,'' Stelter rambled even though Trump has no administration yet. Wolff told Stelter, ''I don't think they should have brought the press with them at all,'' and then said anything else was ''ridiculous.''

Stelter seemed to snap as he started to yell over Wolff and Trump supporter Scottie Nell Hughes ''They have made a series of mistakes for the past eight days! They can correct his mistakes at any time! The press pool is in the lobby of Trump Tower!''

It was a fairly angry response from someone who said ''I'm not angry'' when talking about why the media is fixated on Trump's dinner. ''He's not president yet and I find it really interesting you want the American people to be angry at a man who has not been sworn into office yet for just wanting to go have dinner with his family,'' Hughes stated.

Lemon agreed with Stelter, claiming, ''I don't think anyone insinuated that.'' But the way Stelter exploded, and the media have been framing the story proves just the opposite. When ABC reports the dinner as ''bucking the tradition of transparency;'' and Bloomberg calls it ''a major brake in protocol;'' and the White Correspondents Association describes it as ''unacceptable,'' what other emotion could the press possibly be trying to impart to the public other than anger?

A female Trump supporter has achieved instant internet fame after crashing a live MSNBC interview and scolding reporter Cal Perry for biased and dishonest reporting. (scroll down for video)While interviewing an anti-Trump protester holding a sign that read ''Ban All Bigotry, Deport Hate, Build Bridges,'' Perry was suddenly interrupted when a female wearing a Trump shirt barged in, asking, ''Bigotry but married to an immigrant, right? Make sure you get that on camera!''

Surprised, MSNBC's Cal Perry stares in shock while the anti-Trump protester who was being interviewed shouts, ''that's not what bigotry means!''

But the woman, who's now being referred to on Reddit as ''Candice The Cuckslayer,'' totally ignores the cuck and continues barraging the hoaxing media reporter:

''But you don't want to get that interview, just get [his sign] on camera, that's what the media wants. Why don't you get it on camera instead of editing, his one million dollar a month anonymous Feed the Children donation. Why don't you get that on camera?''

At this point, the reporter simply stares in stunned silence as ''Candice'' drops endless truth bombs:

''Why don't you get on camera that he recruited immigrants to help him build towers so he could put them up? But you don't get that on camera do you? This [sign] is what you get on camera and you edit it accordingly. You don't include the fact that we have an AWESOME President now.''

The reporter finally manages to blurt, ''What's your name so I got it for'--''''None of your damn business,'' shouts Candice, ''Oh you'll edit it! You'll edit it and portray it as something totally different than what it really is! Right? So you're not getting my name! You're getting a f*ck you! Because you don't give it as it really is! You don't give it, or portray it, as it really is! [Trump] is a good man, with a good awesome heart who traveled the world feeding the kids. You f*ckin mother-f*cker!''

Candice's outburst is an understandable reaction to a year-and-a-half of 24/7 mainstream media lies about Trump and his supporters.

From the claim that his rallies ''incite violence'' to the WikiLeaks' emails proving CNN's gave preferential treatment to Hillary Clinton, the major networks have proven to be completely dishonest.

Just last week, while covering anti-Trump riots, CNN interviewed an ''impassioned protester'' who just so happened to be a former CNN cameraman, delegitimizing everything he said.

If you want to cry over the election of Donald Trump, do it on your own time, says an Iowa lawmaker.

State Rep. Bobby Kaufmann (R) explained on Fox & Friends today why he's put forth the "Suck It Up, Buttercup" bill in response to how colleges have handled students' anger and sadness over Hillary Clinton's surprise defeat.

The bill would target state universities that use taxpayer dollars for additional grief counseling or other things - like "cry rooms" - to help students cope with election-related sadness. He also wants to increase the criminal penalties for protesters who block highways, as some demonstrators did near Iowa City last week.

"That's incredibly dangerous. What if someone had been trying to go to the hospital or was in an emergency and you had these spoiled brats blocking interstate 80?" he said, adding he encourages dissent and protests, but not while endangering innocent people.

Kaufmann told Pete Hegseth that the idea for the bill came about last week when he watched how universities were responding to the election results.

He said he got reports about "cry rooms" being set up for students at universities that already face rising tuition costs.

"That's a waste of taxpayer dollars and that also doesn't prepare kids for life. In life there's winners and losers and when your car breaks down, your kids get sick or you have to take a second job to pay your mortgage, you don't get to go to a cry zone, you don't get to pet a pony. You have to deal with it," he said.

CHISINAU, Moldova (AP) '-- A Moldovan government official says work on a pipeline that will transport natural gas from Romania to the Moldovan capital will begin next year.

The pipeline, which is expected to become operational in May 2018, will help lessen the former Soviet republic's dependency on Russia. It is an extension of one running from the northern Romanian city of Iasi to Ungheni, a Moldovan town near the Romanian border.

Valeriu Triboi, Moldova's deputy economy minister said Friday construction of the pipeline from Ungheni to Moldova's capital Chisinau, a city of one million, will begin next spring.

Moldova, which is hoping to join the European Union, hopes to get financial help from the EU. The pipeline is expected to cost at least 83 million euros ($94 million).

But I have argued that the current path of globalization demands a course correction." Greece has its own mountain to climb. It signed up to a third 86 billion euro bailout last year. But says it can't recover from the worst economic downturn in generations without access to cheap ECB loans which debt relief would provide. Greek officials have pinned their hopes on Obama. They want him to persuade the country's creditors to restructure some of Greece's debt - And encourage other nations to help share the burden of its current refugee crisis. On Wednesday Obama didn't directly address their concerns, instead he finished his speech by shouting: (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT, BARACK OBAMA, SAYING: "Zito I Ellas" Long Live Greece. Right now though its actions, not words, that will bring the most comfort to Greeks. They'll be looking to see if his new found language skills can translate, when he speaks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel during his next stop in Berlin.

Plans drawn up by Federica Mogherini, the EU's foreign policy chief, will give it a central role in boosting efficiency and increasing the capability of European defence systems.

A spokesperson said: ''The European Commission is ready to play an active role in fostering European defence cooperation.

''Europe's soft power is not enough in the long run without at least some integrated defence capacities.''

Overall military spending in Europe hit £171 billion last year, but only four out of the 28 EU nations met the NATO spending target of 2 per cent of economic output.

Michael Rogers is the current head of the NSA's Cybersecurity Division. During an interview with the Wall Street Journal today, he was asked to comment on the Wikileaks release of DNC emails in the lead up to last week's election.

His answer was withering.

"There shouldn't be any doubt in anybody's mind. This was not something that was done casually. This was not something that was done by chance. This was not a target that was selected purely arbitrarily. This was a conscious effort by a nation-state to attempt to achieve a specific effect."

Looks like they got what they were looking for, too.

The professional left is absolutely petrified of Steve Bannon for exactly the same reason they were petrified of Andrew Breitbart. Both know how to defeat the progressive left's talking points and tired false narratives. Both Andrew and Steve know that modern politics is downstream from popular culture. Direct messaging, around the media, removes their control.

For that reason Steve Bannon is considered to be an existential threat by the progressive movement and DC Democrats and must be removed at all costs. The Liberal government is repealing what it calls a "discriminatory" law that makes it illegal to have anal sex under the age of 18, unless it is between a husband and wife.

Right now, the age of consent for sexual activity is 16 but the Criminal Code prohibits anal intercourse for people under the age 18 unless they are husband and wife, a discrepancy many have denounced as unconstitutional.

Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould announced the change today, saying the "outdated" law violates equality rights.

"This section of the Criminal Code is discriminatory and the LGBTQ2 community has rightfully called for its repeal," she said.

"Our society has evolved over the last few decades and our criminal justice system needs to evolve as well. This legislation will help ensure that the system is keeping pace with societal change and continuing to meet expectations of Canadians."

Wilson-Raybould said the change is substantive and not just symbolic. In 2014 and 2015, there were 69 charges laid under the law, though none led to convictions. The minister said appellate courts across the country have deemed the law unconstitutional.

The bill, C-32, is retroactive to 1983, but Wilson-Raybould said the law does not mean automatic pardons. That falls under the jurisdiction of Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale, who is studying the issue, she said.

Diversity and inclusion"The proposed amendment would ensure, in law, that all forms of consensual sexual activity are treated the same," she said. "Diversity and inclusion have long been among the values Canadians embrace. Canadians expect their laws and their government to reflect these values."

Jake Enwright, press secretary to interim Conservative Leader Rona Ambrose, said she backs the change.

"Ms. Ambrose personally supports Bill C-32, which will codify well established jurisprudence from jurisdictions across Canada and all levels of the judiciary,"'Ž he said in an email.

The Conservative caucus has not met to discuss the legislation.

The age of consent, also known as the "age of protection" refers to the age at which a young person can legally consent to sexual activity. All sexual activity without consent, regardless of age, is a criminal offence.

As the law stands now, anyone who engages in anal intercourse is guilty of an indictable offence and could be imprisoned for up to 10 years. The exceptions are private consensual relations between husband and wife and any two persons when both partners are 18 years or older.

Age of consent laws apply to all forms of sexual activity, ranging from kissing and touching to sexual intercourse.

Wilson-Raybould was joined by Edmonton Centre MP Randy Boissonnault, who has been appointed as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's new special adviser for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and two-spirited (LGBTQ2) issues.

Edmonton Centre MP Randy Boissonnault will report directly to Trudeau and work with various organizations to promote equality, protect rights and end discrimination.

Boissonnault will be responsible for assessing a range of issues, including planning an apology to the LGBTQ2 community for past government discrimination.

Equal treatment, respect"The actions being announced today are part of the Government of Canada's overall efforts to ensure that all Canadian citizens are treated equally and with respect," said a release from the prime minister's office.

Boissonnault said there is much work ahead to end discrimination and address historic injustices.

He said he will be consulting broadly with organizations and the LGBT community to address pardons and to ensure all various issues are properly addressed in the promised apology.

"We will take the time to make sure we get this right," he said.

In June, Trudeau raised a rainbow-coloured Pride flag on Parliament Hill for the first time in Canada's history, in recognition of the people who have "fought a long time" to secure equal rights for LGBT Canadians.

A class-action lawsuit was filed earlier this month by former public servants and members of the military who lost their jobs because of their sexual orientation.

On Sunday, President-elect Donald Trump named former chairman of Breitbart news and campaign manager to then Republican presidential candidate Trump, Stephen K. Bannon, as his chief strategist in the White House. Bannon will be working as ''equal partners'' with former RNC Chairman Reince Preibus.

But for some who know some background on Bannon, and have personal experience with the man, this does not sit well. One of those people is the Blaze's own Dana Loesch, who worked with Bannon for a time while she was at Breitbart. In a clip of Monday's show, Dana gave her thoughts about Bannon.

''I'll say this. I like the idea of Reince Priebus being in there, and being a key figure in the Trump administration,'' says Dana. ''But I can't say the same thing for Steve Bannon.''

''Steve Bannon puts himself above everything,'' she continued. ''And I've worked with Steve, and I just don't think this is a good fit for the country. Maybe it is for Steve Bannon, but it's not a good fit for the country.''

Dana went on to explain that this position is a position of service to the voters and to the country, and because of this, is not a good place for a man like Bannon to be.

''You cannot go into this position with vengeance in your heart,'' says Dana. ''You cannot go into this position with pettiness in your heart, and that therein would disqualify Steve Bannon.''

Jess McIntosh, who worked as director of communications outreach for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, told MSNBC Monday that white women didn't vote for the candidate due to ''internalized misogyny.''

''All In'' host Chris Hayes noted that, while women of color voted ''overwhelmingly'' for Clinton, the former secretary of state did only ''a point better'' among white women than President Barack Obama did in 2012.

Hayes asked McIntosh why Clinton failed to get more white women supporting her.

''Internalized misogyny is a real thing, and this is a thing we have to be talking about,'' McIntosh replied.

''We as a society react poorly to women seeking positions of power,'' she continued. ''We are uncomfortable about that, and then we seek to justify that uncomfortable feeling because it can't possibly be because we don't want to see a woman in that position of power.''

McIntosh said ''we'll figure out exactly what happened with turnout,'' particularly among ''white college-educated women.''

''But we have work to do talking to those women about what happened this year, and why, why, why we would vote against our self-interests,'' she lamented.

PORTLAND, Ore. '-- More than 70 percent of the 112 protesters arrested in Portland last week didn't vote in Oregon, according to state election records. The other approximately 30 percent did cast a ballot in Oregon or in another state.

At least seventy-nine demonstrators either didn't turn in a ballot or weren't registered to vote in the state.

Following Tuesday's presidential election of Donald Trump, thousands of people took to the streets in downtown Portland for five straight notes. The activity included at least one night that the police declared to be a riot, with more than $1 million in property damage. The bulk of the arrests happened on Friday and Saturday evenings as protesters faced off against police.

KGW compiled a list of the 112 people arrested by the Portland Police Bureau during recent protests. Those names and ages, provided by police, were then compared to state voter logs by Multnomah County Elections officials.

Records show 39 of the protesters arrested were registered in the state but didn't return a ballot for the November 8 election. Thirty-six of the demonstrators taken into custody weren't registered to vote in Oregon.

Kevin Grigsby was one of 71 arrested during the Saturday night protest. He said he didn't do anything wrong, but told KGW he also did not vote.

"I did not (vote) and the reason why is because we know that the electoral college is really what matters the most. And I think that we need to change that because your vote doesn't matter if you don't have enough electoral college points.," said Grigsby.

It is unclear if those who aren't registered in Oregon are registered to vote in other states. Most of those gave Oregon addresses as their official residence in court records.

Four of the 112 arrestees are under the age of 18 and thus not eligible to vote, and 33 of the protesters did vote.

Statewide, nearly 79 percent of Oregon's registered voters cast their ballots, representing just over 2 million votes. While nearly 9 out of every 10 Republican and Democratic voters did vote, only 63 percent of those not registered with one of those parties did participate. Officials attribute some of the lack of voting to Oregon's new motor voter law, which has automatically registered hundreds of thousands of people as new voters.

This article originally stated that 35 people were registered to vote and did not. One woman who was arrested told KGW she recently moved to Washington and did vote in Washington. She was also registered to vote in Oregon.

Following Donald Trump's win in Tuesday's presidential election, many high school and college students were having a tough time dealing with the reality of the results. There were reports of mass walkouts, protests and students gathering on campuses to mourn Hillary Clinton's loss in what were termed, ''cry-ins.''

In some cases, schools accommodated student requests to delay exams, cancelled classes and reportedly provided grief counseling to distraught members of the staff and student body.

After hearing about state schools in Iowa coddling students, creating safe zones, cancelling exams, etc., Bobby Kaufmann, a member of the Iowa State house, decided he had seen enough.

Kaufmann, Chairman of the Iowa House Oversight Committee, has announced he is going to open an investigation into the state schools, hoping to learn just how many taxpayer dollars were wasted on the ''cry baby'' reactions to Trump's victory over Clinton.

Speaking with WHO Radio's Simon Conway, Kaufman explained his plan to co-sponsor the ''Suck It Up, Buttercup'' Bill. The proposed legislation would identify the monies spent by state schools on activities deemed to be a waste of money. The state would then penalize those schools by cutting triple the amount of money wasted from the 2017 budget.

Calling the school's actions ''absolutely asinine,'' Kaufman vowed, ''I'm gonna find out exactly how many taxpayer dollars are being used for these cry zones and for all these different safe zones (so) you can talk about your feelings. And I'm gonna take whatever that number is and we're gonna triple it and cut it from the university budge.''

Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is a pattern of pathologically dissociative and psychotic behavior, first observed in the late hours of November 8th 2016, and increasing in severity with passing time. Sufferers of Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder often exhibit pronounced cognitive dissonance, sudden bouts of rage, uncontrollable crying, suicidal ideation, and extreme sadness.

Signs and Symptoms:People with Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder are characterized by a persistent unwillingness to accept that Donald Trump is going to Make America Great Again.

Individual sufferers often display signs of paranoia and delusion; in acute cases psychotic episodes have been observed. Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is different from being upset about the results of the 2016 presidential election; People with TARD are unwilling or unable to accept reality, despite irrefutable evidence.

According to the DSM-V, individuals with TARD exhibit most or all of the following symptoms:

- Telling others they are moving to Canada

- Fixated on fantasies about the Electoral College

- Protesting an election no credible source contests the outcome of

- Exclamations that ''Someone'' should do ''Something''

- Acute change in demeanor from pompous and arrogant to fearful and combative

- Claim that anyone who disagrees with them is some combination of Racist, Sexist, Bigoted, Homophobic, and actually some sort of Hitler persona

Causes and Mechanisms:Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder was directly caused by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America. For many, both in America and worldwide, this was a shocking and unexpected outcome; their preferred news sources having failed to inform them that the alternative candidate was a criminal parasite in such ill health she got chucked into the back of a van like a kidnap victim.

Research is ongoing, but TARD appears to correlate closely with the following environmental and behavioral factors:

- Membership in the Democratic party

- Identifying as a Feminist

- Currently enrolled in college, and/or

- Possession of a Liberal Arts college degree

- Cuckoldry

- Living in a densely populated metropolitan area

- Massive student debt

- Spotty or non-existent work history

- Hipsterism

Diagnosis:Diagnosis of Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is straightforward. Ask the patient if Donald Trump is going to be the Next President of the United States of America. Some patients will become agitated, and may attempt to deflect. It's critical you press them on the issue, even if they start babbling about 'muh triggers'. A sufferer of TARD will begin to ramble incoherently, often displaying three or more of the symptoms within a short period of time.

Treatment:The only known effective treatment is exposure therapy. The patient must be repeatedly exposed to reality, and should wear a Make America Great Again hat as long as they are able to tolerate it.

Each exposure should increase in length, after a week the patient should be encouraged to be seen in public wearing the MAGA hat. Coach the patient to refer to Donald Trump as President-Elect Trump.

Patients with TARD are very resistant to treatment, and dangerous in large groups. Any possibility of treatment requires that they be separated from their hive-mind support apparatus; they cannot begin the process of accepting reality in the presence of encouragement towards delusion and irrationality. Separation may require the assistance of law enforcement.

If you have a friend or loved one suffering from TARD, urge them to seek treatment. Together we can beat this scourge, and Make America Great Again!

Jewish business magnate George Soros has orchestrated a ''color revolution'' against US President-elect Donald Trump, says an American political analyst, pointing to nationwide anti-Trump protests as evidence.

E. Michael Jones, editor of the Culture Wars Magazine, told Press TV on Sunday that the unrest following Trump's crushing victory over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Tuesday was carefully planned by Soros.

He also argued that polls are being used as a means to undermine Trump's presidency, just like they were used against him before the election.

According to an ABC News/ Washington Post survey released on Sunday, 26 percent of Americans thought Trump's election victory over Clinton was not legitimate.

''What we are seeing here now is George Soros once again intervening in the internal politics of the United States by creating a color revolution,'' Jones said.

Republican leaning media outlets like Fox News allege that MoveOn is much larger than what it looks and that it ''owns'' the Democratic Party. The network has openly suggested that Soros owns the organization.

During the 2004 presidential election, Soros gave nearly $1.5 million to the MoveOn.org Voter Fund.

In this year's cycle, MoveOn issued a press release after Trump's election, inviting Americans to hold ''peaceful'' protests across the US.

''The gatherings '' organized by MoveOn.org and allies '' will affirm a continued rejection of Donald Trump's bigotry, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and misogyny and demonstrate our resolve to fight together for the America we still believe is possible,'' the organization's statement read.

MoveOn even boasted of creating ''over 200'' gatherings within two hours of issuing the call.

Thousands of protesters have been holding rallies in various parts of the US, urging him to resign over his racist and divisive campaign pledges.

Major US cities like Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Portland and several other cities have seen violent confrontations between protesters and security forces, with over 200 people being arrested in Los Angeles alone.

According to leaked emails released by the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, Hillary Clinton's top aide John Podesta had instructed Soros in 2008 on how to stir American voters through organizations similar to MoveOn.
