John C Dvorak: You take him off the ballot to protect a
0:01
democracy. Adam curry,
0:04
Adam Curry: John C. Devora. December 24 2023. In this short
0:07
horn winning nation media assassination episode 1690. This
0:12
is no agenda, making a list checking it twice. broadcasting
0:17
live from the heart of a Texas Hill Country here in FEMA Region
0:21
number six in the morning, everybody. I'm Adam curry,
0:24
John C Dvorak: and from Northern Silicon Valley, where I've
0:26
concluded that broadcasting live sports events over streaming
0:30
services doesn't work. I'm John C. Dvorak. Greg bobbin Buzzkill.
0:37
Adam Curry: That fast action bringing you down, getting that
0:40
ghosting, getting that trailing getting that not so good
0:43
picture.
0:44
John C Dvorak: No, I said, what happens?
0:45
Adam Curry: Oh, what's the problem? Then?
0:46
John C Dvorak: It's just crashes.
0:49
Adam Curry: It crashes? What are you watching? Is it YouTube?
0:52
John C Dvorak: Let's just quickly Okay, the the NFL, which
0:56
is a corrupt organization, the way I see it, they just take
0:59
whatever, whoever throws money. I am looking at Taylor Swift.
1:01
Yes. Whoever throws money at him. And so the Amazon decided
1:08
to stream live football on Thursday nights. Okay. And
1:14
nobody likes these Thursday night games anyway, so I'll let
1:17
Amazon do it. So there's live stream, it doesn't work. It
1:21
doesn't load. It's an Oh, go to Amazon help. You can't get your
1:25
video, and then it loads all of a sudden, you'll get a bit of
1:28
it, and then it's crashes with a message. Something happened.
1:32
Okay. So you have to go back and reload.
1:35
Adam Curry: It doesn't say something went wrong. Yes,
1:39
something went wrong. That's my favorite message. Yes. Some
1:42
John C Dvorak: you've seen that?
1:44
Adam Curry: Not during sports ball. But yes, I've seen this.
1:46
Yeah,
1:47
John C Dvorak: well, Amazon is overwhelmed. Their Prime Video
1:50
is out of control. And yes, you see that message. I tried to
1:54
watch your reach here. I had similar problems. But when you
1:56
try to watch the Thursday night football game, except I suppose
2:00
in some areas, it's almost impossible because it's all
2:03
going through one small pipe. Normally a football game is
2:07
distributed all around the country through local stations
2:10
over the air and even on local cable is easy. It gets
2:14
distributed, it's fine. It's not one thin pipe, you know, where
2:17
everybody has to go to this pipe to get their stuff. This is a
2:20
stupid idea. And they're going to promote it even more, because
2:24
I guess they just did a game recently, where they streamed a
2:27
football game on the peacock network. I don't even know how
2:31
to get that. And nobody watched it. This is unbelievable. This
2:36
is unacceptable. Jhansi de Bourgh X
2:39
Unknown: diva today wow,
2:40
Adam Curry: this twice in a month. Start off with a
2:44
complaint let's go and well, you know, it's clear we need to do
2:48
we need to buy up a whole bunch of those local OTA stations and
2:54
then and start broadcasting live sports. I mean, we'll have of
2:58
course we'll have to be badminton with what we can
3:00
afford but it'll be a start. We
3:02
John C Dvorak: can we can do if we can do it with a fund
3:06
Adam Curry: everybody you know everybody has a TV that will do
3:08
everyone's TV does that you just got to get your $12 antenna
3:14
Don't you think is genius idea
3:15
John C Dvorak: and people are flocking to over here? Yes, I
3:18
Adam Curry: think we have an exit strategy. Wow.
3:20
John C Dvorak: Do you have an over the error connection? Yes,
3:22
of course. You know I have that. Where is where are your channels
3:26
coming from?
3:26
Adam Curry: Oh ma'am. All over. San Antonio. Austin. Burnie see
3:34
there's another one. Those are the big ones. Oh, I have over
3:37
100 stations.
3:40
John C Dvorak: Beautiful over the air OTA OTA, OTA, going OTA
3:46
I'm an OTA Oh,
3:48
Adam Curry: everybody standby. Again, it's that time of year.
3:51
That's right. It's Christmas. One is Christmas time. What do
3:55
we do? We scare people this
3:58
Unknown: morning with three days before Christmas law enforcement
4:01
on alert reporting the most challenging threat environment
4:04
since 911. Tied to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
4:10
Oh no Tober sevens. The FBI has received more than 1800 reports
4:18
of threats or other types of tips or leads that are somehow
4:22
related to or have a nexus to the current conflict in Israel.
4:26
Oh god.
4:27
Oh, no FBI now has 100 active full scale investigations tied
4:31
to that middle east car. Stop.
4:34
John C Dvorak: Who is that woman she has that? Bradley Lisa
4:38
Monaco Susan Rice to Lisa Monaco.
4:41
Adam Curry: You nailed it. That was Lisa Monaco and get this Now
4:45
what
4:45
John C Dvorak: else on Foreign Relations creep?
4:47
Adam Curry: Yeah. And what is she wearing?
4:50
John C Dvorak: A funny sweater.
4:52
Adam Curry: No, a red, a red blazer? Because you know she's
4:56
important. Go go go and go out on the street. The point to me
5:01
how many women are walking around with a red blazer on? I
5:04
have never seen one. You only see it in Congress and with
5:08
douche bags and of course, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, which may may
5:14
be a subliminal message, but the women who wear these red
5:18
jackets, sometimes it's yellow. They
5:22
John C Dvorak: the right No, it's mostly red. It's
5:24
Adam Curry: a power play. It's a power play, and she's sitting
5:26
there with Pierre. Well, Pierre, we got some threat vectors
5:30
threat environments, it's very dangerous. 1800 tips and
5:34
Unknown: officials also reporting a spike in threats to
5:36
public officials, agents and police now investigating violent
5:40
threats against the Colorado Supreme Court after its ruling
5:43
disqualifying former President Trump from running for office.
5:46
citing his alleged role in the January 6 insurrection. Trump is
5:50
expected to appeal that ruling to the US Supreme Court as soon
5:54
as next week. The Deputy Attorney General telling me in
5:57
an ABC News exclusive. That's the public officials are at a
6:01
level they've never seen before. Oh,
6:04
is an unprecedented public officials across the board. Oh,
6:11
Pierre, we've had cases involving threats to kill FBI
6:15
agents, a Supreme Court justice and three presidential
6:19
candidates and a couple podcasts.
6:22
To be clear Monaco and other top law enforcement officials,
6:25
including the FBI director are saying there's no reason to
6:28
panic. Oh, all of the foreseeable future and through
6:32
the holiday.
6:36
Adam Curry: But don't panic. No. ABC New York took this and went
6:41
to the streets, their very own streets because not only do we
6:44
have Christmas, we also have New Year's, and we have Trump to be
6:49
honest about it. We got all kinds of stuff there. Now let's
6:53
just listen to how the local newscaster starts it off by
6:56
saying there's no evidence of anything going on but
7:00
Unknown: we have covered the holiday weather forecast the
7:02
holiday travel situation now the more troubling angle and yes,
7:06
there is no confirmed terrorist threat in our area for either
7:09
the Christmas holiday or in New York City. But intelligence
7:13
agencies and security experts believe that with the war and
7:16
chaos in the Middle East we are in a kind of danger zone we
7:21
can't New York Minute ignore
7:24
you'll find an increased police presence in Times Square this
7:26
year. Both officers you'll see and once you don't even know
7:29
where the Wait
7:30
John C Dvorak: Wait Stop, stop stop. Is this different than any
7:34
other New Year's Eve ever increase police presence?
7:40
Adam Curry: Oh, of course it's not different. This
7:42
John C Dvorak: exactly the same as it's always been an increased
7:45
police presence during New Years.
7:48
Adam Curry: I will say in 1987 New Years 1987 When I had just
7:54
freshly arrived at MTV, my first gig, not just something for
7:58
Halloween for them. But then my first gig was I was live from
8:01
Times Square. Back when Times Square was not made of rubber.
8:05
Back when you had this little island between Broadway and
8:08
Seventh Avenue you could get killed on those streets. Yes, it
8:11
John C Dvorak: was a good time.
8:12
Adam Curry: It was a good time. Then I had police presence
8:16
around me. It was definitely more dangerous than just the
8:22
sheer nature of Time Square. You could try and die. But now Times
8:27
John C Dvorak: Square was bad a real threat security
8:30
Unknown: experts say police are facing the most challenging
8:32
threat environment since before 911 You're receiving more tips
8:35
Adam Curry: what happened to January 7 Come on people you're
8:39
literally you're messing up your messaging here working behind
8:42
the scenes to that depth
8:43
Unknown: social media tips for people following all these leads
8:49
oh
8:49
Adam Curry: yeah social media or someone posted on x is some
8:52
could go on we found that all these leads then they cut to war
8:56
footage.
8:57
Unknown: These leads
8:59
at the increased threat started on October 7 machine
9:01
John C Dvorak: gun at Times Square.
9:04
Adam Curry: Yeah, there's all sudden there's sand in Times
9:06
Square and machine guns. The ongoing war between Israel and
9:09
Hamas
9:10
Unknown: with the pro Palestinian watches right now is
9:13
sapping a lot of the strength of this please
9:16
Adam Curry: hold on a second. It seems the real threat here is
9:19
the pro Palestinian marches. So
9:21
Unknown: that's that's the cause of concern
9:22
Adam Curry: nationwide. The
9:23
Unknown: FBI has investigated more than 1800 Tips since then.
9:26
And has more than 100 Open investigations that are in some
9:29
way tied to the conflict.
9:30
We've had cases involving threats to kill FBI agents, a
9:35
Supreme Court justice and three presidential candidate five
9:39
Adam Curry: gold
9:42
Unknown: is something that Director of the FBI testified
9:44
about in front of Congress earlier this month.
9:46
Adam Curry: I've never seen a time where the threats are so
9:49
many
9:51
John C Dvorak: elevators more money all at exactly the same
9:54
time.
9:54
Unknown: The biggest concern a lone wolf some small groups
10:00
is time to really be concerned about this. We will panic of
10:03
course. But nonetheless, we're in rare times. You look at the
10:07
hate crime numbers that are up in crime. These have
10:09
extraordinary levels that we haven't seen.
10:11
But the country's largest city is used to threats. And police
10:14
say they're more than prepared to host the country's largest
10:17
New Year's Eve celebration.
10:19
This is going to be the safest play.
10:21
Adam Curry: Now listen, this and all of that. We've got machine
10:24
guns, we've got no threats to the can and kill everybody and
10:29
then but this will be the safest New Year's Eve ever. Everybody's
10:32
Unknown: largest New Year's Eve celebration are safe.
10:34
This is going to be the safest place in the country and not the
10:38
world. A New York City Police Department has the greatest
10:42
resources, the greatest intelligence and the greatest
10:46
town
10:47
Adam Curry: we smell good to go where with all
10:49
Unknown: to know how to deal with the situation with this
10:52
in just the past two months, there have been 450 Local
10:55
demonstrations directly connected to the Israel Hamas
10:58
war. And police are preparing for the possibility that one of
11:01
those demonstrations could take place in this area on New Year's
11:04
Eve.
11:05
Adam Curry: So that was just ABC. But CBS Face the Nation. I
11:10
mean, they deserve and what kind of award can we get for bull
11:14
crap scaring the public? Maybe that's the award we should be
11:17
giving out every single year. Scary
11:20
John C Dvorak: to the end additional reason you can can't
11:23
do multiple awards. We're in the position to do that. I don't
11:27
know what your reluctance is. I can't can't figure it out a
11:30
plan. You
11:30
Adam Curry: did it but you need to plan you know,
11:33
John C Dvorak: that means meetings forgetting.
11:36
Adam Curry: Margaret Brennan brought in all of her favorites.
11:40
I mean, I have to give it to them. They were working at well,
11:44
of course they recorded this yesterday, or maybe even Friday.
11:47
They're not sitting there live in the studio on Sunday night on
11:50
a Sunday. Thanks so not on Christmas Eve. So they brought
11:53
in the poop guy by surprise.
11:56
John C Dvorak: Margaret was working. This must have been
11:57
really recorded a while ago. They
11:59
Adam Curry: got him to gaze and pixie girl CIA stooge harridge.
12:04
Everybody was in on this, because we need to scare
12:08
everybody about all kinds of stuff. Including including
12:12
including, oh,
12:16
Unknown: it's tradition here at CBS News to scare the
12:18
Adam Curry: crap out of you on Christmas Eve other
12:20
Unknown: our Washington reporters and look forward to
12:22
the year ahead. Oh, yes, Catherine. And, Jeff, I know you
12:25
talk to a lot of law enforcement sources as well. What's the
12:28
degree of concern about what happens how as this plays out in
12:31
the coming?
12:32
Adam Curry: What's What's your degree of concern, John, but
12:34
what what is your degree of concern? A
12:37
John C Dvorak: to
12:38
Unknown: already law enforcement across the country is dealing
12:42
with an uptick in domestic
12:45
Adam Curry: an uptick in domestic terrorism? Where has
12:48
there been domestic errors? Where's
12:50
Unknown: this?
12:50
Adam Curry: Where's the off? Where's the tick
12:52
Unknown: dealing with an uptick in domestic terrorism cases?
12:55
Because there is this concern about how will the public react
12:59
if there is a conviction in any of these cases and already, the
13:03
number of domestic terrorism cases that they've been
13:06
investigating the FBI specifically, compared to the
13:10
number of international terrorism organizations and
13:14
those kinds of cases? They're about running even?
13:18
Adam Curry: Hold on a second. There's no evidence of this.
13:22
There's not been any stories about what's the most recent
13:26
domestic terrorism case we've heard of? was
13:29
John C Dvorak: a school shooting somewhere. A month ago, maybe? I
13:35
mean, I it doesn't seem to I don't know. You're you're asking
13:40
me.
13:41
Adam Curry: I'm sorry. What am I well
13:42
Unknown: enforcement is is also very focused on preventing any
13:46
kind of domestic terrorism. We're
13:48
in this dynamic threat environment right now.
13:51
Adam Curry: Or dynamic threat environment right
13:53
John C Dvorak: now. Law enforcement is interested in
13:55
maybe stopping with more more than nothing else, or more than
13:59
anything else. It's stopping speeding
14:02
Adam Curry: every Christmas domestic threat environment and
14:04
Merry Christmas, everybody. We're looking forward to your
14:06
domestic terrorism is
14:08
John C Dvorak: not wasn't that local law enforcement is doing
14:10
around here, man trying to clean up the homeless encampments.
14:14
Adam Curry: I need. I need to I need to help these people out a
14:17
little bit. They have this this has
14:20
John C Dvorak: some machine gun fire. What are you going to do?
14:24
Unknown: Catherine, you have this extraordinary job of
14:27
covering the President's I'm sorry, I want to fast credit.
14:34
The focus squarely is on loan actors or loan offenders,
14:38
individuals, offenders who are inspired by events overseas or
14:43
they're inspired to act radicalized by domestic events
14:46
and
14:47
John C Dvorak: listen to that sentence again. There is
14:49
inspired to act and radicalized Yes.
14:53
Adam Curry: Stopped I said that meal when Christina was a baby I
14:56
said stop acting radicalized you stupid child
14:59
Unknown: alone a fan nors individuals who are inspired by
15:02
events overseas, or they're inspired to act radicalized by
15:06
domestic events and very opportunistic what so it talks
15:10
about car ramming attacks it talks about weapons, it talks
15:14
about knives and a very short what law enforcement calls flash
15:18
to bang that's in between wanting to act and then making
15:22
the decision to act oh god
15:24
Adam Curry: flashbang Wow, this is a new target write this down
15:28
flash What do you think it's flash to bang ta Bay
15:33
John C Dvorak: flash to bang slash No. Title flash flash?
15:38
Flash flash not slash nos flash flash to both flash to bat was
15:42
like a flash bang. It's like grenades. Yeah, Flash is taking
15:46
it and and parsing it, creating a new term called Flash
15:50
Adam Curry: to bang to bang. Yes, flash.
15:53
John C Dvorak: So it's like a flash bang. It flashes? Yes. And
15:57
that
15:57
Adam Curry: Ford bangs, and then it bangs Yes. Flash to bang.
16:01
It's like a flash in the pan, like all of a sudden could just
16:03
fire up. Someone gets rattled, if someone is acting
16:05
radicalized.
16:07
John C Dvorak: Back to them. Yeah, that flash in the pan has
16:09
other meanings. Catherine,
16:11
Unknown: you have this extraordinary job of covering
16:14
the President's own son. And his legal issues, Hunter Biden with
16:23
these indictments, three related to a firearm felony counts nine
16:28
related to tax issues. Where does this go?
16:33
Adam Curry: tax issue? That's cool. Related to tax issues. He
16:39
broke the law 20. Now,
16:41
John C Dvorak: if she's going to answer honestly, where where's
16:44
this gonna go? She should say if she's going to answer honestly,
16:48
I don't know if she does or not, because I don't have never heard
16:50
this clip. But I'm guessing she'll answer honestly and say,
16:52
well, it'll lead to a pardon. Where does
16:55
Unknown: this go? 2024 is going to be a year of incredible legal
17:00
exposure for the president son and these criminal prosecutions
17:03
are going to unfold at the same time. Harden is running for
17:06
reelection. In January, he will be arraigned in California Court
17:11
on the tax charges. And I would pay special attention to the
17:14
California case. I had two lawyers look at the 56 page
17:17
indictment. And they reached the same conclusion that it is a
17:21
shot across the bow by the Special Counsel. He identifies
17:24
Hunter Biden as a lawyer and a lobbyist and then goes into
17:29
considerable detail about his business transactions with
17:32
Ukraine, with China, Romania and others. And did they see this as
17:37
Romania
17:38
Adam Curry: was the western Romania
17:39
John C Dvorak: stuff? Oh, the Romania has always been in the
17:41
game in the in play. They get they always talk about his
17:45
Ukraine, China, and then they throw in Romania, even though
17:50
they've never given us any details on this Romania, angle
17:53
Romania
17:54
Unknown: on Merry Christmas, Romania, with China, Romania and
17:57
others. And they see this as an indicator is that the Special
18:01
Counsel at the very least is investigating potential
18:04
violations of foreign lobbying laws, maybe even a statement.
18:09
Adam Curry: All right now we're getting down to the nitty gritty
18:11
because you know, we have to we have to get this deal. We got to
18:14
get our Christmas message out there people. So we need to
18:17
start looking forward to 2020 Catherine.
18:19
Unknown: Well, mine's a little dark. I just feel a lot of
18:22
concern that 2024 may be the year of a black swan event. This
18:26
is a national security event of high impact. That's very hard to
18:30
predict. There are a number of concerns they have that factor
18:34
into that. And not only this sort of enduring heightened
18:37
threat level that enduring,
18:39
Adam Curry: enduring heightened threat level,
18:41
John C Dvorak: orange,
18:43
Unknown: orange MAN bad not only this sort of enduring,
18:46
heightened threat level that we're facing the wars in Israel,
18:50
also Ukraine. And we're so divided in this country in ways
18:55
that we haven't seen before. And I think that just creates
18:57
fertile ground for adversaries, North Korea, China, Iran, and
19:02
that's what that
19:03
Adam Curry: creates fertile ground, the North Koreans are
19:06
going to come in and so they're seed on our federal ground.
19:09
Maybe the Chinese, maybe the Romanians
19:12
Unknown: seen before North Korea just creates fertile ground for
19:16
our adversaries like North Korea, China and Iran. And
19:19
that's what concerns me most, a lot of people
19:22
John C Dvorak: does she get paid? Like go did she have a fee
19:25
schedule? So she gets the extra 500 bucks if she says North
19:29
Korea? Well, she
19:30
Adam Curry: blew it because she should have thrown Romania in
19:32
for a buck 50
19:35
Unknown: At night, would that concern Catherine, at least in
19:37
this town. All
19:38
Adam Curry: right. Now let's go to the longer predictions here.
19:40
This is this is going to wrap it all up this segment here on
19:43
Unknown: Face The Nation. We've covered a lot of tough stories
19:46
this year off so we asked.
19:48
Adam Curry: It was a hard year it was so hard for us. But let's
19:52
pat each other on the back because we did a good job,
19:54
everybody. It was hard. It was tough stories, but we did it.
19:57
We're CBS Mark
19:58
Unknown: Strassman to go back and recap some of the good news.
20:02
Adam Curry: Good news. The good news do you think this will be
20:06
puppies and pancakes and
20:08
John C Dvorak: gentlemen they're stealing our material here I
20:11
Adam Curry: don't not entirely
20:15
Unknown: ladies first women headlines all over in 2023

comes together and we're all dressed up and we all
20:26

20:28
but the beehive was generated billions for local economies,
20:33
mostly from women sharing their heroes.
20:36
Adam Curry: Now this is good news. Women heroes, women
20:38
cheering their heroes. Very good.
20:43
Unknown: I have never been more confident and proud to be in my
20:47
own skin because of her.
20:51
Not just a Hollywood hit a cultural conversation.
20:55
Barbie is like such a strong and empowered woman. She
20:58
John C Dvorak: has like 90 jobs good. She has like 90 jobs.
21:04
That's the clip of the year right there.
21:06
Unknown: cultural conversation.
21:08
Barbie is like such a strong and empowered woman. She has like 90
21:12
jobs Barbie
21:13
Adam Curry: is empowering. Yes, yes. With the legs that are five
21:17
times too long from any hole you normal woman with the boobs that
21:21
are bigger than firmer than any woman and look at that hair
21:24
Barbie.
21:25
Unknown: Good news. Speaking of jobs in 2023, America's rate of
21:29
working women between 25 and 54 hit a record high but I'm gonna
21:33
work and the overall economy, inflation's down, recession,
21:38
fears fading. And when
21:41
John C Dvorak: this actually went up, but they don't like to
21:43
report that bull crap.
21:45
Adam Curry: Inflation is coming down. Recession fears are
21:48
fading, nothing to see here. rack up the credit cards people
21:52
for
21:53
Unknown: hit a record high and the overall economy, inflation's
21:57
down, recession, fears fading, and we're seeing inflation
22:01
making real progress. These are the things we've been wanting to
22:03
see. Core inflation is down to 4%. Back in January, it was 5.6.
22:09
No jump. This
22:10
John C Dvorak: is cumulative people.
22:13
Adam Curry: Explain. Please explain. I'll pause the clip for
22:16
this Barbie Shut up your next.
22:19
John C Dvorak: Okay, so you have an inflation rate it goes it
22:21
went to eight. So it goes to eight and then it goes to five.
22:27
That doesn't mean inflation is going down. It means you're
22:29
paying the eight plus the five. And then when it goes from four
22:33
to three, it's still going up. In other words, it's cumulative.
22:36
So the inflation if it went, it went up 8%. And then it goes up
22:40
another 4%. It's going up another 4% and another 3%. It
22:45
goes up and up and up. It's not going it's not reversing it's
22:49
not going back to old prices.
22:51
Adam Curry: It's going parabolic man.
22:54
John C Dvorak: I mean it is slowing. There's no doubt about
22:56
that. But but it's the rate of increase that's slowing Yes,
23:00
it's still going up
23:02
Unknown: T core inflation is down to 4%. Back in January. It
23:06
was 5.6 No justice. No job when he 23 emboldened workers,
23:13
especially union worker remember this is the good news segment on
23:17

23:21

23:25
were finally realizing wait. We know our worth. Fans
23:29

23:33
jackpot. Oh Rudy Giuliani ordered to pay millions for lies
23:37

23:40
Adam Curry: when news news we got that guy.
23:45
Unknown: And George Santos, the prince
23:47
Adam Curry: of make believe we got that guy good news everybody
23:50
drummed
23:51
Unknown: out of Congress in entertainment. Michelle Yeoh
23:54
became the first Asian woman to win the Best Actress Oscar and a
23:59
salute to Admiral Lisa Frank Eddie. She's the first ever
24:02
female member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in sports. The
24:07
Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin played again in an NFL game 10
24:11
months after he nearly died from cardiac arrest on the football
24:15
field.
24:15
Adam Curry: Good news, everybody. The jab. Didn't get
24:18
that one
24:19
Unknown: to be able to still do. What I love at the highest level
24:22
in the world is amazing.
24:24
And Brittney Griner playing again in the WNBA. After
24:28
languishing for 10 months in Russian custody.
24:31
The love from the fans when it came out was amazing.
24:36
And finally, 2023 was a great year for 10 Americans released
24:40
last week from Venezuelan custody, and five Americans
24:43
released in September by Iran we got fat in our time for that
24:48
letter
24:48
Adam Curry: that's all in time for
24:50
John C Dvorak: the holiday never mentioned that we got fat lender
24:53
in that report. Did you notice no. Hey,
24:55
Adam Curry: I got a note about fat leonard. Yeah, I
24:57
John C Dvorak: saw it. So I read that real quick. Yeah. Go ahead.
25:00
Adam Curry: The title of the last show was a sign I needed to
25:02
donate oh he's gonna donate was a dude named Ben stationed on
25:06
the USS Blue Ridge for two years. My job was to help calm
25:09
Seventh Fleet officers learn how to computer. Captain David Haas
25:18
and Commander Michael Mickiewicz work in the department that
25:21
arranged schedules for all ships in the Seventh Fleet. They
25:24
seemed like nice enough guys, and there wasn't much to tell. I
25:28
got out December 2012. And shortly after this here, fat
25:31
leonard story shows up. Turns out these officers were among
25:34
the group that diverted ships to ports where old Lenny was able
25:38
to scam the US government government by overcharging for
25:41
services. If these officers had shared their money hotel rooms
25:45
or hookers with me, maybe I could have told them that all of
25:48
their computer activity was being watched and showed them
25:51
about this thing called encryption. Oh, those guys hit
25:59
the biggest scam in history and they're idiots to boot. The
26:02
idiots. Well,
26:04
John C Dvorak: if anyone thinks they're gonna get away with
26:06
anything, and it involves a computer, yeah, good luck. Good
26:09
luck with that. And good luck if you think you know how to stop
26:12
all the record keeping that's going on in the background. Good
26:15
luck. Good luck. You're not going to do it. Good luck. And
26:19
the reason for these giant hard disks by the way, big giant
26:22
double terabyte 10 terabyte you know 18 terabyte drives that are
26:26
150 bucks now is to keep your shit on. Keep your stuff is to
26:30
keep all the keep all the evidence against you. In a way
26:33
you don't. You never clean the disk. It's all there. So you're,
26:37
you're done.
26:37
Adam Curry: Did I see that? There's a two terabyte SD card
26:41
coming up.
26:43
John C Dvorak: That's wall. two terabyte I'm sure there's a two
26:46
terabyte Isbin two terabyte SD card.
26:49
Adam Curry: Really? Oh, I didn't know that. I mean, I've seen a
26:51
one thing
26:51
John C Dvorak: now there's getting getting to me is these
26:53
1814 to 18 terabyte drives for 150 bucks. Yeah. It's
27:00
ridiculous. That's great. Yeah, and it's great that way you
27:03
don't you never clicked with it. When I was a kid. There we go.
27:07
We had like a drive was a big deal was it was like 10
27:10
megabytes. So your net wasn't good for anything because you
27:14
had to keep cleaning the debt you had to you had to spend at
27:18
least one month out of the year clearing out everything and
27:22
erasing it because you couldn't keep it anywhere backing
27:25
yesterday who something and so you so everything was you were
27:28
kept yourself in your order. But now Now, no, no while we're on
27:32
was what's on your desk while we're at it.
27:37
Unknown: Don't see the vorak Bakelite chi today's Teddy K.
27:40
He's an OTG
27:42
Adam Curry: kind of got ya Bambi OTT kind of guy. But before we
27:47
go into that, you're really you're gonna you're gonna you're
27:50
gonna, I
27:51
John C Dvorak: want to push that off. You can play it again. But
27:53
I think I was very misled by the opening of today's show. Because
27:59
you said at the opening. Yeah, you have a Christmas like a
28:03
classic every year Christmas report, which isn't true. It
28:07
wasn't true. I didn't I have the reports.
28:10
Adam Curry: I didn't say that. I said, making a list of what it
28:13
was what I heard and checking it
28:15
John C Dvorak: twice. That's what I heard. Well,
28:18
Adam Curry: you heard so you're going to interrupt my OTG
28:21
segment, which I'm looking at the rundown says right here. It
28:25
says 27 minutes into the show start the OTG segment you have
28:30
it you got your call sheet. But now you're going to intro which
28:35
John C Dvorak: I thought was be Bullock. Well,
28:37
Adam Curry: I'll do it and be blocked then you're okay. You're
28:39
you're calling an audible.
28:41
John C Dvorak: I am because I think that would was the
28:44
classic.
28:46
Adam Curry: Is that is that a sports ball term? There we go.
28:50
Nailed it. Nailed it. Nailed it. Oh,
28:53
John C Dvorak: it's this is the NBC. This is what this is the
28:58
report that everyone has on Christmas. This is the NBC News.
29:03
NORAD, following santha report, brother.
29:09
Adam Curry: Where is it? I can't say it's under NBC. No, it's not
29:12
under MDC because I'm looking at your clips right now. Oh, there
29:14
it is. Yes, I gotcha. Finally
29:15
Unknown: tonight, Santa Claus is putting the final touches on his
29:18
flight plan for Sunday night. And once again, he'll be
29:21
counting and members of the US and Canadian militaries to make
29:25
sure he has a clear path as he departs the North Pole to the
29:29
Adam Curry: Canadians even celebrate Christmas.
29:33
John C Dvorak: The removal is more before Trudeau before
29:36
Trudeau America's
29:37
Unknown: front door and garden. This sprawling expanse from
29:40
adversaries is the job of the North American Aerospace Defense
29:45
Command or NORAD put not every object on your ads radar is an
29:50
intruder, especially when Santa takes flight on Christmas Eve, I
29:55
spoke to Lieutenant General Blaise Frawley to learn more
29:59
about the critical mission of tracking center blades I know
30:02
your main job is to protect the North American Aerospace against
30:06
intruding aircraft or bad guys.
30:09
Adam Curry: Yeah, they want to fly into like buildings in New
30:11
York. But how good was that? How do
30:13
Unknown: you use that technology to track center or
30:16
main job at NORAD is to defend North America with the
30:19
binational command US and Canada collectively, balloons we use
30:23
our systems to track we use our North warning system as well we
30:28
use worldwide to global satellites and finally our
30:31
fighter aircraft.
30:32
NORAD Santa tracking mission began in 1955 When a child
30:37
trying to reach sat up instead called an unlisted number for
30:40
the military's Continental Air Defense Command. The commander
30:44
on duty realizing what had happened, assured the child they
30:48
would guarantee Santa a safe journey this
30:51
Adam Curry: sounds like a bunch of bull crap. Is this the
30:56
genesis of this thing?
30:57
John C Dvorak: I've never heard the Genesis story before I've
30:59
Adam Curry: never heard this I thought it was ham radio guys
31:02
who track Santa and then I like
31:04
John C Dvorak: to know if these guys are so such hot shots. How
31:06
did they miss that air balloon that came floating over until it
31:10
got to Montana
31:11
Adam Curry: Military Industrial Complex weaponizing Santa, a
31:15
Unknown: promise NORAD has kept every year
31:22
throughout the years many different fighter aircraft have
31:24
intercepted Santa and will normally give him a wing waggle
31:27
is repealed
31:28
Adam Curry: if intercepted Santa what?
31:32
John C Dvorak: Wow. didn't shoot him down.
31:36
Unknown: Throughout the years, many different fighter aircraft
31:39
have intercepted Santa and will normally give him a wing waggle
31:42
as we peel off after we've intercepted him.
31:47
Thanks to that technology, technology, kids are able to
31:50
call in to your ad send a tracking hotline or log on via
31:55
social media for real time updates. Making sure Sandy is
32:00
indeed on his way. Everybody in your house?
32:10
Adam Curry: Wait a minute. Of course. I didn't see this. Where
32:12
are they taking calls from from kids at NORAD? Is that what I
32:15
was hearing?
32:16
John C Dvorak: But there's somebody's taking calls. Man.
32:20
And they have they have a website? Everything is pretty
32:24
interesting is advanced somewhat since the 50s.
32:27
Adam Curry: Yeah, because they they need to recruit children
32:30
now when they're six. Because they no one wants to work for
32:34
these jokes anymore.
32:37
John C Dvorak: Well, I guess that's the report I was
32:39
expecting from you.
32:40
Adam Curry: Yeah, you're right. I fell down on the job, man.
32:44
John C Dvorak: Now I want to go to the OTG. Which, by the way,
32:48
use the second half a show anyway. But I just I don't know.
32:53
I think you're getting a guilty conscience of reasons you're
32:55
bringing this OTG up. Because you know that I, as of January 1
33:01
will have been with actually, to be honest about it since the
33:06
next Christmas. I will have been without a cell phone in my
33:12
pocket, or anyplace else for that matter. I have not looked
33:15
at one for an entire year.
33:18
Adam Curry: Yeah, you're amazing.
33:20
John C Dvorak: I am amazing. I have not used and you know what?
33:23
It didn't make a damn bit of difference in my life. Well,
33:27
Adam Curry: no, that's right. You're just as lonely. No one
33:30
visits you don't know anybody
33:38
besides that, besides your winning
33:43
John C Dvorak: low Digi Ganic.
33:46
Adam Curry: I need to bring this up because of that previous that
33:49
previous note to two people notified me this morning. That
33:56
Prince Eric prince, the guy from GE Academy formula, Blackwater.
34:04
You know, he's rebranded three times to Blackwater guy. The
34:07
Blackwater Yeah,
34:07
John C Dvorak: we know him. He's
34:09
Adam Curry: coming out with a phone. And he's out there
34:14
shilling the phone? What a great
34:15
John C Dvorak: idea for him. The exit strategy for a guy like
34:20
that. Well,
34:20
Adam Curry: this is why I wanted to look at it. It's the
34:24
unplugged phone@unplugged.com Boy that must have paid a lot
34:26
for that domain name. That's a good one. unplugged.com Yeah,
34:31
they
34:31
John C Dvorak: pay for that
34:32
Adam Curry: someone say a lot. And
34:34
John C Dvorak: but I it's a million dollars. But
34:36
Adam Curry: you know, it's like they've got this source an
34:38
Android derivative, but I need the dude's name Ben to to weigh
34:43
in on this thing because of course I haven't. I haven't seen
34:46
they using the Liberty OS Liberte. Liberte lips, Laurie
34:50
liber toss is lib tard OS. Which, you know, it may be a
34:55
graphene OS type deal, I don't know but then they're they're
34:59
all So selling you and this is where it gets real sketchy for
35:02
me. Well,
35:04
John C Dvorak: I'm good before we continue with what you think
35:06
is sketchy, I think, because of his background in intelligence.
35:11
I'm very skeptical, of course,
35:13
Adam Curry: especially when he's selling you the up messenger. So
35:17
you use their special messenger app. I don't know what's wrong
35:20
with signal signal seems fine to me. And they're selling you a
35:25
VPN. Well, that's a big a big red red flag right there. Yeah,
35:29
let's use Erik Prince's VPN. What could go wrong with that?
35:35
Yeah. So I want the dudes named Ben to let me know what they
35:40
think of this.
35:42
John C Dvorak: But myself, because I am going to start
35:45
using your phone again next year. Why at least?
35:48
Adam Curry: Well, if you're lonely, you're lonely. I know
35:50
it.
35:51
John C Dvorak: I need to call those girls on the 800 line.
35:55
When there's a dated reference,
35:57
Adam Curry: it's 900 900. Line.
36:00
Unknown: Line. I don't know. Well,
36:01
Adam Curry: hold on. I have a clip for you
36:05
Unknown: get a recent Surgeon General advisory found that
36:08
lacking social connection can actually increase your risk of
36:11
death by 60%. paid attention now. Yeah. All right. Racist the
36:17
chances of dementia stroke and heart disease and it can be the
36:20
equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
36:24
John C Dvorak: So Oreos are bad is cocaine. You
36:27
Unknown: don't have a call this one of the defining issues of
36:29
our time. And usually when a Surgeon General declares
36:32
something an epidemic, we're talking about
36:35
Adam Curry: you, John, you
36:38
John C Dvorak: that fruity Surgeon General, we're dealing
36:40
with? Yes.
36:42
Adam Curry: Hey, who you call him? Fruity Adamic.
36:45
Unknown: We're talking about AIDS, for example, or cigarettes
36:49
like AIDS. That is how severe you believe this is for people.
36:54
Adam Curry: And what could they be talking about?
36:56
John C Dvorak: This is this is you giving me grief, and
37:01
listening to this. This is all part of a giant scheme to make
37:04
sure everyone's hooked onto one of these stupid phones. So they
37:08
had so they have field dependent constantly. This is creating a
37:11
giant world of dependent people that they can control with the
37:15
One World Government Jhansi
37:16
Adam Curry: Dvorak on fire today.
37:19
John C Dvorak: I had a double, I had to double, double,
37:23
especially when I go to this espresso machine. And I look at
37:27
and I say, Well, do I want to be just regular on the show and you
37:31
have a good time. Now today I'm going for the double head
37:34
because I know it always brings the best out in me. Well, I
37:36
Unknown: think one of the things that's really important to
37:38
recognize is we didn't get here overnight. COVID certainly
37:40
contributed to this loneliness crisis. But it was a problem
37:44
long before as a result of lesser participation in the
37:47
commuter organizations that used to bring us together rec
37:49
leagues, churches, synagogues, etc. But also the impact of
37:53
technology and social media has not always been positive, it's
37:56
often diluted, the quality of people's relationships, taking
37:59
them from in person interactions to online interactions. This is
38:03
about quality of friendships, quality of interactions, not
38:06
quantity. I know the age of social media has convinced us
38:09
that we need 1000s of followers and 1000s of friends. We do not
38:13
it's we just need a few people in our life, who see us for who
38:17
we are with whom we can be ourselves and who can show up
38:20
for us in a crisis and hopefully we can do the same for them.
38:24
Such an important message around the holidays.
38:27
Adam Curry: You know, we'll go fry this is this is why I always
38:32
say connection is protection the no agenda meetups.
38:37
John C Dvorak: Yeah, well, that's a good early plug for the
38:39
meetups. This show this show is
38:41
Adam Curry: the antidote to this. HIV can't cigarette cancer
38:47
they were talking about called loneliness.
38:51
John C Dvorak: But I think we call it the loneliness trend.
38:53
Yeah. Oh, no news.
38:54
Adam Curry: There's something there six months up. It's an
38:57
obvious sign up.
38:58
John C Dvorak: But what's what's the app designed to do? I mean,
39:01
what's the purpose of the op? Make people depressed? I
39:05
Adam Curry: mean, you feel like crap. Yep. that would that would
39:07
be one. That'd be one. Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of ops
39:11
playing out right now. In fact,
39:12
John C Dvorak: there's too many and they're some of them are
39:13
bumping into each other.
39:15
Adam Curry: The Taylor Swift up was ratchet. This was getting on
39:19
John C Dvorak: my nerves. Not you brought that clip up. We've
39:21
Unknown: talked a lot about how the Taylor Swift effect has
39:24
changed in the NFL. So if you were to look at the video of
39:26
Taylor Swift watching now her Kansas City Chiefs it's very
39:30
transient a spell has radicalized Taylor Swift ah,
39:34
Adam Curry: the NFL has radicalized Taylor Swift. She
39:37
was
39:37
Unknown: cursing she was yelling she was furious, as furious as
39:41
Patrick mahomes was spiking his helmet on the ground after he
39:44
threw two picks in this game. It was a home game for Taylor
39:48
Swift.
39:50
Adam Curry: I you know, I have to say that something is wrong
39:55
with Taylor Swift because her image is not her. You Using the
40:00
F word so everybody can see it. And she's very she's hyper aware
40:05
of being on camera. Totally. So she knows that she's doing this
40:09
that there was something about that. That was very, very wrong.
40:13
They broke my heart.
40:16
John C Dvorak: I liked the crack in your voice good. Broke. My
40:19
heart is good. It's very good. Yeah.
40:20
Adam Curry: There's another part of that loneliness up. Is Have
40:23
you been falling this beeper? I message thing? No. So I don't
40:29
think I have a clip of it. You would know this. But there thank
40:36
you. Yeah, you wouldn't know this. But there's a social
40:38
issue. And I even get crap for it from from my adult. You know,
40:46
AARP friends. You're the green bubble in our chat group. You're
40:52
ruining the You're ruining the chat group. But yes, I know, I
40:56
didn't, I thought you would know. Um, so there's a
41:00
difference between iPhones. When you're when you're text
41:04
messaging with an iPhone, you're no longer going through the SMS
41:07
Short Message Service system, you're going through iMessage,
41:12
right. And we know that with iMessage, you can mail you can
41:15
delete stuff, you can edit stuff, you can add stuff, you
41:19
can name your group. But if you add one person into the group
41:24
who has a phone that is on the SMS system, ie Adam with
41:29
graphene OS that ruins all the features, then a breaks then
41:35
then it because and you will show up as a green bubble, where
41:39
everyone else is a blue bubble. And it's so bad that you know,
41:43
there are people who we've talked about this. People will
41:46
not date someone who has a green bubble. If you've got an Android
41:49
phone, you're Undateable. But this was years ago, we
41:52
John C Dvorak: talked about Well, it's been it's only me it
41:54
was like I wish I would guess 10 years ago, when we had somebody
42:00
somebody sent us an email saying that they wouldn't think anyone.
42:04
I
42:04
Adam Curry: think it was a buzzkill Junior actually who
42:06
filled us in on this. It could have been Yeah, I think so. But
42:09
it
42:09
John C Dvorak: was like if you're at the bar, and you pull
42:12
out anything but an iPhone, you're a loser. So the girls
42:17
wouldn't date these people. But I thought that went by the
42:20
wayside with the foldables. No other phones that are far
42:24
superior in my head to the iPhone.
42:27
Adam Curry: Now this of course, this could be iPhone. Public
42:31
Relations, again, topic handle is possible. Yeah. So this guy
42:35
came up with an app, then he reverse engineered the iMessage
42:39
protocol. And he released this app, and Apple, of course lost
42:44
their crap because there goes there the whole reason for
42:46
getting an iPhone. So I actually think that this is Apple
42:50
propaganda. And now the FTC was looking into this guy, you know,
42:56
oh, the
42:57
John C Dvorak: FTC should be looking into Apple. Of course.
43:00
Well, the
43:01
Adam Curry: EU has now forced Apple's hand and they in the EU
43:06
in 2024. And I think it'll be worldwide. They're going to
43:10
adhere to the RCS standard, rich communication services, I think.
43:15
So I think they'll let me know the let the Android people, I
43:19
think you'll they'll still give you a green bubble. If I were
43:22
Apple, that's what I do. If I were the horrible people at
43:25
Apple, or I would give you the function I
43:28
John C Dvorak: would too. That's exactly the right strategy. Use
43:31
the new standard, but you'd have some other they'll get a green
43:33
thing running underneath that would let you know it was coming
43:38
Adam Curry: from a loser or a loser loser green
43:41
John C Dvorak: bubble. Yeah, that's what I would do exactly
43:43
what I would do. So
43:45
Adam Curry: you know, people, if this is important in your life,
43:49
then if they're in I have given my friends grief about this,
43:52
you're horrible person when you say that. Now, my pastor, he's
43:56
like, we're in a group message with him like you're a horrible
43:58
person, Pastor. You should. He shouldn't be complaining about
44:02
my green bubble. This is really bad. This
44:06
John C Dvorak: This sounds terrible. This also is your Oh,
44:09
I can now see the triggering mechanism.
44:11
Adam Curry: What's the triggering mechanism
44:13
John C Dvorak: that your pastor is like, rebuked you,
44:16
Adam Curry: when he threw in a quick Smiley? Wink emoji. So
44:21
John C Dvorak: that's everybody.
44:21
Adam Curry: I know. We're all okay.
44:26
John C Dvorak: Yeah, sure. But this
44:27
Adam Curry: is this is seriously, if your pastor listen
44:31
to this show. Oh, absolutely. I doubt it. Oh, absolutely loves
44:35
the show. Yes, he loves it. This is where we
44:41
John C Dvorak: send you an email saying quantum five, which will
44:44
be the code word I just gave a quantum five. Okay. Don't repeat
44:49
it. I won't make sure that he Okay. Here's
44:52
Adam Curry: how here's how I connected with the pastor. When
44:55
he was over at our house for the first time when Phoebe bit his
44:58
wife would that was cool. This is before we sent her away to
45:02
the bootcamp. Yeah.
45:04
John C Dvorak: Did you say bit? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
45:07
Adam Curry: Yeah. That's my Phoebe went away for three
45:10
weeks. So we didn't really know them. And so like, oh, the
45:15
pastor's wife coming over for dinner. And then we're sitting
45:18
there and I said, Hey, you know, what I wanted to say is I really
45:21
loved your service this morning. What came out was I really loved
45:24
your show. And he cracked up. And then we realized that we
45:28
actually both are doing shows. And there's a lot of
45:32
similarities between them. Pastor John, ah, just saying.
45:40
John C Dvorak: Yeah, well, I don't want to be blasphemous. Be
45:43
sure we're doing a podcast and that's
45:47
Unknown: let's be blasphemous for a moment. Then the European
45:50
Union is squaring up to porn sites seeing some companies have
45:53
to follow the strictest level of the EU's new digital rulebook.
45:57
That means they'll have to beef up measures aimed at policing
45:59
illegal content, and protecting minors. It won't be welcome news
46:03
for platforms like Pornhub. It says it doesn't have enough
46:06
users to deserve that level of scrutiny. The newly listed
46:09
platforms will follow Elon Musk's ex, which Brussels
46:12
suspects isn't doing enough to clamp down on disinformation.
46:15
After all, if tech firms are found to be in breach of the EU
46:18
rules, they could face fines of up to 6% of revenue, or be
46:21
banned from the block for repeat offenses. Brussels is just
46:25
getting started with enforcement. So we've yet to see
46:27
just how tough the laws are in practice, or what they mean for
46:30
businesses. The European Union says platforms can run from the
46:33
new rules that they can't hide. The
46:36
Adam Curry: EU is lost man. Lost. They have no free speech
46:42
is gone. It's gone. It's gone. I
46:45
John C Dvorak: do where they happen to they just kind of put
46:48
up with it. You have always been the pushovers. I mean that's why
46:53
there's all those wars that break out every you know so
46:55
often. One German country beaten up the other one and then all
46:59
hell breaks loose in the real world war. And it spreads all
47:04
over the place. Those guys are horrible. They're hopeless, the
47:08
worst
47:08
Adam Curry: they don't even realize what's going on. They
47:11
don't they don't even know about the digital services act. They
47:14
don't even know what's going on with them. That's the thing.
47:18
Besides what what we what we can't say that what we have to
47:21
register for porn, but taking a picture of my face. What? When
47:27
did that happen? Because you know, Brussels is people think
47:30
well, of course. The UK is is is different. UK has its own
47:35
issues.
47:36
John C Dvorak: But yeah, they're still they're still part of it.
47:39
There's, you know, they only broke away and kind of a fake
47:45
way. I think the whole range
47:46
Adam Curry: wait until Nigel Farage comes back. He's kind of
47:50
John C Dvorak: I know he's making a meal. But he is. He's
47:54
fronting for someone else. Who knows who? I have a I have a
47:58
three by three. Oh,
47:59
Adam Curry: no, no, no, it's time for a three by three.
48:03
Experiment by JC de Behrens go read from ABC. John's got three
48:13
stories from three networks. Let's see what the script is
48:16
today. Are they all the same today? Are they collusion? Did
48:18
they get the talking points from the White House or so from the
48:20
intelligence agencies? It is your three by three?
48:24
John C Dvorak: Well, I have to say that. Thank you for the
48:27
intro. You're welcome. I have to say that. Our producer Jones
48:32
that finds the Save the clip. Clip collector? Yes. Steve, our
48:38
buddy. Yeah. It's like,
48:42
Adam Curry: do you know that he's,
48:43
John C Dvorak: I'm kind of surprised. Yes. I'm surprised
48:46
that I stopped doing this myself. Because it's more
48:50
apparent than ever. That it's like the same newsroom. These
48:55
stories are structured the same this two three networks that are
48:59
supposed to be in competition with each other. And the three
49:02
networks put together the exact and this is goes on and on. Not
49:06
just one story me. He sent these sends different samples of
49:10
different examples.
49:11
Adam Curry: Hold on. Hold on a second. No wonder I'm getting
49:16
fewer clips from him. It's like he's like, Oh, this is so much
49:20
easier to do the three by three for John. Like that. Just drop
49:24
on that stuff. I just needle drop it. Boom, there it is.
49:27
Boom, there it is. Boom, there it is.
49:29
John C Dvorak: I will I don't well. Yeah, I think it's I think
49:33
it's true. I think he I think he himself is stunned by the
49:39
stupidity of these these three networks, these major networks
49:43
worldwide, International. These networks are playing us. Exactly
49:49
the same story. So somebody else is doing the stories. They're
49:54
not doing it. Let's start with. This is about the SCOTUS denial
49:58
of the trump of One of the trials Yeah.
50:02
Adam Curry: Data Files, fast tracking of the trial fast
50:05
John C Dvorak: tracking Exactly. Let's start with NBC. Tonight
50:08
Unknown: the US Supreme Court handing Donald Trump the
50:11
practical victory he wanted punting for now on a legal issue
50:15
that could make or break the federal case that accuses him of
50:19
plotting to overturn the last election. The High Court
50:23
declining the special counsels request to answer right now
50:26
whether Mr. Trump is immune from prosecution, a lower court
50:30
concluding the presidency doesn't confer a lifelong Get
50:34
Out of Jail Free pass a decision Mr. Trump had appealed, arguing
50:38
complete immunity for anything that happened while he was in
50:41
office. That led prosecutors to ask the Supreme Court to step in
50:46
and quickly resolve the issue. Now, today's decision all but
50:49
guaranteeing the existing trial date set for March will flip all
50:54
this as the prosecution's hand is strengthened on a different
50:57
front. The Detroit News reporting it reviewed audio
51:01
recordings of Mr. Trump pressing to local Republican officials
51:05
not to certify the 2020 election results in Wayne County,
51:09
Michigan, telling them we can't let these people take our
51:12
country away from us.
51:14
Army for my service. asked me how I was doing
51:18
NBC News has not heard or verified the audio. The Trump
51:22
campaign maintains the former President was focused on
51:25
election integrity. The call itself only described benignly
51:29
by one of those local officials at the time. Are you saying the
51:33
President's call had no influence at you recant
51:35
that you're? Absolutely. Wow.
51:38
Adam Curry: So there's no story. They have no evidence, no call?
51:43
No one's saying it's an outrage. They got nothing.
51:48
John C Dvorak: No, they do have the same quote everyone uses
51:51
which is Trump. Trump said that we had to take back our country.
51:55
You're going to hear that was NBC. You're going to hear ABC
52:01
and this is going to be I would say you think it was the same
52:05
exact report. They have the same cut away to this bullcrap
52:09
recording. Everything's in the same order. This is unbelievable
52:15
to me.
52:16
Unknown: Tonight, a legal victory for former President
52:18
Donald Trump in a one sentence order. The US Supreme Court says
52:21
it will stay out of the Federal Election interference case
52:24
against him until a lower court decides whether he's immune from
52:28
prosecution for crimes he allegedly committed while he was
52:30
in office. Special Counsel Jack Smith had asked the justices to
52:34
move fast and bypass a federal appeals court. Today's decision
52:37
almost certainly means Trump's trial currently scheduled to
52:40
begin March fourth will be delayed. Trump faces conspiracy
52:43
and obstruction charges for plotting to overturn the 2020
52:46
election. Special Counsel said Trump used deceit towards state
52:50
officials to subvert the legitimate election results. And
52:53
tonight a new report claiming to show how deeply engaged Trump
52:57
was in efforts to cling to power. The Detroit News reports
53:00
are viewed a recording of Trump on the phone with two
53:03
Republicans on the Wayne County Board of canvassers pressuring
53:06
them not to certify Joe Biden's victory in Michigan. The paper
53:10
says Trump told the two canvassers Monica Palmer and
53:13
William Hartmann, they'd look terrible if they sign the
53:15
certification and press Trump telling them we can't let these
53:19
people take our country away from us. Republican Chairwoman
53:22
Ronna McDaniel, who was on the same call reportedly said Do not
53:25
sign it. We will get you attorneys Trump padding will
53:28
take care of that. ABC News has not independently confirmed the
53:31
report. neither Trump nor McDaniel disputed the papers
53:34
characterization of the call Palmer did not respond to our
53:37
request for comment. Hartman died in 2021. The pressure
53:41
campaign did not work the canvassers ultimately certified
53:44
the election for Biden. Trump's spokesman says the former
53:47
President's actions were taken in furtherance of his duty as
53:49
President to ensure election integrity. McDaniel said the
53:53
call reflects her belief there was ample evidence that
53:56
warranted an audit. The call fits a pattern of Trump's strong
53:59
arming state officials to change the 2020 election results like
54:03
his call to Georgia's Secretary of State
54:05
Adam Curry: I love that pressure strong arming I mean, what do
54:09
you say I'm going to shoot you I'm going to arrest you What is
54:13
this bad as mafia mafia practices man writes Hitler
54:17
Hitler
54:17
John C Dvorak: did you'll notice the destructure that story is
54:20
identical exactly the same? Exactly the same and how does
54:24
that happen? I
54:25
Adam Curry: would like to same length John, these clips are
54:27
almost all of this fact is
54:31
John C Dvorak: the same link I have just tell Jonesy oh hey, we
54:36
can't go over two minutes. So
54:38
Adam Curry: these geysers the Joneses clip collective voice
54:42
clip Custodio. They have a they have a discord they share
54:46
together so they don't overlap clips. They're managing us.
54:52
John C Dvorak: Privates were for some agency for pool boy. So
54:57
yeah, brother Joe. So the point is, is that this is ridiculous
55:03
these these reports, and they have the same structure almost.
55:07
I mean, it's just it's like how do you how does that happen on
55:10
two independent newsrooms? It can't happen unless you're being
55:13
guided by above. Now, I will mention that when this first
55:17
came up, probably a month ago that there were that this Joker
55:21
was going to send us to the Supreme Court directly. I said,
55:26
on this show, that this, they're not going to accept this because
55:29
the Supreme Court, in this case, definitely wants it to go
55:33
through some lower systems. It has to be, you just can't go
55:37
from zero to the Supreme Court. I can't take my parking ticket
55:41
to the Supreme Court, because I want to. So this was a foregone
55:46
conclusion, nobody mentions that they don't. Nobody in any of
55:51
these three reports even discusses the mechanism here, or
55:55
reads the one terse line saying send it back. They all tell you
56:00
about the Supreme Court in one sentence, send it back, but they
56:02
never read us the sentence. Here we go. Now we go to CBS with
56:06
Robert Costa. And it's going to be a little different they, they
56:11
change it up a bit, but they don't change it up. In this
56:14
case, they don't change it up enough and they don't bring in
56:18
anything new today's Supreme
56:20
Unknown: Court order could delay the march 2024 Start of Trump's
56:24
trial on charges of interfering in the 2020 presidential
56:28
election. The immunity issue will be heard by an appeals
56:32
court in the second week of January, and now a potentially
56:36
stunning development. The Detroit News reports it has
56:40
heard a recording of a November 17 2020 phone call where Trump
56:45
pressures to Wayne County officials who heard the
56:49
recording of a November's backing up
56:52
John C Dvorak: Detroit News Oh Detroit News newspaper guy
56:55
supposedly heard her recording now it's now I have to say the
56:58
CBS is the only one who read who refuses to say we can't verify
57:05
the other two networks say we can't verify this recording or
57:08
that it even exists. CBS just passes it through as though it
57:12
exists for sure.
57:13
Adam Curry: Or we could actually say without evidence. Without
57:17
without evidence CBS reported without evidence development.
57:21
Unknown: Detroit News reports. It has heard a recording of a
57:24
November 17 2020 phone call where Trump pressures to Wayne
57:29
County officials, Monica Palmer and William Hartman to not
57:33
certify the 2020 election. The paper also says Republican
57:37
National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was on the call.
57:41
If you go home tonight do not sign it. The paper reports
57:44
McDaniel told the officials we will get you attorneys Trump
57:48
told them to fight said it would be terrible if they certified. I
57:53
must not.
57:55
John C Dvorak: Now, if you had to pull it back a little bit. I
57:58
have to say they haven't listened to this for the
58:00
umpteenth time. I would say this was new information because what
58:04
he said was that it was McDaniel, Ronna McDaniels, who's
58:09
the one who pressured them to not sign not not Trump. Exactly.
58:14
Now this wasn't this was okay. But this is interesting. So I
58:18
can continue sorry
58:19
Unknown: go home tonight. Do not sign it. The paper reports
58:22
McDaniel told the officials we will get you attorneys Trump
58:26
told them to fight said it would be terrible if they certified
58:30
and said they must not let these people take our country away
58:34
from us. The call was detailed in the house. Yeah, yeah,
58:38
absolutely. But yeah, fide and said they must not let these
58:42
people take our country away from us. The call was detailed
58:46
in the House Select committees January 6 report, but the
58:50
existence of audio was not previously known. In the report,
58:54
Palmer told investigators she could not recall what exactly
58:57
Trump said or if he raised election issues. Palmer has said
59:01
she was trying to protect the vote
59:03
make sure every vote is counted whether it's a Republican or
59:06
Democrat,
59:07
a Trump spokesman said Trump's actions were within his duty as
59:10
president and an attempt to ensure election integrity. In a
59:14
statement McDaniel said that at the time there was ample
59:17
evidence that warranted an audit. Special Counsel Jack
59:20
Smith has been investigating how Trump worked to throw President
59:23
Biden's victory into doubt and spark chaos during the
59:26
congressional certification often by leaning on Republicans
59:30
in key states to declare trump the victor Smith's office
59:34
declined to comment
59:36
Adam Curry: week. He declined to comment. Okay. Yeah, exactly the
59:42
same report this. I mean, this is really the reporting on the
59:47
what the Detroit Herald what was it to Detroit News, Detroit
59:52
News, so they're commenting on something they read online. Oh,
59:56
I see a tweet from No no, they
59:58
John C Dvorak: all say all the reports say that they heard the
1:00:00
tape. The news somehow I don't know what the news they never
1:00:06
say. It's not the home of operation, obviously. But they
1:00:09
said they heard a tape. That's the breaking news that this tape
1:00:14
exists.
1:00:16
Adam Curry: Oh, that's like the P tape and all the other tapes
1:00:18
out of
1:00:18
John C Dvorak: trouble. Yeah. And if it's such a Why didn't
1:00:21
Why does Detroit News post the tape? Yeah, exactly. How hard
1:00:26
can that be? They have a website. They could post the
1:00:29
tape well heard this is what they heard.
1:00:32
Adam Curry: Yeah. This someone just played over the phone. This
1:00:34
is bullcrap. Yeah. Well, in this vein, with former President
1:00:44
Trump being taken off the Colorado ballot, I see yes, I
1:00:47
think it's time to to go to our friends.
1:00:52
John C Dvorak: You take him off the ballot to protect a
1:00:54
democracy
1:00:57
Unknown: elitist voices of America. This is NPR
1:01:02
Adam Curry: or PBS. It's actually NPR and it is clearly
1:01:06
the B team. The B team is loose, because everyone's off for
1:01:09
Christmas holiday. So we can just go crazy and we can just
1:01:12
say whatever we want.
1:01:13
Unknown: violent rhetoric is raging in some corners of the
1:01:16
internet, right?
1:01:17
Adam Curry: I mean, come on. When you start a report with
1:01:19
violent rhetoric is raging. I mean, that's good stuff. That
1:01:24
script writing.
1:01:26
John C Dvorak: The news would be no violent rhetoric was raging
1:01:30
on parts of the internet. That would be actual news.
1:01:33
Adam Curry: It's Chad GPT. Writing their scripts,
1:01:35
Unknown: violent rhetoric is raging in some corners of the
1:01:38
internet after this week's some corners
1:01:40
Adam Curry: of the internet. Okay, so what is a corner of the
1:01:43
internet that just to be nitpicky about it? What is that
1:01:46
there
1:01:46
John C Dvorak: is no such thing as a corner of the internet.
1:01:49
Adam Curry: Well, in some corners, there's not just a
1:01:52
corner there's some corners. Not a
1:01:55
John C Dvorak: corners, maybe multiple corners. Well, that can
1:01:58
only be four. How many? sneakily? Yeah, you can only
1:02:01
have no you can have what about your head a hexagon or
1:02:03
Adam Curry: ruler? Okay. Then you got multiple corners. You
1:02:06
got wedges
1:02:07
Unknown: violent rhetoric is raging in some corners of the
1:02:09
internet after this week's historic ruling from the
1:02:11
Colorado Supreme Court after judges barred Donald Trump from
1:02:15
the state's primary ballot. Some supporters of the former
1:02:17
president are fuming over the decision
1:02:24
Adam Curry: fuming
1:02:25
Unknown: rulemaking and have begun circulating personal
1:02:28
information about Colorado Supreme Court justices who ruled
1:02:32
against Trump. Some are even calling for civil war. Ah,
1:02:36
Adam Curry: there it is. Some are calling for Civil War
1:02:41
John C Dvorak: by over color right. Anything going on in
1:02:43
Colorado? Really? Let me let me guess
1:02:45
Adam Curry: this has to be far right is the far right how far
1:02:50
far
1:02:51
Unknown: who ruled against Trump? Some are even calling for
1:02:54
Civil War NPR domestic extremism correspondent whoa, hold
1:02:59
Adam Curry: on. A second. NPR NPR domestic extremism
1:03:06
correspondent.
1:03:08
John C Dvorak: So how much domestic extremism is this
1:03:11
person covering
1:03:12
Adam Curry: enough to have a title enough to get paid to do
1:03:15
this
1:03:16
John C Dvorak: great business card
1:03:17
Adam Curry: I have. What do you do? I'm a domestic extremism
1:03:20
correspondent for NPR your national treasure. Wow. Nice to
1:03:24
meet you. Wait until you hear this jabroni are
1:03:27
Unknown: even calling for civil war. NPR domestic extremism
1:03:31
correspondent Odette Youssef is here to tell us more I owe debt.
1:03:34
Yousef, I was reading some of this debt. And I don't know I've
1:03:37
seen all this before. And then I thought to myself, That's not
1:03:40
good.
1:03:40
Adam Curry: That's not good. Because, you know, because I'm
1:03:44
going to editorialize everything because no one's listening.
1:03:47
Unknown: Yeah, I mean, a on some of these forums, this kind of
1:03:51
talking.
1:03:51
Adam Curry: Right, hold on far right platforms.
1:03:56
John C Dvorak: That would be Fox.
1:03:58
Adam Curry: I'm thinking X, Rumble
1:04:01
John C Dvorak: X, X and rumble rumble Bridey. On Yeah. And bit
1:04:06
shoot, which you? Yeah,
1:04:08
Unknown: I mean, a on some of these far right platforms. This
1:04:11
kind of talk is everyday stuff.
1:04:14
Adam Curry: Listen to the editorializing. It's everyday
1:04:17
stuff. It's my job on the on the far right corner platform, a
1:04:22
domestic terrorist extremist correspondent, it's everyday
1:04:27
stuff. My job. Oh, so hard.
1:04:30
Unknown: Yeah. I mean, a on some of these far right platforms.
1:04:33
This kind of talk is everyday stuff. But when there are events
1:04:37
that affect Trump adversely, whether it's an indictment or
1:04:41
say the search of his property at Mar a Lago, it spikes and so
1:04:46
this time, you know, we're seeing claims online that this
1:04:48
is a Democratic Party conspiracy to interfere in the election.
1:04:52
We're seeing calls to arm up or to hurt or even killed perceived
1:04:56
political foes. barma armor up. You know, so far people
1:05:01
monitoring these spaces say they're not seeing indications
1:05:04
of a credible or imminent threat. Hold on, listen,
1:05:07
John C Dvorak: what's the story?
1:05:09
Adam Curry: Arm up civil war, but so far people monitoring
1:05:13
these spaces. Isn't that your job correspondent? I know this
1:05:17
is confusing,
1:05:18
Unknown: but they also caution that this doesn't mean it should
1:05:19
be ignored.
1:05:20
So yeah, authorities still want to be watchful then. Oh, yeah,
1:05:23
of course.
1:05:23
I mean, you may recall that after the MAR a Lago search, for
1:05:27
example, online rhetoric heated up, and there was an individual
1:05:31
who attacked an FBI field office in Cincinnati. So it is
1:05:35
important to understand how the baseline threat level is
1:05:38
evolving.
1:05:39
John C Dvorak: Was that guy a left winger? Listen, no
1:05:42
connection between the field office in Cincinnati? What's
1:05:45
that got to do with anything in Florida? I don't think like at
1:05:48
some place, some screwball. No, I
1:05:50
Adam Curry: don't remember even that store. I
1:05:52
John C Dvorak: do remember some somebody did you threw a brick
1:05:55
through the window or something like that? Well,
1:05:59
Adam Curry: there's a second part to this. It just gets
1:06:01
better.
1:06:02
Unknown: You know, one person I spoke to who's been keeping an
1:06:04
eye on this online activity is Daniel J. Jones. He's with the
1:06:08
nonpartisan nonprofit advanced democracy.
1:06:12
John C Dvorak: Yeah, right. Hold it. Run organization have ever
1:06:16
heard had Vance.
1:06:17
Adam Curry: Let's just take a look at advanced democracy.
1:06:20
Let's just do this in real. Advanced democracy Inc is an
1:06:27
independent, nonpartisan non for profit organization that
1:06:30
conducts public policy in my search. And let's just take a
1:06:33
look. Let's see, what do they have? They don't where's that?
1:06:35
Where's their about? Where's their boots page? They don't
1:06:39
even have an A boots? Of
1:06:41
John C Dvorak: course not. Please wait, hold on. Is there a
1:06:43
boot is act blue.
1:06:44
Adam Curry: That's what I'm thinking. Now. I've gone to the
1:06:47
dashboard. For advanced democracy. Let's see tracking
1:06:51
political donations in the complex, complex Us campaign
1:06:55
finance system. That's what they do. Search by DOE, ma'am. So
1:07:01
they basically just open opensecrets.org They just take
1:07:04
from their stuff.
1:07:06
John C Dvorak: This is this is a lame looking website. This
1:07:10
Adam Curry: is weak. This is weak. So but I mean,
1:07:13
John C Dvorak: how is the source? Yeah,
1:07:17
Adam Curry: I don't understand what they do. climat. And
1:07:19
John C Dvorak: Clint looks like a fake web. It these guys don't
1:07:21
even look real. They have
1:07:24
Adam Curry: Climate and Environment Program, government
1:07:26
accountability, corruption program. Global Oh, global
1:07:30
extremism program. We weren't let's be it oh, here it is. We
1:07:33
work to identify and document the growth, reach and influence
1:07:36
of violent extremist groups, as well as political rhetoric in
1:07:41
the United States and Europe targeting communities of color
1:07:44
immigrants, the LGBTQ population, and religious
1:07:48
minorities desmi that has contributed to protecting me
1:07:52
that has contributed to a surge in global hate crimes. Hold on,
1:07:56
hold on a second advanced now. We've got to do this homeless
1:07:59
second. If they are nonprofit, then they have advanced
1:08:03
democracy than they have. And that was a sea advance.
1:08:08
Democracy. Okay. Let's see. Then they have a Oh, where are they?
1:08:14
It's funny. Advanced democracy, Inc. Okay. They, yeah, they got
1:08:19
to $2.3 million in 2022. So I'll have to look at their 990 see
1:08:28
what they're up to. They have four point a $5 million in
1:08:31
assets. Let me tell you, that's more than this show. Yep. So
1:08:35
anyway, let's continue.
1:08:36
Unknown: He says he's not just watching the uptick in violent
1:08:38
language. I think it's
1:08:40
really concerning that we're not seeing pushback against this
1:08:43
language. We're not seeing pushback against dehumanizing
1:08:45
language from the presumptive Republican nominee. We're not
1:08:49
seeing pushback from language from political leaders on the
1:08:52
right. What do
1:08:53
Adam Curry: you mean, we're not seeing pushback? The mainstream
1:08:55
media Going Ape ape crap over this? Well, we said vermin all
1:09:00
he he quoted Hitler all he's parroting Putin. What do you
1:09:05
mean, we're not seeing pushback? What are you talking about?
1:09:09
John C Dvorak: Dude, I heard I was listening to somebody on one
1:09:11
of these networks. And she actually said that was a quote
1:09:14
and which we debunked already and didn't get the clip. But she
1:09:18
says it was a quote from mine come
1:09:20
Adam Curry: Yes. We looked at mine comp, we got our own
1:09:23
personal copy, you
1:09:24
John C Dvorak: can get on a PDF.
1:09:27
Adam Curry: I have it in the bookshelf right next to it. You
1:09:29
John C Dvorak: can search the PDF faster right next to the
1:09:31
manifesto
1:09:32
Adam Curry: from the Unabomber. Come on, people you gotta read
1:09:34
all that stuff.
1:09:34
Unknown: We're seeing the mainstreaming of this extremism
1:09:37
and this this encouragement of violence and right wing media.
1:09:40
And
1:09:40
I, you know, hear this across the board when I speak to
1:09:43
extremism researchers, you know, our job. Our job is violence
1:09:48
from the right, and they
1:09:49
John C Dvorak: stop it again. You know, this idea that there's
1:09:52
getting no pushback is, is really getting on my nerves
1:09:56
because all you get is pushback. Trump says did my Ain't no minor
1:10:01
thing and I'm in an ad libbing a speech in Iowa, and they jump
1:10:06
all over him. These people are either living in an unbelievably
1:10:10
what they mean by no pushback. They mean that the entire
1:10:13
country doesn't rebuke Trump and his numbers go to zero. Yes,
1:10:17
Adam Curry: correct. Correct. Oh, sec. Let me look at this.
1:10:22
This lady. Oh, dead Yussuf. Here she is Odette Yusuf. Let me see
1:10:28
what her deal is. She's a domestic up there it is. NPR.
1:10:32
She has a page domestic extremism correspondent. It says
1:10:36
that on there. Is that right on her page? A debt. Youssef is a
1:10:41
NATIONAL SECURITY CORRESPONDENT focusing on extremism. All
1:10:44
right, but it says domestic extremism correspondent in her
1:10:47
reporting. Yousef claims to explore click Oh aims, aims to
1:10:51
explore how extremist ideas break into the mainstream. Yeah,
1:10:55
on NPR. How individuals are radicalized and efforts to
1:10:59
counter that. Well, so far. We haven't heard any of that she
1:11:02
comes from WBEZ in Chicago, where she most recently was part
1:11:07
of the race class and identity team. Oh, she must have dynamite
1:11:12
business cards. I'm part of the race class and identity team
1:11:16
also known as RCI. While there she was reporter for host and
1:11:22
host for season three of WBCs investigative podcast motive.
1:11:27
Won the 2021 Edward R. Murrow award. Podcast Yes. explores the
1:11:35
emergence and spread of the neo Nazi skinhead movement in the
1:11:39
US. It's been a while
1:11:42
John C Dvorak: probably for 20 years. It's been a while since
1:11:44
I've seen a skinhead. I mean, you see him on TV shows
1:11:47
Adam Curry: you know those guys that January 6, the Feds they
1:11:50
were skinhead kind of guys they all had the same
1:11:52
John C Dvorak: crew cut shortcut in those guys. So there's a skin
1:11:55
his she was also part of
1:11:57
Adam Curry: the team that in 2016 won the national Edward R.
1:12:00
Murrow Award for Best continuing coverage and receives a 2018
1:12:04
Studs Terkel Community Media Award.
1:12:08
John C Dvorak: She's an award winner. She's also an IMDB, by
1:12:11
the way. Oh, is she now this is so you can go there and she does
1:12:14
have the motive podcast series listed in 2019. And that's the
1:12:19
only she's gonna think she's really got on there. But that
1:12:22
just shows you that people that that executive producer show can
1:12:27
get on here too. So yeah, so
1:12:29
Adam Curry: you're you're She's no better than you people.
1:12:31
That's what we're saying. Sure
1:12:32
Unknown: is, you know, exactly what they are concerned about is
1:12:35
violence from the right. And they say that if high profile
1:12:38
figures would just clearly disavow that violence that some
1:12:40
are calling for it could really helped bring the temperature
1:12:43
down.
1:12:44
Adam Curry: Everyone is this high profile figures need to
1:12:48
disavow that violent rhetoric that is raging? Well, I that's
1:12:54
all I ever later
1:12:55
John C Dvorak: Island rhetoric from Trump,
1:12:58
Adam Curry: vermin.
1:12:59
John C Dvorak: Vermin Berman, and so we had to poisoning doing
1:13:02
anything. What did they Are they kidding these people?
1:13:06
Unknown: But when it comes to this ruling in Colorado, I mean,
1:13:08
many are expecting that the ruling from that court may not
1:13:11
be the final word on this or any acknowledge Oh, no.
1:13:15
Yes. In fact, I spoke with Katherine Keneally of another
1:13:18
organization, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue. Oh,
1:13:22
John C Dvorak: another one.
1:13:27
Adam Curry: Institute I should have done this earlier, the
1:13:34
Institute for Strategic Dialogue. Let's see. Let's see.
1:13:37
ISD is ISD global.org. All right, a boot. They got an A
1:13:43
boot page. That power of oh, here's their slogan powering
1:13:47
solutions to extremism, hate and disinformation. They got
1:13:51
solutions. They have solutions. Yeah.
1:13:54
John C Dvorak: And I'm noticing that looks like the code base
1:13:57
for this particular website is very similar to the one you just
1:14:01
used. Yeah.
1:14:02
Adam Curry: Okay, so let me look at the donate page. Let's see
1:14:06
where they have. You can donate in US dollars. Oh, they have a
1:14:12
Oh they've got all kinds of donate in in Euro this a big
1:14:17
outfit man.
1:14:18
John C Dvorak: You know this this outfit is much bigger than
1:14:20
another one that was a front for these are
1:14:22
Adam Curry: the dudes These are big guys. Yeah, these are the
1:14:24
guys. Let me just see. Let's look at their board for a second
1:14:28
just to make sure we can see got UK Boardman. Where's our UK in
1:14:34
Germany?
1:14:35
John C Dvorak: Interest Yeah, in fact, I have this website site
1:14:38
is in German German.
1:14:39
Adam Curry: Yeah. Yeah. They got other Oh man. They got a lot of
1:14:45
lot of Germans. I don't see any. Any funny names that we read.
1:14:49
These are a lot of white women here. Do you know what? Their
1:14:53
racist? They got? No black people. Oh, there's one Sameen
1:14:56
Zehra the youth civic action coordinator. Wow, this is racist
1:15:00
outfit. They have no people of color.
1:15:03
Unknown: And she said she noticed this.
1:15:05
We can also see a large number of people posts statements that
1:15:09
they weren't concerned because they believe that the US Supreme
1:15:13
Court is going to shoot it down anyways. So oh
1:15:16
Adam Curry: my god anyways, anyway, where are you from?
1:15:21
Unknown: frame that I started seeing was the user, nothing
1:15:24
burger, nothing violent. You know, this is still very
1:15:28
concerning to people who care about democracy, right? Because,
1:15:32
you know, even when
1:15:34
John C Dvorak: people's name off the ballot, that's that spells
1:15:36
democracy, even
1:15:38
Unknown: absent violence, you know, this is still very
1:15:41
concerning to people who care about democracy, right? Because,
1:15:45
right, you know, even when threats of violence against
1:15:48
judges voters, really, anyone participating in civic life,
1:15:52
become normal, that can have a chilling effect. You
1:15:56
know, obviously, I read I read The New York Times, like all day
1:16:00
long, mainly on my iPad.
1:16:05
Adam Curry: So Tina, yesterday, she says, You know, I was
1:16:09
watching an interview with Whitney Webb and she's, she's
1:16:11
kind of saying the same thing. You are said Nope. Nope. Then so
1:16:17
she's we sit down to watch it. And she's been making the
1:16:20
rounds. And spoiler alert, neither of us like Whitney Webb.
1:16:29
And, and so I'm watching this. And she literally talks out of
1:16:33
the side of her mouth. Now this is new.
1:16:36
John C Dvorak: She's, it's been developing, it
1:16:39
Adam Curry: wasn't that way. And now it's just just this
1:16:41
continuous smirk. And I'm not sure why people are so enamored
1:16:47
with it, because she's not really saying anything other
1:16:49
than well, they're gonna bring in the CDC to control everybody
1:16:54
through a cyber event, the banks, and it's all planned to
1:16:59
the west, the West. So, so we're watching and and I said, Well,
1:17:05
let me see what you're looking at. And she was on Jimmy Dore,
1:17:08
but this was a different one. This was oh, this was Peter
1:17:12
McCormick from what Bitcoin did. He's a he's a big Bitcoin guy.
1:17:16
Nice guy. I've been on the show a couple times. But every five
1:17:20
seconds when he's going, right, yeah, we're just gonna be shy.
1:17:23
We're when we're the West. Right? And so I go, right. And
1:17:27
that's it. I'm not watching with you anymore. She I can't handle
1:17:31
how you how you hate her. I don't hate her. No, we don't
1:17:35
hate her. I don't hate her.
1:17:36
John C Dvorak: But you know, she's derivative. She doesn't
1:17:39
even live in the United States. And she's making, you know,
1:17:42
doing this analysis. So she's not in the milieu. So she can't
1:17:46
pick up on anything going on. And and she's everything she's
1:17:50
done, somebody else has done before. And when people call her
1:17:53
out, and I have a website, I keep sending people to I don't
1:17:56
have it handy him. Dead Buster, because it was an old Whitney
1:18:01
Webb fan that found that she won't, you know that she's
1:18:05
actually ruined people. She's not a good person.
1:18:09
Adam Curry: And then she continues going on and on about,
1:18:12
you know, they want to control us by making, making it forcing
1:18:15
us to, to use our real job government ID for social media,
1:18:21
and they want to control you and then then you'll sign up for
1:18:23
your internet at home, and then they'll know everything you're
1:18:26
watching. Hello, where are you been? Where have you been? It's
1:18:33
just like, and I don't want to pick on her but crikey, man.
1:18:39
It's like, it's like the redacted people. Now, I'm not
1:18:41
interested in the redacted people either. I'm kind of down
1:18:46
on all of these info Mavericks. And there you go again, yes.
1:18:50
Well, because now people are saying you're just crapping all
1:18:53
over them. Who should Who should we do
1:18:55
Unknown: our urine?
1:18:56
Adam Curry: You know why? Hater? I'm a hater. Dara,
1:18:58
John C Dvorak: right? You're a hater. And you're crapping all
1:19:01
over the good people like Whitney Webb and, and, and, and
1:19:05
Tim Poole, and all the rest of these guys who are just trying
1:19:09
to straighten people out. And they mean well, they mean, well,
1:19:12
they
1:19:13
Adam Curry: do mean well, they absolutely mean well. I think
1:19:15
they do mean well, but it's all just it's like listening to
1:19:18
Twitter all day. It's like there's nothing new it's it's
1:19:22
all by the
1:19:23
John C Dvorak: way. Do they mean well? Well, or is it part of
1:19:27
something bigger? Well, then they don't mean well.
1:19:31
Adam Curry: No, John dvorak.org on that one.
1:19:36
John C Dvorak: Oh, of course is suggesting the possibility
1:19:39
exists.
1:19:39
Adam Curry: No, no one's getting paid. You know. Like Whitney
1:19:43
Webb comes from a billionaire family. She's connected to the
1:19:46
Rockefellers, whatever is she finds who cares? No one's
1:19:51
getting paid to do this. That well, they are by the way
1:19:55
getting paid to keep you afraid and keep us focused on why
1:20:00
John C Dvorak: Yesterday they're doing a good job of that would
1:20:02
actually unfortunately put your buddy Alex Jones in that
1:20:04
category speaking of speaking of, but But before he go there,
1:20:09
I want to go back to this. I just stumbled upon the I had
1:20:12
this ISD page. Yes. One of their big things is to push back
1:20:16
against you if you remember the right rice burger movement. Oh,
1:20:21
it was Germans, of course, that was the German attended attempt
1:20:25
of German to overturn German government by some one guy. So
1:20:29
that was that 70 year old guys, some 70 year old guy. And so
1:20:34
that's all part of it. So this is part of this is a one world
1:20:38
government operation telling you? Well,
1:20:41
Adam Curry: yes. That mean? Well, the thing is, you just got
1:20:43
to follow the money. If Whitney Webb has a nonprofit, then then
1:20:47
I'll say okay, she's in audit, but she's not. But she's, that's
1:20:50
like a fire fund a lot. You know, the, the blonde girl. I
1:20:55
mean, she's, she's uniquely beautiful to look at me. So
1:21:01
which one who? The Dutch girl Eva? You know, she's married to
1:21:05
some guy from Prager, you. She's in that whole group? Yeah,
1:21:09
John C Dvorak: no, I don't know her. Yes, you do. She was
1:21:11
Adam Curry: on Tucker. Yes, you do. And you know, and so she she
1:21:17
uses that the turning point USA and saying your rights, you
1:21:20
know, are given by God. And I was like, Oh, she's the best.
1:21:24
Oh, she's, she's Joan of Arc.
1:21:27
John C Dvorak: I think most of these guys, what they're saying
1:21:29
is already printed on the dollar bill. I mean, it's not like it's
1:21:33
new information.
1:21:35
Adam Curry: Now, but but that's my point is I was like, yeah,
1:21:37
yeah. And all you're doing is sitting around in a circle jerk
1:21:40
going Yeah, yeah. You know, go to your local community run for
1:21:44
school board run for city council do something productive.
1:21:48
These people are distracting you. I love Alex Jones. I always
1:21:51
will. Been he he taught me a lot. He's been right about a
1:21:55
lot. Before we did the show was listening to him. But when you
1:21:58
put him together with Mike Adams, you get dynamite dynamite
1:22:02
content, all of
1:22:04
Unknown: you watching and listening. We're all going to
1:22:05
have to become experts at frankly, killing the Terminator
1:22:09
robots that are trying to kill us by
1:22:11
the way. That's the way the world works for survival, the
1:22:12
fittest the globalist are going to deploy this and see what
1:22:15
happens. Yes, this is a big contest. It's been decided we're
1:22:18
gonna face machines, rather, sabotage and military wokeness
1:22:21
getting the humans out. So only drones can fight the wars
1:22:24
because they'll follow the orders.
1:22:25
And you're not gonna be able to out shoot a terminator
1:22:28
ballistically because they will have built in ballistic
1:22:30
software. They will be able to outrange you with rifles.
1:22:33
They'll have, you know, of course, infrared cameras and so
1:22:36
on. They'll be able to see you at night so you don't go out at
1:22:40
night. Find a terminator. What you do is you set traps for it
1:22:44
traps that where it can't anticipate what's going to
1:22:47
happen. There's going to be a whole field of knowledge about
1:22:49
how to kill terminators. You're going to have autonomous flying
1:22:54
drones making decisions about who to bomb and who to kill.
1:22:57
You're going to have autonomous dog drones. And also, I call
1:23:02
them Terminator squirrels. Believe it or not, because
1:23:05
squirrel the size of a squirrel is actually the best size on a
1:23:08
battlefield because it can go up in a tree and it can traverse a
1:23:12
forest by leaping from tree to tree, and it's very hard to stop
1:23:16
and it can carry about 100 gram explosive. So these Terminator
1:23:20
squirrels I'm not making this No, that's mainstream.
1:23:22
Terminator squirrels will be programmed to seek out enemy
1:23:25
soldiers to leap into their faces, and then detonate in
1:23:28
their face a small charge to kill them like a small grenade.
1:23:31
Okay, so those are going to be unleashed on the battlefield
1:23:35
very, very soon in the coming few years.
1:23:38
Adam Curry: God can't wait. It's coming.
1:23:40
John C Dvorak: Holy moly, where'd you get that?
1:23:42
Adam Curry: Um,
1:23:44
John C Dvorak: somebody sent it to you.
1:23:45
Adam Curry: The clip custodian says
1:23:47
John C Dvorak: we have maniacs that listen to this. That is
1:23:50
your right. That's the kind of a critical mass of craze those two
1:23:56
together it
1:23:56
Adam Curry: was on the Jones's discord. I think that's where
1:23:59
that came. But so all I'm saying is
1:24:05
John C Dvorak: you can't even get these autonomous things to
1:24:08
go more than you know, have
1:24:09
Adam Curry: you seen even
1:24:10
John C Dvorak: before the battery goes dead? Did
1:24:12
Adam Curry: you see Elon Musk optimum version version two.
1:24:15
It's a robot that walks like it has to take a dump
1:24:20
John C Dvorak: they all they all have that? All the robots isone
1:24:23
robot most of them I've seen have to walk they have to keep
1:24:26
out of swatting like they're gonna take a dump belly they'll
1:24:28
fall over
1:24:31
Adam Curry: just beware of false idols people you know be careful
1:24:35
be careful with your with your amygdala. Be careful with your
1:24:37
mind because that's the danger all these people are great. I
1:24:40
mean,
1:24:41
John C Dvorak: it seems curl jumping onto your face and
1:24:43
detonated individually. I mean, can you duck it? Maybe could you
1:24:47
duck the squirrel?
1:24:50
Adam Curry: You know, you know Jordan Peterson individually
1:24:53
these beads they're okay. But they get into this like bar
1:24:56
right and everyone gets spun up to Just get spun up. Easy does
1:25:02
it read a book? Now this is, um, so now we have the following
1:25:07
this, this is a great, a great hit piece, which was sent to me
1:25:11
as Oh, great Nikki Haley, super cut bow. She's full of crap. And
1:25:15
she contradicts herself. Well, this is clearly from Team Magga.
1:25:20
They have hacked I mean, I'm certainly not a Nikki Haley fan.
1:25:25
I think it's hilarious that there's this rumor going around
1:25:28
that Trump is talking to people Hey, should I should I make her
1:25:31
my VP? Please? Yeah, that'll be the day that's not gonna happen.
1:25:36
That mean, she would have a knife in his back within two
1:25:39
seconds. But then they put together and by the
1:25:42
John C Dvorak: way, before you play this clip, I want to say
1:25:44
that I put it in the newsletter, and I'm going to use it as a
1:25:46
theme for the next year, Trump, and whoever the geniuses are,
1:25:51
that work on his campaign will be developing all kinds of you
1:25:56
know, I think this is the reason they came up with all these. I
1:25:59
think the Democrats know this, and we hear a lot about all
1:26:02
misinformation, disinformation, AI is gonna kill us all. Yeah,
1:26:05
AI is going to be used by Trump and his boys and the rest of
1:26:09
them and memes included, I got the meme alert out to kick to
1:26:14
kick ass. And it's gonna be a year of hilarity? Because like
1:26:18
you said, you agree with me on this one thing about AI? It's
1:26:23
funny.
1:26:24
Adam Curry: Oh, but that's the business model. What is the
1:26:26
business model of AI is comedy. It's hilarious. The stuff that
1:26:30
they're doing with existing AI, you don't need anything more
1:26:33
than what's out there already. You know, we can already kind of
1:26:36
do video and do voices. And you know, as far as I'm concerned,
1:26:40
you can stop the development. Although, wow, open AI, John is
1:26:45
now in talks to raise funding at a $100 billion valuation. But
1:26:52
now we see what's really going on, know what the moneys for? It
1:26:57
is too. So they're raising funding with Abu Dhabi based g
1:27:02
42. For a new chip venture. That's we talked about this.
1:27:08
That's where the money is compute. Let's make crazy big
1:27:13
things to take a lot of processing power, tell people is
1:27:16
great. And then sell the chips that do it. Yeah,
1:27:21
John C Dvorak: yeah. And this soak the well, you won't be
1:27:23
soaking in investors. You'll be soaking the public when you go
1:27:26
public. Anyway.
1:27:27
Adam Curry: Now, back to your global warming beat be damned.
1:27:31
Anyway, yeah, there's
1:27:32
John C Dvorak: a good point.
1:27:34
Adam Curry: And here's the Nikki Haley, hit the supercut.
1:27:37
Unknown: Not run as president top right. I'm Nikki Haley, and
1:27:42
I'm running for president. I will not, not now, not ever
1:27:47
support raising the gas tax. Let's increase the gas tax by 10
1:27:52
cents over the next three years. A huge issue that I'll deal
1:27:56
with, as soon as I get there is social media. They need to
1:28:00
verify every single person on their ballot, because and I want
1:28:06
it by name. I never said government should go and require
1:28:10
any Wednesday. I think John has been a really great friend of
1:28:13
ours. Yes, I view China as an enemy. That was not what I
1:28:18
intended to say. I do not think we need to pull money from the
1:28:22
UN. The UN, the only thing is we would defund the UN as much as
1:28:27
possible.
1:28:28
When a job fulfilled child in this country assigned female at
1:28:32
birth says actually, I feel more comfortable living as a boy,
1:28:35
what should the law allow the response to be?
1:28:39
Well, I think the law should stay out of it. And I think
1:28:41
parents should handle it. I think there should be federal
1:28:44
involved that you should not have any gender altering
1:28:47
anything done to a child before the age of 18.
1:28:50
Adam Curry: So I'm just gonna defend Nikki Haley a bit here.
1:28:53
These are clips that are taken out of context, really. And if
1:28:57
you're really honest, throw overboard like she's a liar. Now
1:29:00
if you really listen to it, if you really listen to how this
1:29:03
was cut, I mean, this is like man on the street stuff. Don't
1:29:06
be fooled by this. Don't be fooled by this. This this is
1:29:10
this is cut together to make what you do make her looks worse
1:29:13
than she already is. Again, I would never vote for her. If
1:29:17
she's if she would be Trump's. If I was gonna vote for Trump
1:29:19
and she was the VP I wouldn't vote for Trump. I agree with
1:29:23
that. That's bad idea. So anyway, it's just it's your
1:29:27
we're being hoodwinked by the Internet.
1:29:30
John C Dvorak: Well, that's the whole idea. So
1:29:33
Adam Curry: oh, man, The Washington Post ran a long
1:29:37
article on Sam Altman. And the I'm surprised that they don't
1:29:45
realize themselves they are hyping this guy up in exactly
1:29:50
the same way they did to Sam bank, Ben freed. I mean, stuff
1:29:55
like how Sam Altman took over Silicon Valley from powerful
1:29:59
friends to Oh, In AI, and they say things like, you could drop
1:30:04
in him on an island of cannibals and within five years you'd be
1:30:07
king. Phil, please. Yeah. And like, you know,
1:30:12
John C Dvorak: who wrote this to one of his PR people?
1:30:16
Adam Curry: Well, that's interesting. Let me see if
1:30:17
there's a byline here. Garrett petards, de Vink and cat
1:30:24
Zakrzewski reporting. Two people, two people, yes.
1:30:29
John C Dvorak: How's it take two people?
1:30:32
Adam Curry: There's, you know, there's stuff in here like, you
1:30:36
know, I had a private meeting with with Sam and he, you know,
1:30:40
he was on two phones at the same time. He's very introverted. He
1:30:43
throws parties and then he has like an internal clock. He knows
1:30:46
it's time to retreat to his room. He's not a schmoozer here
1:30:51
to some Altman could be awkward, even antisocial. Even when he
1:30:54
throws a party, he retreats into his room pretty quickly. He has
1:30:57
a timer or social clock where he needs to stop socializing said
1:31:01
investor, Lackey Leakey lucky groom, a close friend. He's not
1:31:06
a schmoozer, another close friend, investor, Keith Rob bois
1:31:10
recalled when he first met Alban, he spent the first
1:31:12
Hangout glued to two different phones. Oh, he's, he's so
1:31:17
introverted. He's so smart.
1:31:20
John C Dvorak: If you're introvert, you're not on two
1:31:21
phones. Let me tell you right now,
1:31:23
Adam Curry: I never met anyone as smart as Sam said, Senate
1:31:26
Senator curse disease.
1:31:27
John C Dvorak: You're right. This sounds exactly banksman
1:31:30
Fried. This is a curse in cinema. You're sure you're
1:31:33
reading the right thing. They're
1:31:35
Adam Curry: different Sam. He's an introvert and shy and humble.
1:31:38
And all of those are things that are not normal for people on the
1:31:42
Hill, but he's very good at forming relationships with
1:31:45
people on the Hill. And he can help folks in government
1:31:48
understand AI he thought
1:31:49
John C Dvorak: he wasn't a schmoozer.
1:31:54
Adam Curry: Hands up Oh, yes, but this this was just the I
1:31:58
mean it was dripping with goo this entire something's article.
1:32:03
Well, what's up is they're hyping this they're just hyping
1:32:06
it Yeah. But
1:32:07
John C Dvorak: why what's going on is another op. The stock
1:32:11
Adam Curry: market that's all they got beat what they need a
1:32:14
story this it was Sam bank been fried when it was blockchain.
1:32:17
This is what I keep telling you. Quantum Computing, his next
1:32:21
pivot is coming oh, it's not
1:32:24
John C Dvorak: over. When the next thing comes along, we'll
1:32:27
both be able to both have our eye out for it. And when the
1:32:31
next big thing, which is always, which is a Silicon Valley,
1:32:34
derisive term used for Silicon Valley, the next big thing is
1:32:38
when he comes around, we'll notice it probably within a week
1:32:42
or two of it happening. And then we can point to it. But
1:32:44
Adam Curry: at this moment, I'm still seeing. I see. I see
1:32:47
little green shoots of quantum computing bullcrap. I see.
1:32:50
John C Dvorak: Yeah, it's I say it's trying to survive.
1:32:55
Adam Curry: Then I have a question here for you. To
1:32:59
lawmakers filed a bill requiring creators of foundation models,
1:33:03
you know, foundation models are, I guess, something more
1:33:06
important than MLMs to disclose sources of training data, so
1:33:12
copyright holders know their information was taken. Here's my
1:33:15
question. When I write something, and I put it on the
1:33:20
internet, and I published it on my blog, the minute I wrote
1:33:24
that, I have copyright on that correct or not? In
1:33:28
John C Dvorak: under the new law? Yes. And you don't even
1:33:30
have to declare it. It's automatic. So
1:33:33
Adam Curry: by definition, unless I've given my rights up
1:33:39
to let's say, x, because when I post on X, I've already agreed
1:33:43
that they have a, an unlimited license, anything I do forever,
1:33:49
then they can't use my training data. Or my data for training
1:33:54
purposes of their foundation models. Why? Because they're
1:33:59
going to, they're going to have a bill requiring creators of
1:34:01
foundation models to disclose sources of training data. So
1:34:04
copyright holders know that information was taken.
1:34:08
John C Dvorak: Information actually taken or just read by a
1:34:12
machine? Well, I mean, I read your I read, for example, I'm
1:34:17
kind of on the other side of this argument. Because I've
1:34:22
always been annoyed by the fact that you're early on in the 70s.
1:34:27
And then into the 80s. People were talking about all the great
1:34:30
things that can happen when all the data's accumulate into some
1:34:33
giant library, all the books of the world, and all the knowledge
1:34:37
can be accessed. And it became a buzz phrase, yes. information at
1:34:41
your fingertips formation superhighway. And it was the it
1:34:45
was the information superhighway as part of that. And so the so
1:34:48
you had all this and then once Google started scanning books,
1:34:52
everybody started squealing like stuck pigs about it. I started
1:34:56
my bark, you know you're out of print book. From 40 years ago
1:35:01
got scanned by Google and you're upset about it because you're
1:35:04
going to lose money somehow you're not going to make a
1:35:06
nickel anyway. And so I noticed that there's this kind of, you
1:35:10
know, this back and forth and whether this is good for society
1:35:13
or bad for society. I personally think it's good for society that
1:35:16
everything gets scanned into some giant database.
1:35:22
Adam Curry: Okay. All right. Well, then, enjoy your AI. Your
1:35:28
chat GPT is dynamite and all good.
1:35:31
John C Dvorak: I never said anything. I never you what
1:35:33
you're doing is extrapolating a simple comment by me into
1:35:37
something just got nothing to do with anything. That's what I'm
1:35:40
not enjoying my chat. GPT I don't even use it. I don't use
1:35:44
chat GBT.
1:35:47
Adam Curry: But I love people who send me emails. Hey, man,
1:35:50
you have no idea how good it is a coding? Yeah, you're you're a
1:35:53
script guy. You know, and I'm sure but it's not going to
1:35:57
optimize the next, you know, MacOS for the new chips. It's
1:36:03
not going to No, it
1:36:03
John C Dvorak: doesn't. JC who works in this industry. And he's
1:36:07
an AI he says this is nonsense. He says you still get better
1:36:11
code from Pakistan and they do lousy coding. He says it's
1:36:15
cheaper and better to get the real life coders and maybe they
1:36:19
AI can clean up some stuff that might be or might optimize
1:36:22
something on the side, but it can't write code from scratch.
1:36:26
No, good. I
1:36:26
Adam Curry: think your code is going to be the same as it
1:36:28
writes English flowery in an ever Yeah, over and done in an
1:36:33
ever expanding world where podcasting. commissure blogger
1:36:39
who is you know, he has a career now in this stuff. And he'll he
1:36:45
keeps saying, Oh, look, look what a chat GPT for said about
1:36:50
podcasting. 2.0 I'm like, Well, you know, a 12 year old could
1:36:53
have written that. The so what bit pulls and I and whenever
1:36:58
it's from grok. I recognize the tweets. It was like, Oh, this I
1:37:04
recognize that tweet that tweet that tweet. I recognize because
1:37:07
if it's if it's about me, like oh, look what grok said about
1:37:10
you. I put grok into funny mode. grok is the worst kind because
1:37:16
it's it's AI that can't even do humor. Right. So, anyway, people
1:37:24
John C Dvorak: will call me a Luddite. You are a Luddite, to
1:37:28
say what you will.
1:37:29
Adam Curry: I'm not afraid to use that
1:37:31
John C Dvorak: clip at the beginning. I already do to get a
1:37:34
hold on you, my friend. I'm gonna ham it up. I'm gonna ruin
1:37:39
it. Now. Just try it. One would wonder I can't get word out
1:37:42
Adam Curry: and go go. You're a Luddite. Nice. Okay. I will be
1:37:46
short not to use that. All right. Okay,
1:37:52
John C Dvorak: I got some stuff here that we need to talk about.
1:37:54
Okay, good. Well, first of all, you know, I had to steal. First
1:37:59
Adam Curry: of all, thank you. Thank you for joining me today
1:38:02
for our Christmas Eve. Yeah, we could be doing lots of things.
1:38:06
If we work for CBS. People shouldn't need to be reminded
1:38:09
that that that we're here we are. We're warning you. We're
1:38:12
helping you or we're spinning you down on Christmas Eve. I
1:38:16
should be drinking nog
1:38:19
John C Dvorak: dog. You shouldn't be drinking. No dog. I
1:38:21
Adam Curry: want to be drinking dog. Yeah, now
1:38:24
John C Dvorak: we're working because it's important work.
1:38:26
Yes, it is. So I had this thing. I'm bitching and moaning about
1:38:29
the Houthis. And why don't we just do yes, satellites when we
1:38:33
just bomb bomb the Huth, where they're sending these the
1:38:36
Houthis
1:38:39
Adam Curry: so I'm not I'm not convinced that this is all us to
1:38:43
sell our our LPG our oil, whatever. No, yeah, to sell it
1:38:49
to Europe.
1:38:51
John C Dvorak: There's actually I agree with that. But this give
1:38:53
this guy a book writers on NTD. And they're gonna discuss, they
1:38:58
introduce him. So you know his name. The who's the discussion
1:39:03
about the weak response. And I have these clips from Andy. And
1:39:06
I thought this guy had it nailed. And he's got a nut kind
1:39:08
of a different angle. So here we go.
1:39:10
Unknown: Thanks for joining me here today, Lee Smith, the US
1:39:13
his response to the Houthi attacks has been called a week
1:39:16
by some political and national national security analysts.
1:39:20
What's your assessment of the US response to attacks? And how do
1:39:24
you think this response will be interpreted by Iran, which backs
1:39:29
the Houthis? Well,
1:39:30
I certainly I certainly agree that it's been a very weak
1:39:33
response. And the main reason for it, of course, is because
1:39:37
the Biden administration wants to renew the nuclear deal with
1:39:42
Iran. And so the Biden ministration is already
1:39:45
concerned that Israel is attacking another Iranian asset,
1:39:49
Hamas in Gaza and so the idea that the United States itself
1:39:54
would protect itself as well as protecting protecting shipping
1:39:58
lanes. This is beyond the pale Al, for the Biden
1:40:02
administration, because again, the key foreign policy
1:40:05
initiative of the Biden administration is to get back
1:40:09
into that nuclear deal. That was the key foreign policy
1:40:12
initiative of Barack Obama. And so Biden wants to get back into
1:40:16
it. Ha.
1:40:18
Adam Curry: Wow. Well, I just want to remind us, that my buddy
1:40:24
Lex, Ben Holland, who is married to an Iranian Fatima that the
1:40:29
jet and she visits regularly, she's over there. And when we
1:40:35
saw her when we were in Holland, when we went on our trip this
1:40:37
summer, and she always says everybody in Iran knows that
1:40:42
America and Iran are always working together. It's all a
1:40:46
show.
1:40:51
John C Dvorak: Well, there you have it, I think that she might
1:40:55
be incorrectly let's go with part two of this clip.
1:40:57
Unknown: And let me ask you this, too. We know that Iran and
1:41:00
the Chinese Communist Party are allies, right and work together
1:41:03
to undermine the US, is there a role that the CCP could be
1:41:08
playing in this? Well,
1:41:10
I'm sure the CCP couldn't be unhappy about this, that it has,
1:41:13
you know, that it's shaken the world's confidence in the United
1:41:18
States is ability to predict shipping lanes. And remember,
1:41:21
the United States has been doing this, since since the end of
1:41:25
World War Two. This is one of the most important things that
1:41:29
the United States does. And it's important for the entire world,
1:41:32
or certainly for the free world for, for Europe, for us and our
1:41:37
other allies. And the idea that the Iranians through the Houthis
1:41:43
have shaken the world's confidence since the United
1:41:47
States is not firing back that weakens not only America's not
1:41:52
only America's prestige, right, but it also is going to cost
1:41:56
other countries, it's going to cost industries a lot more to
1:42:00
ship these goods around the world.
1:42:04
Adam Curry: This is a scam. So scam. Scam is so obvious.
1:42:10
John C Dvorak: And so in he goes on and on, one would analyze
1:42:14
this, but I just took this last piece, just write straight up
1:42:18
with a really interesting assertion
1:42:21
Unknown: that we will not protect the shipping lanes.
1:42:24
Because we have a, we have another chief interest, which is
1:42:29
a nuclear deal with Iran that guarantees Iran's nuclear
1:42:33
weapons program, it doesn't stop it is very important. It doesn't
1:42:38
stop it rather, it makes it legitimate. That's the point of
1:42:41
the nuclear deal. So the message, the larger message that
1:42:44
the Biden administration is sending to the world is you
1:42:47
think things are bad now, and shipping lanes around the world,
1:42:52
wait until Iran, which backs the Houthis get a nuclear bomb, then
1:42:57
everyone's gonna have to be paying off the Iranians and
1:43:00
their allies to be able to ship their goods across the world. So
1:43:04
it's an insanely destructive message that the Biden
1:43:08
administration is sending to the world.
1:43:10
Adam Curry: You know, the tip off for me, which I didn't hear
1:43:12
a single view s media or I was exposed, expecting at least a
1:43:17
BBC report on it, that the French walked away from
1:43:22
Operation prosperity guardian. They said Now we're not going to
1:43:27
participate in this. And I think the Greek said, Screw you. We're
1:43:31
not going to be a part of this. Now when why would the French
1:43:34
leave the French? Is it time to break out the Freedom Fries
1:43:37
again? Why would the French leave? I think is because of
1:43:41
total oil to like, Oh, you guys are screwing us. Yeah, you're
1:43:46
John C Dvorak: true. Yeah. Yeah. To call. It really is half of
1:43:50
France. Yeah.
1:43:52
Adam Curry: So this is this makes no sense. Though, Tom
1:43:59
Hanks needs to do a movie your dad wanted about Somali pirates.
1:44:04
So and this, this, this whole thing? Then when are they going
1:44:11
to have the inks? What stinks to? I haven't? What are they
1:44:14
gonna have that the nuclear bomb two weeks is just around the
1:44:18
corner,
1:44:18
John C Dvorak: always going to be two weeks around the corner,
1:44:20
I'm sure. Well, once they get back on track, I'm sure to go a
1:44:25
little faster. But after having Trump come in and disrupt
1:44:28
everything, that didn't help and it's not going to help if Trump
1:44:31
gets back in office. This is not to these schemes, these one
1:44:35
world government schemes away I see him.
1:44:37
Adam Curry: I mean, now I'm also thinking that a whole that whole
1:44:40
thing that Trump uncovered that we're going to attack Iran,
1:44:42
that's probably a gambit to Alright, now we're going to
1:44:45
pretend we're going to attack you guys. We're gonna do
1:44:48
something over here and then we'll do this and then
1:44:51
John C Dvorak: we'll actually maybe that maybe that document
1:44:54
implies that it would be and that's why it's secret. He
1:44:57
Adam Curry: probably buried that with Ivana as well. is
1:45:00
John C Dvorak: in the cost of the digger up digger up,
1:45:04
Adam Curry: digger up. Now normally we have a veto on
1:45:10
playing this guy, but I think oh no, yes, yeah, can
1:45:13
John C Dvorak: I guess who it is?
1:45:14
Adam Curry: You already know, you already know. Go ahead.
1:45:19
Okay,
1:45:20
John C Dvorak: go ahead. John Kerry, of
1:45:21
Adam Curry: course it is you got it. But but is John I have not.
1:45:26
You've been doing this. I know. Well, because of the cop 28
1:45:30
You're
1:45:30
John C Dvorak: in clear violation of the treaty? Well,
1:45:33
it's
1:45:33
Adam Curry: cop 28. So, you know, I have a veto in the
1:45:36
Security Council in the in the clip council. So we're summing
1:45:41
up cop 28. And the big news that came out of cop 28 is we
1:45:46
actually Chad GBT use the line transition away from fossil
1:45:53
fuels fuels. And then there's a second part to it to reach a net
1:45:59
zero economy, which is code for carbon credits, because net zero
1:46:06
doesn't mean that we're not using fossil fuels. It means
1:46:10
that we are buying pieces of Africa, then just call that a
1:46:15
carbon sink. Now, all that we plant some trees, this kind of
1:46:21
stuff. But this was the bill. This was this is fantastic. We
1:46:27
did our job. It took us 28 Cops 20 A cops and we finally did it.
1:46:33
I'm John Kerry. Now the beauty of this is it's Christine.
1:46:37
Christiane Amanpour, who I'm now convinced is so dumb. She has
1:46:44
that elitist vibe over her. And for years, you know, he was
1:46:47
like, Oh, she's Christina. Christiana. Paula. I'm
1:46:51
Christiane Allen. Pa my my poop don't stink. Well, she's done.
1:46:55
President
1:46:56
Unknown: Biden's top climate envoy John Kerry says only greed
1:47:00
can now get in the way of combating climate change. Carrie
1:47:03
was right at the center of the high stakes deal making a cop 28
1:47:07
in Dubai, where remarkably, all 195 nations agreed to transition
1:47:12
away from fossil fuels. Earlier this week, he and I talked about
1:47:16
age activism, and how hard it was to get to that agreement.
1:47:21
Adam Curry: First of all, the whole notion that this was a big
1:47:24
deal to transition away from fossil fuels. I mean, is this
1:47:28
not what they've been saying for 15 years? Well,
1:47:33
John C Dvorak: here's the other aspect to this. They actually
1:47:36
want it and we had clips. I don't know if we replayed them
1:47:40
from cop 28 where they didn't want the wording was not
1:47:44
transition away was a bit. Yeah. Exactly. And they and the guy
1:47:50
was the head one of the head honchos and one of the big
1:47:53
Middle East oil companies was running the show. And he managed
1:47:56
to change it from eliminate, to transition away from which is
1:48:02
what they've kind of been doing, you know, transition away, it
1:48:07
doesn't mean anything is meaningless.
1:48:09
Adam Curry: That's what Elon Musk has been helping with.
1:48:11
That's what it is. transition away from fossil fuel. Okay.
1:48:15
Unknown: Secretary Kerry, welcome back to the program.
1:48:18
There was a lot written about how you were able to leverage if
1:48:21
that's the right way your contacts with the Saudi with the
1:48:25
remember,
1:48:26
Adam Curry: isn't this in his daughter married to like some
1:48:29
Iranian dude.
1:48:32
John C Dvorak: I can't remember the relationship during that.
1:48:34
Yeah. But anyway,
1:48:35
Adam Curry: I'm John Kerry, I did it all II with
1:48:38
Unknown: the Chinese officials at I'll tell me just what it was
1:48:41
like in terms of personal negotiation, getting them to
1:48:44
sign on the dotted line?
1:48:46
Well, it's really tough. I mean, this is as tough as any
1:48:49
multilateral negotiation gets. When you have economic interests
1:48:54
and different capacities, different capabilities,
1:48:57
different amounts of money, different cultures. And you
1:49:02
bring them all together in a multilateral forum. I think
1:49:06
people who expect them to all of a sudden, you know, terminate
1:49:10
what they're doing, are just not operating on the reality of how
1:49:13
multilateral governance, it works. It's the hardest kind of
1:49:17
all. And what happened in
1:49:20
Adam Curry: multilateral governance, New World Order, is
1:49:24
the hardest of all, but I'm John Kerry by
1:49:27
Unknown: is that 195 countries actually came to a consensus,
1:49:31
any one of them could have blocked any one country could
1:49:34
have walked away and said, No, we're not doing this. They
1:49:36
didn't. They gathered together and said, time for a transition
1:49:42
away from fossil fuels, with acceleration in the 2020s
1:49:47
commensurate with that zero 2050. And in keeping with the
1:49:51
Paris Agreement, which means keeping 1.5 degrees alive if
1:49:55
there's one thing which worries me what is it what what worries
1:49:58
me now is greed and procrastination and business as
1:50:02
usual, and people who just aren't going to step up.
1:50:06
Adam Curry: This is a perfect example of what you said, Ben,
1:50:09
yourself and your co op do the health. The greed part. That's
1:50:12
you. That's you all those people there. They're in it for the
1:50:15
greed. Ah, I can sell carbon credits. Oh, we don't have to be
1:50:20
done until 2050. John Caron set up an exchange. Yes, John Kerry
1:50:26
will be dead in 2050. Because he's well into his 80s. Now, I
1:50:29
think or his ad. No, no, no, I think so.
1:50:32
John C Dvorak: But let's check it out.
1:50:34
Adam Curry: Doesn't matter. Let's talk about Trump.
1:50:35
Unknown: If you're the envoy for President Biden, what happens if
1:50:38
Biden doesn't get elected? And the climate? You know, I don't
1:50:42
even know what to call him the climate agreement. Pull her out
1:50:44
or
1:50:45
Adam Curry: the climate agreement polar outer. That is
1:50:49
your elitist. Christiane Amanpour. They're
1:50:51
John C Dvorak: actually at your right.
1:50:54
Adam Curry: I don't even know what to call Trump but a climate
1:50:56
agreement polar outer
1:50:58
John C Dvorak: is a polar outer. No, and he's a polar outer. He's
1:51:01
a polar outer
1:51:02
Unknown: of the First Order climate. You know, I don't even
1:51:05
know what to call him the climate agreement, pull her out,
1:51:08
or Donald Trump. You know, after 2015 comes back,
1:51:13
let me tell you even why Donald Trump is president united states
1:51:16
and he pulled out of the Paris Agreement. 37 governors,
1:51:20
Republican and Democrat alike in the States of America, all
1:51:23
continued to apply the Paris Agreement, even while Donald
1:51:26
Trump was out of the agreement with
1:51:29
Adam Curry: this is a lie. What do you mean, we send money to
1:51:33
China, the Texas send money to South America. That's the
1:51:37
agreement pulled her out, or
1:51:39
Unknown: 75% of the new electricity, the United States
1:51:43
that came online came from renewables. Now he probably
1:51:46
didn't know it, or he tried to stop it. But that line is key
1:51:50
now. Nobody can stop this. Now nobody economies of the world
1:51:55
had made this decision. I think no one politician anywhere in
1:51:59
the world can undo the direction the world is now. And
1:52:02
particularly
1:52:03
the young people who are really there for it and won't allow me
1:52:07
to meet and quiet
1:52:09
Adam Curry: the young people are not puller outers at all at all.
1:52:15
All right. Now since since the after this. After this clip, I
1:52:21
want you to write this down. January, December 24 2023. After
1:52:27
this clip, I will never play John Kerry again. Tao
1:52:31
John C Dvorak: ball shet. Because Oh crap, this this is
1:52:35
you think he's gonna die or something? What do you what do
1:52:37
you got going on here? This
1:52:39
Adam Curry: is the end. He's done his job. He has. He has
1:52:43
done what? He's retiring. He's done. He's done. He's out. He
1:52:47
will no longer be around. He's already talking about how great
1:52:51
he is. He'll tell his grandchildren how great he are.
1:52:53
He's telling his grandchildren how great he is. This is it.
1:52:56
It's a swan song. Sayanora you just
1:52:59
Unknown: celebrated your 80th birthday still going strong?
1:53:02
What line can you draw from that from the young man who came back
1:53:06
and told his country that this war is the wrong war? To today
1:53:10
to what you will tell your grandchildren about what's been
1:53:13
achieved after this cop 28 What will you tell them about their
1:53:16
future?
1:53:17
Well, there we can make a difference that all of us there
1:53:19
being citizens and being active and being engaged. We have that
1:53:24
freedom, that power to make a difference. The struggle for us
1:53:27
a little bit now in the United States and elsewhere is to make
1:53:30
sure that the truth is on the table that we are ratifying
1:53:34
truth, not just information, but bad ideology. And I think that,
1:53:41
you know, in so many ways, the journey we traveled I wrote the
1:53:46
the title of my own biography after I left his secretary is
1:53:50
every day is extra. That comes from a saying that many of the
1:53:54
guys on my crew and many of the people I grew there felt that
1:53:58
responsibility because we survived and we came back
1:54:01
Adam Curry: way But wasn't he a traitor? But why do I remember
1:54:05
he? Did he throw his metals in the water or something
1:54:10
John C Dvorak: he threw, but it was supposedly he was doing some
1:54:14
protest. I think anti war protest Vietnam and he
1:54:18
supposedly threw his metals into some, you know, burning heap.
1:54:23
Then somebody found out that he bought some metals at a pawn
1:54:28
shop and through those and what was was was a rumor it was a
1:54:32
Swift Boat thing.
1:54:34
Adam Curry: It was this that was on any
1:54:35
John C Dvorak: Swift Boat where he came I'm ready for duty. He
1:54:38
comes out at the at the convention I'm ready for duty
1:54:42
salutes the crowd. And then he has the Swift Boat in a Swift
1:54:45
Boat guys came out so he's full of crap. This guy's a phony.
1:54:49
Yeah, he's a phony baloney this guy. He's always been
1:54:52
Adam Curry: Yeah. But now he's talking about his crew, my crew,
1:54:55
a two Live Crew. What are you a hip hop guy now? That
1:54:58
Unknown: comes from a saying And then many of the guys on my crew
1:55:02
crew, the people I knew there I run with some bad dudes, sir.
1:55:06
Felt that response, because we survived and we came back. And
1:55:10
so you treat every day as extra. And when you say to me, you
1:55:14
know, I'm 80 years old and I don't think about age, honestly,
1:55:16
I don't. The other day I said to my friends, when we were
1:55:20
gathered, I said, you know, at 80, I can do everything I used
1:55:24
to do when I was 50. But I don't remember what it is.
1:55:32
It's not true, by the
1:55:34
John C Dvorak: way, oh, no, really,
1:55:35
Adam Curry: I guess. I
1:55:37
Unknown: must really tick you off all this stuff about Biden
1:55:39
and his age. It does.
1:55:41
I think that sort of in ages, and he's done a brilliant job. I
1:55:44
think it's really, you know, he's been able to galvanize
1:55:49
people around critical values that are at stake in Ukraine
1:55:53
critical values. I don't know what has happened to a lot of
1:55:55
people who back away from that now, because the cost of nine
1:56:00
ones varying, would be just extraordinary for the world. And
1:56:04
I think he knows how the congress works. He knows
1:56:05
America, and he also knows how the world works. And that's what
1:56:08
you need today. So thank you very much. Thank you. Goodbye,
1:56:13
Adam Curry: John Kerry. banned forever.
1:56:16
John C Dvorak: So you are putting this date down as this
1:56:20
Ms. 2023 as a swan song,
1:56:24
Adam Curry: he's done. He's out. Dez
1:56:27
John C Dvorak: bull crap. There's no way guy like this
1:56:30
out.
1:56:31
Adam Curry: He's done. He's done. He's no, he's done. He's
1:56:34
done on the show.
1:56:35
John C Dvorak: There will be no more clips of Joe iring. About
1:56:37
that. Well, then I'm gonna bring clips, he might, he might
1:56:39
Adam Curry: as well be dead to us. He's dead to me. He's dead
1:56:42
to me. Now, I will say the one thing that I was absolutely
1:56:46
right on was this. In the start in the EU, then we then I said,
1:56:51
you watch this is a thing. And it is indeed, it's the green
1:56:55
Hydrogen. Hydrogen is all about now. We're moving away from wind
1:57:01
and solar. Because that's no good. It's all about the
1:57:04
hydrogen and
1:57:05
Unknown: hydrogen producers could soon be eligible for
1:57:07
billions of dollars in tax credits through the inflation
1:57:10
protection act. The Biden administration today released
1:57:13
his proposal to boost the hydrogen industry as a cleaner
1:57:16
alternative to fossil fuels. Under the proposal cleaner
1:57:20
energy projects would get the most tax credits. Those that use
1:57:23
fossil fuels to produce hydrogen would still get them but in
1:57:27
smaller amounts, hydrogen production credit could deliver
1:57:30
$140 billion in revenue and 700,000 jobs by the year 2030.
1:57:36
Adam Curry: Sure. How's that hydrogen working for you?
1:57:43
John C Dvorak: Climate is this climate change mini clip?
1:57:48
Adam Curry: Shall we have a listen?
1:57:50
John C Dvorak: Yeah, it's 50
1:57:51
Unknown: Plus Architecture, Landscape Architecture and
1:57:54
Design officers have participated in this exhibition,
1:57:58
they've come together to creatively design an entire
1:58:02
city, which is edible.
1:58:06
And edible city.
1:58:08
John C Dvorak: Yeah, that's right. They were gonna do that.
1:58:10
Adam Curry: Where was that? Where was that from? That's
1:58:15
hilarious.
1:58:16
John C Dvorak: This story was about a bye about climate
1:58:20
change. But they decided they're going to do a green gingerbread
1:58:25
city designed by the world's top architects. And so they designed
1:58:30
this thing and it was turned out to be edit where I thought just
1:58:33
as sub clip itself was funny, where Sir Mark
1:58:35
Adam Curry: and de mastered when we're designing a gingerbread
1:58:38
city, those guys could do it. They could
1:58:41
John C Dvorak: do it. And they were they're going to be
1:58:43
involved in today's day mastery, for sure. On today's donations,
1:58:48
contributed money to us. She's still listens.
1:58:51
Adam Curry: Are you doing a show on Tuesday with the Horowitz? Of
1:58:56
course. Well,
1:58:57
John C Dvorak: could I it's after Christmas. He doesn't care
1:58:59
about credit. I mean, he's Jewish. And so the joke is, I
1:59:02
always like to chide him about it. He totally can. He totally
1:59:08
confirms this. Most Jews go and eat Chinese dinners. Chinese you
1:59:15
know, Christmas is like a tradition that's which means
1:59:19
that they observe Christmas or they wouldn't have a tradition
1:59:22
around Christmas. And he has no problem saying Merry Christmas.
1:59:27
No, of
1:59:28
Adam Curry: course not. You know what, I love him because he's,
1:59:31
he's one of those Jews who loves cooking up lobsters. He's
1:59:33
boasting about it all the time. Just like
1:59:37
John C Dvorak: you know, it's obvious. He's a good cook. He
1:59:39
knows how to cook only he's a little bit nuts about his way.
1:59:44
Adam Curry: He goes out of control.
1:59:46
John C Dvorak: He's out of control. He could he'll cook for
1:59:48
25 people, nobody in their right mind. Who knows how to cook
1:59:52
well, will cook for 25 people. It's just too much work. It's
1:59:56
ridiculous. You get a caterer and have them do it. You Just
2:00:00
don't do it, but he'll do it.
2:00:02
Adam Curry: Yeah, about I love Andrew and NGL. They're there.
2:00:06
There's some very fine people.
2:00:08
John C Dvorak: They're very fine, very fine people.
2:00:12
Adam Curry: But I have a question about how this will
2:00:14
work. Because what the new president Millay of Argentina
2:00:20
said he would do, he has done he repaired the payee repack the
2:00:26
peso, the peso has been pegged. And it's not it's been he
2:00:30
promised it will be bad but as bad economic
2:00:33
Unknown: shock treatment is the only solution. According to the
2:00:36
New Argentinian president. In a televised address, have you
2:00:39
Malay said he would repeal more than 300 laws in a bid to reboot
2:00:44
the country struggling economy, and
2:00:47
earlier today, I've signed a decree of necessity and urgency
2:00:51
to begin to unblock the oppressive legal and
2:00:53
institutional framework this destroyed our country on base.
2:00:59
Among the announcements made on Wednesday, are a form of labor
2:01:02
law, the scrapping of a law regulating rents and the
2:01:06
elimination of rules preventing the privatization of state
2:01:09
enterprises. But before the measures can take effect, they
2:01:13
must first be assessed by joint committee of lawmakers from both
2:01:16
chambers, they'll and Malaise far right party only has 40
2:01:20
seats in the 257 member lower house and seven senators out of
2:01:24
72. Fearing street protests, the government threatened to take
2:01:29
away demonstrators social welfare benefits, which didn't
2:01:33
stop these Argentinians marching in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, so
2:01:37
you're
2:01:37
not convenient, let them take our freedom. It costs too much.
2:01:41
taking people off buses asking for documents and banning
2:01:44
protests going back to the dictatorship back because there
2:01:48
were those who voted for Malay want.
2:01:51
On Monday, Argentina's Minister for Human Capital issued a
2:01:54
warning via social media.
2:01:57
Those blocking streets won't be paid. The
2:01:59
move to discourage protests was declared unconstitutional by
2:02:03
opposition MPs. In Argentina, wanting to citizens receive aid
2:02:08
from the state or an organization.
2:02:10
Adam Curry: Okay, so I should mention DHS unplugged every
2:02:13
Tuesday. It's an hour long casual conversation between
2:02:16
money manager Andrew Horowitz and calmness, Jhansi Dvorak. And
2:02:21
so my question is, how does this mechanism work? When you want to
2:02:26
stop rampid inflation view then repaired, everything becomes 30
2:02:31
to 50%. More expensive overnight, half the people from
2:02:35
the report depend on government handouts. I mean, what's the
2:02:40
mechanism? This is not the first time this has been done? How
2:02:43
does it work? What is I mean, does it last two months, two
2:02:46
years? How does it work? But how is this going to help everybody
2:02:50
in the end? It
2:02:51
John C Dvorak: stops inflation pretty quickly. This was done in
2:02:54
Brazil. This has been done in Argentina, I think a couple of
2:02:58
times. And once you read Peg, Yeah, it goes everything goes
2:03:02
up. It seems to go up 30%. But it's been going up 15 or 20% a
2:03:05
month. Anyway. Yeah. So if it goes up 30% once and then stops
2:03:11
going up. That seems to be a benefit. Yeah, okay, things are
2:03:14
gonna be a little more expensive for the short term. Brazilians
2:03:17
did it. They took in, they had these different. I was first
2:03:22
time I went to Brazil, I went during the period of
2:03:24
hyperinflation. And I still have a couple of bills. The cruzeiro
2:03:29
is beer bill and they have one that's 500,000. And it was worth
2:03:36
they originally was worth like about $1. And then it became
2:03:41
worth less and less and less than they used as got rid of it
2:03:43
completely. They had two different versions of it. They
2:03:46
got rid of it and brought in something called the rial
2:03:48
meaning, which means real, and it was pegged to the dollar one
2:03:53
to one. And it pretty much stopped inflation. And one of
2:03:57
the things I think that caused inflation to stop dead is what
2:04:01
Milton Friedman's, we had a clip, we played it, where he
2:04:06
discusses something in one one of the states during the Civil
2:04:09
War where they're having this inflation problem, and they just
2:04:13
stop printing money, and the inflation stopped. It was just
2:04:18
that simple in that easy. And that's exactly what this amounts
2:04:22
to. Here
2:04:23
Adam Curry: is here's the clip. I believe this one you referring
2:04:25
to 40 years ago on inflation's cause is that would that be the
2:04:28
clip to be
2:04:30
Unknown: in the modern era? The important next step is to
2:04:36
recognize that today, governments control the quantity
2:04:40
of money. So that as a result, inflation in the United States
2:04:46
is made in Washington and nowhere else. Of course, no
2:04:51
government any more than any one of us like to take
2:04:54
responsibility for bad things. We're all of us human, if
2:04:58
something bad happens in one wasn't our fault.
2:05:00
Adam Curry: Yeah, I don't think this is a clip but I want to
2:05:02
play it out. Yeah,
2:05:03
Unknown: playing the government is the same way. So it doesn't
2:05:07
accept responsibility for inflation. If you listen to
2:05:10
people in Washington and talk, they will tell you that
2:05:14
inflation is produced by greedy businessmen. Or it's produced by
2:05:18
grasping unions, or it's produced by spendthrift
2:05:22
consumers. Or maybe it's those terrible Arab sheiks who are
2:05:27
producing those guys. Now, of course, businessmen are greedy.
2:05:32
Who of us isn't? Trade Unions are grasping who of us isn't.
2:05:39
And there's no doubt that the consumer is a spendthrift. At
2:05:43
least every man knows that about his wife. But none of them
2:05:48
produce inflation. For the very simple reason that neither the
2:05:52
businessman nor the trade union, nor the white housewife has a
2:05:59
printing press in their basement on which they can turn out those
2:06:02
green pieces of paper, we call them money. Only Washington has
2:06:07
that printing press, and therefore only Washington can
2:06:10
produce inflation.
2:06:13
Adam Curry: So what do we do with our rampant inflation in
2:06:18
the United States, where our debt payments on the almost $34
2:06:22
trillion is now 1.7 trillion? Which is more than we give to
2:06:27
the military industrial complex? Can we pegged ourselves to our
2:06:32
own dollar
2:06:33
John C Dvorak: before we tend to do that? Yeah, to pay off the
2:06:35
debt with paper money. How do
2:06:37
Adam Curry: we do that? What do we do we just devalue the
2:06:39
dollar? It never happens. No, so we don't tend to do that is what
2:06:43
you're saying? Well, it's
2:06:46
John C Dvorak: always on the table.
2:06:49
Adam Curry: There the results of this Oregon let inflation
2:06:52
John C Dvorak: go nuts if it goes up like crazy, like it did
2:06:54
in the 70s. It takes us that for a while. Well,
2:07:01
Adam Curry: it seems to me if you look at the the lay of the
2:07:03
land, because now with the effectively the whole Suez
2:07:08
Canal, read, read, see the whole thing, you know, all the way
2:07:11
down to the Gulf of Aden, where we know the Stargate is, yeah,
2:07:16
John C Dvorak: you know what comes through that Stargate?
2:07:18
Yes. Fish?
2:07:20
Adam Curry: Yes. Only when it's open. Then the fish come out.
2:07:24
Already we're hearing all supply chain supply chain, which I
2:07:28
think could be could be used to blame inflation. Yeah, code.
2:07:34
Yeah. Yeah. If all it all it's the Houthis the Houthi price
2:07:38
hike. So the answer, which we've been discussing for a long time
2:07:45
is universal basic income. And PBS News Hour had John Yang. I
2:07:52
mean, Michael Tubbs is he? I think he's the mayor of Stockton
2:07:56
because this is this has been one of those experiments in
2:07:58
Stockton, where they get give people money as it they don't
2:08:03
call them call it universal basic income income. They call
2:08:05
it something else. Yeah,
2:08:07
John C Dvorak: giving people money. It's called
2:08:08
Adam Curry: giving people money. But the people are getting
2:08:12
serious about this. You want to hear some clips of
2:08:15
John C Dvorak: this? Yes, I would like to hear so. It's not
2:08:17
Unknown: a new idea. No Strings Attached payments to provide
2:08:21
people with a financial floor what's called a guaranteed basic
2:08:25
income. It actually dates back to 16th century England. Today,
2:08:29
it's been tested in dozens of pilot programs.
2:08:31
Adam Curry: Is there any evidence of that? Did they use
2:08:33
it in the 1500s. In England, they gave people universal basic
2:08:37
income. I'm
2:08:38
John C Dvorak: sure there was some sort of giveaway going on
2:08:40
and it back in the day that has been misinterpreted as such.
2:08:45
Unknown: Okay, it's across the country think probably in cities
2:08:48
as big as Baltimore and as small as Yellow Springs, Ohio
2:08:51
population about 3700. Some of them use taxpayer funds. Others
2:08:56
use private contributions or foundation grants. Stockton,
2:09:00
California was among the first to launch a pilot program in
2:09:03
2019. Earlier I spoke with Stockton, his mayor at the time,
2:09:06
Michael Tubbs. He's also founder of a group called mayor's for a
2:09:10
guaranteed income. I asked him about the genesis of Stockton
2:09:14
Spro gram guaranteed
2:09:15
Adam Curry: income there it is yet the
2:09:17
Unknown: crux of all the issues from homelessness to crime to
2:09:21
education was this persistent poverty and economic insecurity.
2:09:26
So I my first 100 days, I gathered my team in the office
2:09:29
and I said, you guys, I want our legacy to be an anti poverty, a
2:09:33
pro Economic Security Administration. So let's come up
2:09:36
with all the ideas for how can we as a government ensure that
2:09:41
people have enough to live and survive and eventually thrive?
2:09:44
And through that my team came back with this idea of a
2:09:47
guaranteed income citing work that was happening in places
2:09:51
like Kenya and in Mexico and Brazil, that had heard of
2:09:54
guaranteed income from studying Dr. King in college. So I was
2:09:57
familiar with the idea so I said Well, let's do
2:10:01
Adam Curry: it. I love that we're now on the level of Kenya.
2:10:06
In Brazil. Yeah, that's that's getting pretty bad. And there's,
2:10:11
I think this is possibly a plan for Democrats for 2024. And,
2:10:18
honestly, you know, everyone pays attention when Oh, you're
2:10:21
gonna give me money that no strings attached, you know, and
2:10:25
this will
2:10:25
John C Dvorak: be this is a classic potential Democrat
2:10:29
promise to the black community. Yes. Which they never deliver
2:10:33
on. And they should all remember that, that, that welfare reform,
2:10:37
which was throwing a lot of money into that, in that
2:10:40
direction was kit was was promoted and implemented by Bill
2:10:44
Clinton and other democratic Pull, pull all that money back.
2:10:48
But yeah, it looks like a promise this is not going to
2:10:51
happen.
2:10:52
Adam Curry: Did you say black short term you say bluntness, or
2:10:55
do you say black community?
2:10:56
John C Dvorak: I said black community Manjusha.
2:10:59
Adam Curry: Alright, so let's find out what did he
2:11:02
John C Dvorak: say the black voter there you got tends to
2:11:04
vote Democrat go. And
2:11:05
Unknown: as I understand it, the program ran for two years, you
2:11:08
had 125 participants from neighborhoods where the median
2:11:12
income was at or below the city's median, which I think was
2:11:15
about $46,000. They got $500 a month for two years. What did
2:11:21
you find?
2:11:22
Adam Curry: This is, by the way, $46,000. I mean, I know people
2:11:26
in New York City who make less than that, so people would pay
2:11:29
attention, oh, I'd be eligible for something like this. So
2:11:32
Unknown: many people said the money would be spent on drugs
2:11:34
and alcohol, that people would stop working, or that people
2:11:37
would use that money to commit crimes, etc. And what we saw was
2:11:41
that people spend money the way you and I and the viewer spend
2:11:44
money, we saw them be two times less likely to be unemployed. We
2:11:49
saw them spend the money on things like utilities and
2:11:52
necessities on food and other children. But we also saw health
2:11:56
impacts, we saw those with a guaranteed income saw their
2:11:59
stress decrease just a small amount of money was enough, not
2:12:03
for people to become millionaires, or for people not
2:12:06
to be evicted for people that take care of their children, for
2:12:09
people to be able to pay to get their car fixed for people to
2:12:11
live and contribute to their communities.
2:12:15
Adam Curry: Sounds like this was a raging success. No one bought
2:12:17
drugs. I mean, is that how they use the money? So
2:12:22
Unknown: everything you just said it's sort of contradicts or
2:12:25
counters what the critics say, because the critics say that
2:12:28
this takes away the incentive to work, that this will foster bad
2:12:33
spending decisions. But it sounds like that that's not what
2:12:36
you found in Stockton. That's
2:12:38
not what we found in Stockton, increasingly, from any of the
2:12:42
dozens of pilots happening across this country in this
2:12:45
world consistently, which suggests to me, John, that part
2:12:49
of the issue is not just a data issue, but a storytelling issue
2:12:52
that we have to get people to see the myths, the lies, the
2:12:57
prejudices, the stereotypes and biases we have against people
2:13:01
who may have less money
2:13:02
Adam Curry: yet, let's go to the myths and the lies. Because this
2:13:05
guy thinks that Social Security is just like a like a thing that
2:13:10
the government is just nicely giving to people skips the whole
2:13:13
point of you pay into Social Security your entire life. I
2:13:18
think he's setting us up for a me now, there's not going to be
2:13:21
any social security because that money as you've pointed out,
2:13:25
John, is gone. It's been used, stolen, stolen, stolen,
2:13:31
John C Dvorak: so stolen.
2:13:32
Adam Curry: So you know, there's some local tax and give people
2:13:35
money from that. Do
2:13:36
Unknown: you see guaranteed income programs, supplementing
2:13:40
government assistance programs, or replacing government
2:13:42
assistance programs?
2:13:44
I see as a supplemental I see it really as an extension of the
2:13:48
social safety net, I see it as as our 21st century, um, Social
2:13:52
Security. In the Great Depression, we decide that folks
2:13:56
who are older, deserve to have a little bit of cushion post 65
2:14:00
Because they've done so much for our communities. And also think
2:14:03
because
2:14:03
Adam Curry: they've done so much for our communities. No, because
2:14:06
they paid that money in, you're supposed to steward it, man, you
2:14:11
didn't you stole it.
2:14:12
Unknown: And also think our current government programs
2:14:15
should take note about what makes guaranteed income works
2:14:18
because hey, it's the money. But be it's also the trust, that
2:14:21
maybe people don't need to do a bunch of paperwork. Maybe folks
2:14:25
don't need someone to sit down and make them come in and set
2:14:29
goals. Maybe a lot of folks just need cash. And maybe that will
2:14:32
make some of the investments we're making as a government
2:14:35
that much more efficient.
2:14:38
Adam Curry: He did banking on people not noticing this. He's
2:14:42
gone, man. I'm sorry. It's just gone. Where are we going? This
2:14:44
is the final clip. Where are we going to get the money from
2:14:47
Unknown: these programs, the pilot programs, some of them use
2:14:49
government money. Some of them use private donations, some of
2:14:53
them use grant money from foundations. If you were able to
2:14:56
make this permanent across the country, how do you think it
2:14:59
should be funded? We
2:15:00
are able to make this permanent across the country. And again, I
2:15:03
get the child tax credit is a huge start, which is a
2:15:06
guaranteed income, be it for families with children. So state
2:15:11
governments, county governments, local governments, we're doing
2:15:14
pilots there, because those governments can't deficit spin.
2:15:18
They have to have a balanced budget every year. Our federal
2:15:22
government can, and we do, we can also raise revenue. We can
2:15:26
legalize cannabis nationwide and use a tax revenue for that to
2:15:29
pay for guaranteed income. We could close in 2017 Trump tax
2:15:33
cuts, which gave their dollars away to the richest among us, we
2:15:37
get close other tax loopholes, oh crap, a guaranteed income.
2:15:41
There's no shortage of ways of paying for it. I really believe
2:15:45
that. The question is, how do we build the wheel? How do we make
2:15:48
a necessity? It's a political question. We have to organize
2:15:52
and demand of our elected officials that this is what we
2:15:56
need and let them know this is not scary. It's not an extreme
2:15:59
position. This is not a utopian position. This is a position
2:16:04
that Republicans and Democrats alike are both suffering. And
2:16:09
that's sliminess anger. We see this this this raging populism
2:16:12
we see comes from economic anxiety in some way. So this is
2:16:16
not a partisan issue, which is a long answer to say it's a
2:16:19
political question, but we've been doing the work to build
2:16:22
political will, it will continue pushing until we get there. I
2:16:27
Adam Curry: think it will happen. And I think this is the
2:16:29
plan. I'm now I'm gonna go a little Whitney Webb on you. But
2:16:33
this is this is where you bring in your central bank, digital
2:16:36
currency. This is where you can print your money, you can make
2:16:40
it all magically appear, put it into people's pocket. That would
2:16:45
be the way to do it. Not this whatever he was saying I got
2:16:48
Foundation's grant Manana. And this is on PBS. So it's not
2:16:54
obscure, you know, they're working this angle.
2:16:58
John C Dvorak: Well, they're gonna take it, it's gonna take a
2:16:59
lot more work. I'm not going to argue that it's not going to
2:17:04
happen eventually. Because the way things are set up. It's it
2:17:07
has to happen. It's almost inevitable. But what the
2:17:11
Adam Curry: timeframe Basic Income universal basic income,
2:17:14
yeah, yeah,
2:17:15
John C Dvorak: it's inevitable. But the tie, especially after
2:17:19
robbing the Social Security money. And then they've done
2:17:25
they've ratchet everybody down. I mean, I make money on Social
2:17:28
Security and my wife makes half as much. And you know, it's
2:17:32
gonna be almost nothing. Of course, expect Well, there you
2:17:35
go. Yeah, I never thought of that. So they're going to
2:17:39
implement to somehow, because it's a necessity, and I don't
2:17:44
know how it's going to come. It's not going to be good. It's
2:17:48
going to be something it's going to be something screwed up about
2:17:51
it. You know that yes. Government.
2:17:53
Adam Curry: Yeah. But maybe we won't be around maybe it'll take
2:17:55
a long time. Maybe. No,
2:17:57
John C Dvorak: I think it's going to take a long time. We
2:17:58
can cruise along for a while. You're gonna first I gotta get
2:18:00
set up the shanty towns.
2:18:02
Adam Curry: Yes, yes, yes, yes, this
2:18:04
John C Dvorak: is good news. And I have a shanty town story kind
2:18:07
of this like a street on up here in Novato. I didn't know
2:18:13
anything about this. I was watching this on the news.
2:18:16
Where's this clip? Good questions on here.
2:18:24
Adam Curry: Homeless Novato solution. Gotcha. That would
2:18:27
John C Dvorak: probably be the clip
2:18:28
Unknown: campers began showing up on Binford Road in rural
2:18:31
Nevada shortly after the 2017 Tubbs fire made a lot of Sonoma
2:18:35
County residents homeless. Over the years. It's grown thanks to
2:18:39
the pandemic, the economy and high cost of living. Dino monta.
2:18:43
Reylo moved his trailer here from Sonoma County about eight
2:18:46
months ago and says a lot of the stress has been relieved here
2:18:51
is nice because you don't have to worry about the shares coming
2:18:54
in and kicking, making you move go to another spot and then
2:18:57
making you go to another spot and back and forth in standard
2:19:00
Sonoma. We that's what we're doing constantly constantly
2:19:03
shuffling individuals around or moving them from location to
2:19:06
location doesn't really solve anything. Marine supervisor Eric
2:19:10
Lucan says the county is taking a more practical approach to the
2:19:13
RVs on Binford making the encampment more livable rather
2:19:17
than just trying to remove it. They supply portable toilets and
2:19:20
hand washing stations and trash pickup three times a week so you
2:19:24
don't see piles of garbage and junk collected other camps. But
2:19:28
Lucan says there was a necessary first step number one we stopped
2:19:32
it from growing any larger, we physically closed off spaces on
2:19:36
Binford road to stop the growth. As soon as a vehicle leaves a
2:19:41
fence or earthen berm is put in its place. Slowly the number of
2:19:45
people living on Binford has been reduced to 101 individuals.
2:19:50
Just in the last month we've seen 10 individuals on Binford
2:19:54
road move into a more permanent permanent housing solution. You
2:19:58
know the approach we're taking on Binford is We want the next
2:20:01
move that anybody on Binford road has to make that next move
2:20:04
they should make should be into into a house to encourage that
2:20:08
the county is trying something new, an idea that work to clear
2:20:11
out many of the unwanted anchor out boats in Richardson harbor.
2:20:15
They're offering to pay people on Binford road who find
2:20:18
permanent housing $175 per linear foot for their old RVs.
2:20:24
So a standard RV that might be four or $5,000. These funds can
2:20:28
be used for first last month's rent security deposit or whole
2:20:31
variety of things needed when they make that move.
2:20:33
Adam Curry: Yeah, sure. Give me the money.
2:20:38
John C Dvorak: Yeah, give me the money that you need to get the
2:20:40
money here.
2:20:41
Adam Curry: Here's what I think the people experiencing
2:20:44
homelessness and we have a few people listening who have been
2:20:46
experiencing homelessness. Sure.
2:20:48
John C Dvorak: You have to buy the numbers we have. We have to
2:20:50
have quite a few actually one of our producers
2:20:52
Adam Curry: actually sent to boots on the ground. He He
2:20:55
doesn't say he's homeless. He says he is van lifing which I
2:21:00
think is a great way of just van lifing. He's a van lifer. And he
2:21:08
gave me a boots on the ground report about Humboldt Park in
2:21:11
Chicago. But he's horrible tents that they've put down for
2:21:14
migrants that that are not waterproof. They're trying to
2:21:18
throw plastic over them to waterproof or make them a little
2:21:21
bit warmer. The tent is not waterproof, rather these orange
2:21:25
things that are kind of like geodesic dome tents are no good.
2:21:30
And, and I was thinking, considering all the reports
2:21:34
we're seeing about the migration replacement program from the
2:21:38
United Nations into mainly the United States but of course all
2:21:41
over Western Europe is your best bet is to find one of these. One
2:21:49
of these people who works for these agencies, these NGOs who
2:21:52
shuttle illegal immigrants around you can always you'll
2:21:57
know because of a clipboard or maybe an umbrella or both. And
2:22:01
just go over there and say and snowing glass and then you'll
2:22:04
get a debit card you're gonna phone you're buying. You get a
2:22:09
you get you can get a piece of paper that you can travel to any
2:22:12
city you want. This is people are mad. Everybody seeing this
2:22:17
now. People are mad about these long lines to get on the plane.
2:22:21
The paying customers now have to wait while the illegal migrants
2:22:26
get on the board first. They don't have to show any ID. They
2:22:31
can it's people are mad. This is this is the Biden has screwed
2:22:36
this one up. They really you know ball blows his taxes taxes.
2:22:40
No, no, no. The coming from Arizona. They're coming from and
2:22:46
they're they're getting on flight. So it's Texas now. No,
2:22:50
I'm so sorry. I thought that you said something.
2:22:56
John C Dvorak: No, I just mumbled Texas. I think I have a
2:22:58
migration update. It says duration but it's actually
2:23:03
migration update on NTD.
2:23:04
Unknown: More people are entering the United States
2:23:06
illegally this week. Fox News on Friday published this video of
2:23:10
African men arriving at the southern border saying only two
2:23:14
border agents were on the scene to process all of the people you
2:23:17
see here. CBP tells the outlet that there have been 45,000
2:23:22
encounters at the border since Monday, able to fill Yankee
2:23:25
Stadium in just four days. Monday was the highest day of
2:23:29
encounters ever recorded with 12,600. December is on pace to
2:23:33
become the highest month ever. Many say they're heading for
2:23:36
sanctuary cities. New York, New York, Chicago, Chicago, Chicago,
2:23:42
Chicago. Mexico's president on Friday acknowledged the
2:23:46
situation is getting worse. Even what's happening. We will boost
2:23:50
as much as we can to help maintain an orderly flow of
2:23:54
migrants, which recently there was an abnormal surge of
2:23:57
migrants are they
2:23:58
now this king, he now says he'll step up efforts on Mexico
2:24:02
southern border with Guatemala and seek agreements to manage
2:24:05
higher numbers of immigrants attempting to enter the US? Oh,
2:24:09
higher
2:24:09
Adam Curry: numbers. Oh, just manage them. Don't worry about
2:24:11
it. Africa, there are now these so called travel agencies in
2:24:17
Senegal. They have websites. They have completely complete
2:24:21
packages. Well, yeah, we'll get you we'll get you to the US.
2:24:26
John C Dvorak: Like it's like Yeah, well, that guy in that
2:24:27
report who whose voice I love. He said they showed that mostly
2:24:33
Africans coming in as slot Africans, but they'd be Play
2:24:36
Part Two.
2:24:37
Unknown: Meanwhile, Texas is now reportedly adding anti climbing
2:24:41
technology to its fences in Brownsville that's by erecting
2:24:44
12 foot tall fences laced with three feet of concertina wire.
2:24:48
This comes just that love
2:24:50
Adam Curry: the anti climbing technology. Wire I love
2:24:55
Unknown: this called my mighty rifle. This comes just days
2:24:58
after a court temporary rarely prohibited the federal
2:25:01
government from removing the state's razor wires. And lastly,
2:25:05
in New York City, the United Federation of Teachers is suing
2:25:08
Mayor Eric Adams back in November, Adams warned of budget
2:25:12
cuts for city services.
2:25:14
So it's going to is going to be extremely painful for New
2:25:16
Yorkers. And that is why we continue to say we need help.
2:25:19
The mayor now wants to cut half a billion dollars from education
2:25:23
in order to deal with the influx of illegal immigrants.
2:25:26
Adam Curry: Oh, this is great. All right, but I have one clip
2:25:28
from Chicago, just so we can hear what Chicago has done
2:25:32
because you know, it's Texas, Texas, these people, the one you
2:25:35
just heard they're getting on planes flying in Chicago, but
2:25:37
okay, it's Texas. It's that horrible Texans government. I
2:25:40
can't believe that Governor, that guy's no good if he wasn't
2:25:43
in a wheelchair, I'd beat him up. So they've now put a rule in
2:25:49
place in Chicago. That if you if you're coming in with a bus with
2:25:53
illegal immigrants, then you have to call up five days ahead
2:25:57
of time to get permission. But of course they can't or they
2:26:00
encounter the bus impound the bus. Of course, no one's going
2:26:03
to because you're not gonna get permission from the sanctuary
2:26:06
cities from now. Oh, no, no, so that just dropping them off
2:26:09
anywhere now
2:26:10
Unknown: lets companies from Texas are dropping off migrants
2:26:13
in areas outside Chicago Friday night Hinsdale became the latest
2:26:17
suburb to see migrants dropped off without advanced warning.
2:26:20
City officials say communication is broken down between Chicago
2:26:24
and officials along the southern border. Buses transporting
2:26:27
migrants are avoiding the city's designated landing zone. This is
2:26:30
in response to tougher penalties for bus owners who violate a new
2:26:34
city ordinance. This week. migrants were dropped off in
2:26:37
areas like wooddale Aurora and Kankakee County Sheriff Mike
2:26:40
Downey says migrants were found walking on Interstate 57. They
2:26:44
were dropped off Thursday morning at a truck stop. They
2:26:46
were told that they had read Chicago he says migrants were
2:26:49
wrapped in blankets and several children were among them. They
2:26:53
all came from El Paso, Texas has offices working on tracking down
2:26:57
the bus company. Meanwhile, in Aurora, we
2:26:59
didn't turn anyone away. And I hope that as you all leave this
2:27:03
room today, you have that clear Aurora city
2:27:06
leaders hold a special meeting Friday afternoon to discuss the
2:27:09
influx of migrants arriving by bus at the Aurora Transportation
2:27:12
Center. They say migrants are being encouraged to board Metro
2:27:15
trains and head to Chicago, they pass an emergency ordinance
2:27:19
requiring bus companies to now give a five day notice to get
2:27:22
approval for a drop off along with a detailed care plan for
2:27:26
their passengers.
2:27:27
It's necessary for us to be responsible
2:27:30
and take those steps to protect not only those individuals that
2:27:35
being dropped off here in Aurora those migrants but also protect
2:27:38
the residents of Aurora. And
2:27:40
again, just today migrants we're seeing boarding trains from
2:27:43
Aurora to Chicago that new ordinance in Aurora going into
2:27:48
effect tonight the buses in violation will be facing fines
2:27:51
and potential forfeiture of their bus.
2:27:54
Adam Curry: This is the single issue that that will not makes
2:27:58
Biden unelectable unreal electable. The Americans are
2:28:02
sick of it and they're sick of it because it seems like we
2:28:06
don't hate these people. But no, just stop. This is this is
2:28:10
ridiculous. Have you seen the Eagle Pass video? Yeah, wow.
2:28:14
It's like Disneyland lines. And we're like Disneyland. This is
2:28:18
this is totally crazy. So what is Biden to go talk to Mexico
2:28:25
Unknown: in the town of Eagle Pass hundreds of people waiting
2:28:29
the coal to be processed by US border officials.
2:28:32
In recent weeks illegal border crossings have seen a surge
2:28:36
straining immigration services. President Biden who is seeking
2:28:41
reelection next year is trying to regain control of the issue.
2:28:45
He has been under significant political pressure to curb the
2:28:48
numbers President
2:28:50
had a chance this morning to speak by phone with President
2:28:53
Lopez Obrador of Mexico. two leaders agreed that additional
2:28:57
enforcement actions are urgently needed so that key ports of
2:29:01
entry can be reopened across our shared border. President Biden
2:29:05
has asked Secretary of State Tony Blinken, Secretary of
2:29:08
Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and White House
2:29:12
Homeland Security Adviser Liz Sherwood Randall to travel to
2:29:16
Mexico in coming days.
2:29:17
The US president has been accused by Republicans of being
2:29:20
too lacks on immigration. In recent weeks. Border Police have
2:29:24
been recording almost 10,000 people crossing the border every
2:29:27
day. This comes as the governor of Texas signed a bill on Monday
2:29:32
effectively criminalizing the illegal entry of migrants with
2:29:36
penalties ranging from 180 days in jail to 20 years in prison.
2:29:41
The law, known as SB four will also give local authorities the
2:29:46
power to deport migrants to Mexico and this set to come into
2:29:49
force in March
2:29:50
and instead of I'm also signing Senate Bill three from the
2:29:53
fourth special session. Senate Bill three as $1.54 billion More
2:30:00
to build more Border barriers and
2:30:02
walls. Like what we have here. The
2:30:05
Biden administration's takeover comes at a time when
2:30:07
parliamentarians in Washington are discussing an agreement on
2:30:11
immigration, a condition imposed by the Republicans in order to
2:30:15
unblock the financial aid to Ukraine sought by the
2:30:18
President's.
2:30:19
Adam Curry: There you go.
2:30:20
John C Dvorak: Did you know she said the Biden administration's
2:30:23
takeover? Yeah, I
2:30:25
Adam Curry: heard that. What does that mean? I'm not sure.
2:30:30
I'm not sure. When was that report from the France 24? All
2:30:37
they have to do is just say, No, we're just going to adhere to
2:30:39
the law. They don't need comprehensive immigration
2:30:41
reform. No, the
2:30:42
John C Dvorak: only thing the law is the law we have a law in
2:30:45
place we're gonna get comprehensive
2:30:46
Adam Curry: immigration reform it will require the ID in order
2:30:50
to work that now that Whitney Webb that's what's happening.
2:30:54
That's where your your government ID comes in. That's
2:30:58
where That's where it comes from. Not from X. All right. Let
2:31:06
me just just so we can just a little bit of Christmas cheer.
2:31:10
Let's go down under for Christmas cheer. We're
2:31:12
Unknown: in for a COVID Christmas this year as cases
2:31:15
rise, particularly in children. Lose Daniels takes us through
2:31:19
the latest data from New South Wales Health.
2:31:21
Well School's out and COVID about the number of emergency
2:31:25
department presentations has been climbing steadily over the
2:31:28
past three weeks, driven by children and people aged between
2:31:32
17 and 49. New South Wales Health sewage surveillance now
2:31:37
pointing to Bondi, Liverpool and Quakers Hill as the virus
2:31:41
hotspots with new variants including J and one on the rise.
2:31:45
There were also increases in the number of influenza and RSV
2:31:49
cases, both also surging in children and New South Wales
2:31:53
Health advice perhaps the greatest gift you can give your
2:31:56
vulnerable loved ones these Christmas is to take them to get
2:32:00
the newest updated monovalent to shop.
2:32:04
Adam Curry: There you go. Hey, you go and it's the wastewater
2:32:07
we know this because of the your poop water and Ives how we know
2:32:10
that COVID is on the rise.
2:32:12
John C Dvorak: And of course we know it's on the rise because of
2:32:14
this super clip I have.
2:32:16
Adam Curry: Oh, no, please don't play it because we played that
2:32:18
in 2021.
2:32:20
John C Dvorak: It's just a classic.
2:32:23
Adam Curry: How about this? How about this? How about I play
2:32:26
your classic but I play it from Episode 1392 2021.
2:32:33
John C Dvorak: Does that sound good day wonders they've been
2:32:35
added into the exact same clip, especially the TV broadcasters.
2:32:40
There
2:32:41
Adam Curry: is a fabulous supercut that has been doing the
2:32:44
rounds which I shall play for you that illustrates exactly how
2:32:50
much big pharma owns. The media is brought to you by
2:32:54
Unknown: Pfizer, CBS Healthwatch
2:32:56
sponsored by Pfizer, Anderson Cooper 360.
2:33:01
Brought to you by Pfizer.
2:33:02
John C Dvorak: I'll just say okay, I'll tell you this is not
2:33:05
the exact same one because the first clip in this new one's
2:33:08
longer. It's the same thing. It has a woman passing out and then
2:33:12
every other clip has a woman or a guy falling over
2:33:14
Adam Curry: yes this morning sponsored by Pfizer. Good
2:33:17
Morning America is brought to you by fire. CBS Healthwatch
2:33:21
sponsored by Pfizer, Anderson Cooper 360 brought to you by
2:33:26
Pfizer Nightline we're not brought to you by Pfizer but I
2:33:31
would like to say in the morning to you the man who put the seeds
2:33:34
in the COVID Christmas say hello to my friend on the other end
2:33:37
the one and only Mr. Johnson
2:33:45
John C Dvorak: in the morning, Mr. Adam curry the more he ships
2:33:47
at sea the boots on the ground the feet in the air the subs in
2:33:49
the water and the Dames
2:33:51
Adam Curry: and the mornings
2:33:58
Wow, a whole bunch of them ran away. I don't even want to tell
2:34:02
you what the count is for today. It's Christmas. Christmas is
2:34:06
bad. John is bad. It was the best of times it was the worst
2:34:10
of times. 13 No. Nobody's
2:34:12
John C Dvorak: expected to be listening to our show. Except
2:34:15
the ones that are important people out there. 1000 A day
2:34:20
like is a holiday when they should be spending time with
2:34:22
friends
2:34:23
Adam Curry: and families. 1393 Charles Holy moly. That
2:34:27
John C Dvorak: is the record low for a Sunday is pretty bad.
2:34:32
That's the record low for Sunday because that's that's half of
2:34:35
what the audience
2:34:35
Adam Curry: should be as low. Okay,
2:34:37
John C Dvorak: I tell you it's just low. Maybe the material was
2:34:40
no good today.
2:34:41
Adam Curry: The material was dynamite. We did nothing but
2:34:43
laugh. I mean, if we're not laughing then we didn't do our
2:34:48
job. Oh no, I think and you know what, these are the true trolls.
2:34:52
These are the the the hard core core trolls or hardcore trolls.
2:34:58
And you can become one of those trolls On Thursdays and Sundays,
2:35:01
we'll do the show live, you can do it at work, go to troll
2:35:03
room.io, you can just put it on your web browser, you can, you
2:35:06
know, if someone comes along footnote, Alt Tab, Alt Tab to
2:35:10
the back, you bring up that spreadsheet, then pretend like
2:35:12
you're doing something. But meanwhile, the troll room and
2:35:15
it's great because you can just say whatever you want, you can
2:35:18
grab a and you know, it's cool. And there's no accountability
2:35:23
because it scrolls off. It's ephemeral. It should be
2:35:25
John C Dvorak: lowered next Sunday, because that is actually
2:35:28
New Year's Day Eve. Where's he? We're starting Years Eve, where
2:35:32
people are partying?
2:35:33
Adam Curry: Yes, well, there will be we have partying trolls.
2:35:37
There's some trolls who like to party. Yeah, it'd be good. I'm
2:35:40
looking forward. We don't mind working on these days. Because
2:35:43
no, we actually enjoy it. Yeah, we do. I don't know why. But for
2:35:47
some reason, we enjoy it. Troll room.io is where you can find us

live, you can also get one of those. All the podcast apps now
2:35:54
have new versions, they everybody worked really hard. So
2:35:57
podcast, apps.com, get a modern one. It'll alert you when we go
2:36:01
live with the show. It's the same app where you get the show
2:36:04
when we publish it. So and you can also especially those of you
2:36:07
who may, some of you, apparently about 4% of the podcast app
2:36:12
market was Google podcasts. They're closing down, people
2:36:17
getting their emails now. And they say, Well, you can export
2:36:21
your subscriptions to to YouTube Music app tells you that you can
2:36:27
export your OPML file, that's what they call OPML. And you can
2:36:31
export it right into any of the new podcast apps, the modern
2:36:34
ones. Yep. So do that podcast. apps.com value for value is how
2:36:38
we have survived through the podcast winter. We've been doing
2:36:43
it for 16 years. But there's a big podcast winter coming up
2:36:47
right now, as advertisers just run away. Because, you know,
2:36:51
Spotify failed and all that and a whole bunch of reasons for it.
2:36:55
But we knew that we would weather the storm if people
2:36:58
actually enjoy the outstanding product that we make. And you
2:37:01
keep telling us that it is an outstanding product. So we're
2:37:04
still here. When that ends, the show ends it's that simple. What
2:37:08
was that story you had about that meat shop?
2:37:12
John C Dvorak: Yeah, you know, so here's the thing. So I'm, I
2:37:17
like game. And there was, you know, reindeer meat is
2:37:22
delicious. So you're gonna get that here in the United States,
2:37:24
but it's delicious elk and get deer. You can get moose, by the
2:37:29
way, killer moose. And so there's this game shop that was
2:37:33
in a peninsula and it was known to have all these these these
2:37:38
crazy meats, including quail and different duck. And I one year I
2:37:46
was going to go down there and get some meat for a special
2:37:48
event and the place it closed down completely was gone. And it
2:37:54
left me feeling that well maybe myself and others who are like
2:37:58
eating elk and moose if we had supported the place just for
2:38:03
maybe once in a while instead of waiting five years to go down
2:38:07
there to place would still be in business and be doing a good
2:38:11
business and I could now go down there and get what I want to
2:38:14
know gone for good. That's right. Never come never came
2:38:17
back and you're still sad about or still worked about him. So
2:38:21
don't let that happen to you people. This is what happened to
2:38:23
cranky geeks by the way, same thing. A real it's never coming
2:38:27
back.
2:38:28
Adam Curry: And that's because people didn't support you.
2:38:33
John C Dvorak: We couldn't do well as long as it fell apart.
2:38:37
The same thing because people watching come back. That's the
2:38:40
point. People weren't buying it goes away. Did never comes back.
2:38:43
I mean, this is where it reminds us Are you and I have been
2:38:46
talking about some of these return to TV bullcrap shows like
2:38:50
oh, like what was the one rager Fraser Fraser no good. It's just
2:38:55
terrible. They lost. They lost. The plot is not funny. It's not
2:38:59
the same writers. It's no good. And my favorite one and I have
2:39:03
to apologize to you for this one. Because you made the
2:39:06
comment just out of the blue. I'm talking about the Jon
2:39:09
Stewart show. Jon Stewart had a show on Apple or something and
2:39:13
you said he was fired? Yes. I said no. He wasn't fired. He
2:39:16
agreed to quit. I made it. Yeah, he was making it up. I didn't
2:39:19
know until I watched the show.
2:39:22
Adam Curry: And then you're like No wonder he was fired. It
2:39:25
John C Dvorak: was terrible. He wasn't funny. He was like, you
2:39:28
know knee jerk liberal stuff. That was no good. He is butting
2:39:31
in on things. He shouldn't be having anything to do with
2:39:34
didn't have the same writers obviously. No. And it was no
2:39:37
good. And they Yeah, and he got booted off but I think he was
2:39:41
fired. Yes,
2:39:43
Adam Curry: he was fired. He was fired. out you're fired. You're
2:39:47
done. You're toast goodbye.
2:39:49
John C Dvorak: But as Kelsey Grammer thing is no good is no
2:39:51
good. What is good they did the same thing by the way with the
2:39:54
with the show. That was the name of this show. That guy was the
2:39:59
guy On the slinger Marshall. It's not called vengeance. It's
2:40:04
Adam Curry: called Clouds MacLeod.
2:40:06
John C Dvorak: No, no, God wasn't McLeod. What cloud was
2:40:10
the show? Yes. When I'm talking about,
2:40:13
Adam Curry: I don't know what you're talking about.
2:40:16
John C Dvorak: Timothy Olyphant was the main character. Somebody
2:40:18
might remember what it is gonna try to bring
2:40:20
Adam Curry: that back Gunsmoke.
2:40:24
John C Dvorak: They should try to bring Gunsmoke back I bet you
2:40:26
that really failed they
2:40:28
Adam Curry: bring back Hogan's Heroes. That will be funny.
2:40:31
Hogan said you needed people saying crane, justified just
2:40:36
John C Dvorak: justified. Yes, exactly. Justify, they brought
2:40:38
it back. So here's the show. This premise was a guy who was
2:40:42
he was a martial, but he was also the premise was he was a
2:40:45
quick draw artist. So he would get some beef with people and he
2:40:49
would just gun him down. So he was killing people in the first
2:40:52
year, especially everybody, somebody was getting going down
2:40:56
every show. So the second they bring it back after a few years
2:41:00
of high they left it and then they brought it back. And they
2:41:03
left a gunslinger part out, which was the only part that was
2:41:07
interesting. Oh, dumb is that
2:41:10
Adam Curry: that's right. When we're gone. There's that's it?
2:41:12
I'd be no agenda. It can never be no agenda again.
2:41:15
John C Dvorak: And if there isn't, it'll be like a dud. No,
2:41:18
Adam Curry: it won't. It'll be Adam and Mo what he's talking
2:41:20
about now will both be a dud Yes. What I said what was not a
2:41:26
dud was the artwork. Although I did have some comments on it.
2:41:30
You didn't like it at all the artwork which came from Dame
2:41:33
Kenny Ben for episode 1618. Of course, we titled that fat
2:41:37
leonard, how could we not? And well, even though the art
2:41:42
Jenner's generator is back up, and thank you so much for Polka
2:41:45
tour for resurrecting it for bringing it back from the dead.
2:41:49
The artwork? For some reason, John, you wanted to go for a
2:41:53
traditional Christmas thing? I'm like, No, let's do that on
2:41:56
Christmas. I wanted the curry Devorah swear jars, which I
2:42:01
thought was great. You were like, Man, this has no dynamics
2:42:05
if the and then you'd like I want the Christmas the Christmas
2:42:09
stockings hung by the fire. And like this boring much episode.
2:42:14
There were two choices from Dame Kenny Ben. One was just your
2:42:18
stocking my stocking. And then she had a second one with M five
2:42:22
M. When under the day you call in a bag of coal but then mine
2:42:27
my stockings in the fire? Yeah,
2:42:30
John C Dvorak: this is your complaint you said yeah. And
2:42:33
usually here's the dilemma. Did you give a Louis inside baseball
2:42:36
here you also said okay, we'll take this one but I'm gonna
2:42:40
bitch about it on the next show
2:42:42
Adam Curry: because my stalking was in the fire years his
2:42:45
stalking was in the fire. I don't like it in the fire. The
2:42:48
like, I didn't delete a drawing. We both kind of like Darren
2:42:53
O'Neill's press stooges but we agreed that the press bad
2:43:01
badgers in their hat band was too small and people might not
2:43:05
get it although the goofy look was pretty good for AI. It's aI
2:43:09
obvious Yeah,
2:43:09
John C Dvorak: it was a it was aI everyone's got aI
2:43:13
Adam Curry: you even tried to pawn off that no weed no phone
2:43:16
thing that was no good for a man that was also Dan Kennedy. Ben
2:43:20
you try it you'd like Oh, that's great. No, it's not. Was not did
2:43:24
not then you did you tried it? And then what else was there?
2:43:29
There was kind of it. There really wasn't. Wasn't much. It
2:43:33
looks like people understand for this show. People have caught on
2:43:37
there's a lot of traditional Christmas artwork. So I'm
2:43:40
excited to look at that when we're done. But thank you damn
2:43:43
candy, man. We really appreciate your time. Two in a row for her.
2:43:46
That is Yes, that's right.
2:43:48
John C Dvorak: So she gets it again today and the hat trick.
2:43:51
She gets
2:43:51
Adam Curry: it. That's right. So it's pretty rare on petitioners
2:43:54
on That's right. And she'll get on the front page of The Art
2:43:56
Generator, no agenda, art generator.com You can play
2:43:58
along. You could actually participate. You can upload your
2:44:02
own artwork, you know, get your whole artist profiles all
2:44:05
swanky. If you when you get on the front page as leader boards.
2:44:09
There's all kinds of cool things. It's Republica tourism.
2:44:11
And that's another example of time, talent or treasure, time
2:44:15
and talent a lot of time and talent and probably put some
2:44:17
treasure in there too. Just to make this thing work. We
2:44:20
appreciate it. Same with all the producers who help us here it is
2:44:24
value for value. We provide the value upfront there's no no
2:44:28
paywalls no Patreon levels, you know, no tricks, no gimmicks, no
2:44:32
advertising, no creepy corporate money. We just say hey, if you
2:44:36
if you got any value out of the show, send it back to us. Some
2:44:38
people don't do it for years then they do. Some people do a
2:44:41
little bit every single month for years and years and years
2:44:44
and all sudden they're night or day. Doesn't matter. But we
2:44:47
can't determine the value that you receive. We can't tell
2:44:50
determine what value you place on that. But we do have a number
2:44:55
of people who have given us the treasure of the time, talent and
2:44:58
treasure and we want to thank them right now starting off with
2:45:01
and there he is. The man who always saves the day at the end
2:45:04
of the month, sir animus of Dogpatch on lower Slobo via he
2:45:10
sends his he's always sends it to us and cash. It always
2:45:13
includes a $2. Bill. I'm just going to guess that was one at
2:45:16
least one $2 bill today or maybe six. No one $4,000 $4,012 Wow,
2:45:25
this is massive, massive thank
2:45:28
John C Dvorak: you is just a base one of his biggest
2:45:30
donations for this
2:45:31
Adam Curry: end of year. Thank you so much, and he always has a
2:45:34
typewritten note. When today's note, interestingly, has a has a
2:45:42
has a footnote, I noticed he has a little one. And there's a
2:45:49
footnote Do you see that? I'm gonna go open it now he has a
2:45:53
footprint. It doesn't I'm trying to see where the number one Oh,
2:45:56
okay. The I when I hit the footnote, I will read the
2:45:59
footnote from synonymous with Dogpatch and lo Shlomo via thank
2:46:03
you to all producers that always make this such an insightful
2:46:05
source of information. deconstruction of the three
2:46:09
university presidents testimony was enlightening and paralleled
2:46:13
a discussion with another university president Serrano's
2:46:17
gets around. She shared the view that the presidents were
2:46:21
overlawyered, which is what I said, and had a 47 word Title
2:46:26
Nine mindset that no Congress person would understand or
2:46:30
appreciate. It's what you said. So a fourth university president
2:46:36
who was smart enough not to get invited, confirmed that we were
2:46:41
spot on Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to the many producers.
2:46:44
Thank you for your faith. Oh, wait. The footnote. She shared
2:46:50
the view that the presidents were overloaded and had a 47
2:46:53
word Title Nine mindset. Now the word I have here, the footnote,
2:46:57
no person, the United States shall on the basis of sex, be
2:47:01
educated. Be six, be excluded from participation in you got
2:47:06
it? Right. I'd got it right. Oh, I've read it again. No person in
2:47:09
the United States shall on the basis of sex be excluded from
2:47:12
participation in be denied the benefits of or be subjected to
2:47:17
discrimination under any education program or activity
2:47:22
receiving federal Finance, Financial Assistance? There you
2:47:26
go. They can't do it. Otherwise, money goes away. Is that the
2:47:31
basic premise here?
2:47:34
John C Dvorak: Yeah, the premise is that they would have been
2:47:37
violating Title Nine by their interpretation at the moment.
2:47:42
And that's what the lawyers I think, convinced him of when in
2:47:44
fact, they could have said any number of things. They're,
2:47:48
they're too rigid. These women were not smart, trained. They're
2:47:52
not well, they're probably weren't smart, but they weren't
2:47:54
trained in obfuscation and how to talk to agencies properly and
2:48:01
how to beat around the bush proper way. Happy
2:48:04
Adam Curry: Hanukkah, Merry Christmas to the many producers

you and everybody feels the same. It's like a bar to alert
3:18:20
the affiliates.
3:18:22
Unknown: What happened?
3:18:23
Adam Curry: How did that happen? How long donations I guess? That
3:18:27
happened? I should have realized I didn't realize we had so many
3:18:29
50s That was really, really nice to see though. Nice to see. ISOs
3:18:36
and to show ISOs Okay, go. Oh, I have three let's lean into love.
3:18:42
Nice Christmas message. Yeah, are you Oh, you sound
3:18:45
underwhelmed? Totally. Okay, second one,
3:18:49
Unknown: but it's true.
3:18:52
John C Dvorak: That's a good one for some other day.
3:18:54
Adam Curry: Okay, well, this one may just change your mind about
3:18:57
my ISO offerings.
3:18:58
John C Dvorak: Why on earth does this stuff make the news? Cool.
3:19:02
I like that one. I don't think it's I think I've got the one.
3:19:07
Well of course you do. But I have a bunch of them so we can
3:19:10
try a few. Let's try to start with Festivus
3:19:12
Adam Curry: let's try them on for size.
3:19:14
Unknown: Oh Festivus for the rest of us.
3:19:18
Adam Curry: Okay, yeah, that's decent.
3:19:21
John C Dvorak: Then well let's go to in the clear we're pretty
3:19:24
much in the clear.
3:19:25
Adam Curry: I mean, they're all chopped off they're not good.
3:19:28
The chopped off at the end.
3:19:31
John C Dvorak: A Nutcracker Nutcracker slash Nutcracker.
3:19:36
Adam Curry: Okay, you got me on that one.
3:19:39
John C Dvorak: Okay, now you got two ones that are gonna win.
3:19:41
Now. It could be this one. Let's start with Merry Christmas to
3:19:45
Okay. Merry Christmas. Everyone knows like Dracula saying Merry
3:19:51
Christmas. But then I'll just go to the cut to the chase after
3:19:56
Adam Curry: boring us. Yeah, with the crap ones. Just get to
3:19:59
the good one.
3:20:00
John C Dvorak: It's gonna be this tomorrow's Christmas and I
3:20:02
don't know how we can't use this one which is Merry Christmas
3:20:05
one.
3:20:06
Unknown: Merry Christmas
3:20:09
John C Dvorak: yeah clear to the point not chopped off
3:20:13
Adam Curry: what I would actually do is I mean I'm
3:20:16
thinking you could also do a combo Merry Christmas
3:20:20
Unknown: slash Nutcracker
3:20:23
John C Dvorak: Come on Come you want to add a little? Yeah okay,
3:20:27
Adam Curry: I think slash nutcrackers Best Buy no Mike
3:20:30
come on man You can't beat that now it's time for
3:20:35
John C Dvorak: GCD All right, which is the shortest? Actually
3:20:40
with the shortest is that one I want to just play as a as a
3:20:43
throw away. So I got to today okay, one's only eight seconds.
3:20:47
And um, you want the shortest. We could start doing ones like
3:20:51
this. Stalin
3:20:52
Unknown: returns with his annual segment asking people to share
3:20:56
with their good news. They
3:20:57
got a new cat and they learned how
3:20:59
Adam Curry: to read. Hopefully you have another one. That was
3:21:04
good. That was good. The
3:21:06
John C Dvorak: new cat and I learned how to read. Very good
3:21:09
Adam Curry: news. Almost perfect. But instead we'll play
3:21:12
what is this man and pony? Man and pony. Is this something from
3:21:17
Mexico from Tijuana? No, no, it's
3:21:19
John C Dvorak: not what you're thinking. Finally
3:21:21
Unknown: tonight, it is never too late for your holiday wish
3:21:24
to come through. Take a look. Mr. Berg is 100 years young and
3:21:30
always wanted a pony for Christmas. He lives at a senior
3:21:34
living location in Yuba City. And as you see here, they teamed
3:21:38
up with Blue Zones project to make his dream come true. Oh,
3:21:42
and as you see here, he was all smiles when he was finally able
3:21:46
to pet that cute pony. Something that he had wished for when he
3:21:49
was a kid.
3:21:49
I had to keep thinking that I wrote a letter to Santa Claus 90
3:21:53
years ago and never got my pony. But this time I got it. So don't
3:22:01
give up hope and keep wishing Santa Claus eventually come
3:22:05
through.
3:22:07
Yes, he will. Mr. Verse advice to children is to not be
3:22:11
surprised if you don't get what you want immediately. But keep
3:22:14
wishing and believing. And eventually as you heard him say
3:22:18
it might indeed come through
3:22:21
Adam Curry: Ah good one John. That put me in the Christmas
3:22:25
John C Dvorak: spirit. That should ever by the way anyone
3:22:28
out there that starts saying stuff like 100 years young.
3:22:32
Yeah, should be shot.
3:22:34
Unknown: A good news story from JCD happy vibes for you and me
3:22:41
and we all feel beds now. He's done his bit to the back to
3:22:46
reality. That's turning to shit
3:22:49
Adam Curry: on everybody. That is our show. That's it for the
3:22:53
Christmas Eve spectacular. Spectacular here on the no
3:22:58
agenda show. And from the Texas Hill Country, in which is
3:23:04
located in FEMA Region six. Please remember to thank your
3:23:09
mail carrier and your flight attendants. They need love this
3:23:14
Christmas season. My name is Adam curry
3:23:20
John C Dvorak: from Northern Silicon Valley. My name is John
3:23:23
C. Dvorak mine is
3:23:25
Adam Curry: the last voice you will ever hear. We return of
3:23:30

3:23:34
New Year's Eve, then we'll be working New Year's Eve as well.
3:23:37
So we appreciate if you got any value out of our Holiday
3:23:41
Spectacular that you return some value to us. So you can remember
3:23:46
us for that at DeVore act.org/na Hey, John, Merry Christmas, my
3:23:51
friend.
3:23:52
John C Dvorak: And Merry Christmas to you and all yours
3:23:54
and all the ships at sea and boots on the ground and boots on
3:23:57
the ground and beat in the air until
3:23:59
Adam Curry: we meet again on Thursday. Merry Christmas. Adios
3:24:02
mofos Oui oui. and such. Oh, that's right. Thank you Jessie
3:24:09
Coy and l Nelson. And Bill mountain a for the show makes us
3:24:12
very Christmassy boys very Christmassy.
3:24:15
Unknown: What we have to do though, is to convince them that
3:24:19
we are not easily pushed around in a cage now the agreement will
3:24:23
be unenforceable as we go around
3:24:32
they ran out of money a build up in that arm just to remind the
3:24:38
normal job we're gonna make the right where
3:24:46
they are coming for us. To them. We are the infidels. My
3:24:51
resolution airstrikes, bombed them, bomb them, keep bombing
3:24:57
them, bomb them again and again. on this
3:25:00
joyous occasion, I want to wish all of you a very Merry
3:25:04
Christmas. The
3:25:05
twinkle of a child's eye the joy of a grandmother's laughter the
3:25:08
love and the hearts of mothers and fathers for their children.
3:25:11
We came, we saw he died. didn't have anything to do with your
3:25:17
visit. I'm sure. I
3:25:20
have two words for you. Predator drones
3:25:24
you will never see it coming. Every
3:25:26
nation in every region now has a decision to make Either you are
3:25:31
with us where you are with the terrorists the decision of one
3:25:35
man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion
3:25:40
of Iraq I mean over Ukraine correct anyway.
3:25:45
Well, we should have kept the low when we got out and you
3:25:47
know, it's very interesting had we taken the lead you wouldn't
3:25:49
have ISIS because they fuel themselves with the oil that's
3:25:53
where they got the money. So you believe we can go in and take
3:25:55
the oil we should have taken the
3:25:57
oil when I searched John McCain on YouTube the biggest thing
3:26:01
that comes up is using bom bom bom bom, bom Moran 744,000 hits
3:26:07
in case you haven't checked it recently. Are you proud or
3:26:09
embarrassed of that?
3:26:10
I'm proud look,
3:26:12
when I'm in the company of veterans which I was and one of
3:26:16
them says to me when are you going to send a message to Iran
3:26:19
and we're joking around I'm gonna joke around and if someone
3:26:23
doesn't like it my advice to them is to lighten up
3:26:27
John C Dvorak: by your call to have Hooton be assassinated Do
3:26:31
you still stand
3:26:31
Unknown: by hope you'll be taken out one way or the other I don't
3:26:35
care how they take him out.
3:26:37
How dare you watch the Huskies no
3:26:41
no
3:27:08
guys shall open your eyes because standard by big pharma
3:27:19
business it's not about your health normal loss because
3:27:23
Navigators are horrible six wants to sign
3:27:43
up my brother, my sister just to make you more money
3:28:26
for a horse to get vaccine funds to score down on
3:28:47
shirts
3:28:57
President Kennedy said about golf. He said we're going you
3:29:00
know why? Because when we choose to postpone No, let's not
3:29:07
postpone and get out of the rain. God bless you all. Thank
3:29:11
you. He's crying took on Putin in terms of Iraq. I mean, excuse
3:29:17
me in terms of what was going on in Ukraine. The pressure he
3:29:24
looked at President acclamation voter fraud was detecting the
3:29:28
right people at bat and kept sundry occurring creepy robot
3:29:33
leg down the swamp is really the I'm gonna give you the whole
3:29:38
load today that watch the hair cut back up again, shoot it over
3:29:43
to pressure.
3:29:44
Why not include members of the FBI
3:29:46
and transition team as part of this summer?
3:29:49
We're gonna have to see who the next administration is because
3:29:53
we won and those swing states and there was terrible things
3:29:57
that went on. So we're gonna have to see who the next
3:29:59
administration is. We
3:30:00
have put together the most extensive and inclusive voter
3:30:04
fraud organization in the history of American politics. So
3:30:09
I learned about roaches I learned about kids jumping on my
3:30:11
lap. Why attacks and why we're
3:30:15
getting nervous. Today 1000s of President Trump supporters
3:30:20
gathered in the nation's capitol. CBS has Jeff to gaze
3:30:23
was in the crowd, including
3:30:25
the recently pardoned former National Security Adviser
3:30:28
Michael Flynn. This is the President's loyal base when
3:30:32
you have constipation unlike hostels, a soft stool is easy to
3:30:37
pass
3:30:38
shorter rush over to pressure
3:30:50
for.org/in A Christmas slash Nutcracker.
